Abstract

Research on the policy construction and implementation of the Salafiyah Curriculum in Islamic boarding schools is essential for understanding how Islamic educational institutions adapt to modern demands while maintaining traditional values. A qualitative approach was employed using participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through three stages, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the policy construction for implementing the Salafiyah Curriculum at Sa’adatuddarein is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 18 of 2014 Article 1 Paragraphs 1 and 4. This policy supports the school’s vision and mission to develop students who possess strong religious knowledge while remaining adaptive to social and technological changes in the globalization era. The curriculum is implemented by integrating the Salafiyah and Khalafi systems, combining the formal education curriculum with the traditional Islamic boarding school curriculum. This integration forms a holistic educational model where academic and religious activities are interconnected. The study confirms that the integration of curriculum and leadership policies at Sa'adatuddarein represents a strategic adaptation to globalization without neglecting Islamic educational values. The implications suggest that Islamic boarding schools can enhance their relevance and competitiveness by developing policies and curriculum models that balance tradition and modernity. These findings may serve as a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in designing contextual, sustainable, and quality-oriented learning systems in the global era.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal implementation of student administrative services at SMA Yayasan Titian Ilmu Pengabuan, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The problems are caused by the limited number of administrative staff, the absence of a head of administration, and inadequate supporting facilities. These conditions lead to delays in administrative services and less effective management of student data. This study aims to examine the role of administrative staff, the obstacles encountered, and the efforts made to improve student administrative services. This research employs a descriptive approach using a qualitative method. The research subjects consist of the principal, two administrative staff members, and three students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that administrative staff play an important role in student administrative services, including managing student data, archiving documents, issuing certificates, legalizing documents, and providing academic information. The services are considered fairly good; however, there are still obstacles such as limited human resources and inadequate facilities. Efforts to improve services include task distribution, strengthening teamwork, and increasing responsiveness to students’ needs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Islamic boarding school management strategies for responding to the challenges of the digital era, identify factors influencing technology acceptance and implementation, and explore adaptation experiences among administrators, educators, and students. This study used a multi-site qualitative case study design involving six Islamic boarding schools in Jambi Province, Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using an interactive model that included data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion verification. The results revealed three main themes: (1) strategic digital management through institutional restructuring and administrative modernization; (2) technology acceptance influenced by policy support, infrastructure readiness, and human resource capacity; and (3) stakeholder adaptation characterized by selective technology integration while maintaining traditional learning methods such as sorogan and bandongan. This study concludes that sustainable digital transformation in Islamic boarding schools depends on strategic leadership that aligns technological advancements with religious identity. This research contributes by developing a holistic management framework that integrates digital transformation, organizational adaptation, and culturally responsive leadership in the context of Islamic educational institutions.
