Abstract

PT Cikarang Listrindo merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pembangkit listrik tenaga uap. Batubara merupakan bahan bakar yang digunakan untuk mengubah air menjadi uap, uap yang dihasilkan digunakan untuk menggerakkan turbin untuk menghasilkan daya pada generator dan menghasilkan listrik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kualitas batubara agar sesuai standar spesifikasi umpan boiler. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah six sigma untuk menentukan permasalahan yang terjadi dan data mining digunakan untuk mengelompokkan data yang akan digunakan. Hasil penelitian six sigma dengan menggunakan pendekatan DMAIC ditemukan ukuran batubara yang masuk kedalam boiler pada titik sampling BC-12B tidak memenuhi standar spesifikasi umpan boiler,  data Analisa menggunakan fishbone minitab dan decision tree menggunakan weka untuk menentukan keputusan improvement kemudian pada tahap control menggunakan perbaikan SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) yang dilakukan secara periodic untuk menjaga kualitas batubara.

Abstract

This Community Service Program uses the Community-Based Empowerment (CBM) scheme. The Mokla Coir coconut fiber craftsman group, which has been operating since 2019, faces various challenges in managing coconut fiber waste as the primary raw material. These challenges include the low market value of coconut fiber, a lack of innovative product diversification, and unsystematic production processes. Other problems are the risk of injury due to unsafe machine technology and limited marketing in traditional markets. This Community Service Program aims to develop an innovative product, the Aromatic Herbal Therapy Pillow (TERHARUM), with a higher market value. This coconut fiber-based product has the potential to be a healthier alternative to dacron and kapok. However, it must meet quality standards to reduce health risks such as allergies and sleep disorders. By utilizing the design thinking method (empathy, ideas, prototypes, and testing), the analysis highlights the need for more efficient production management, physical endurance testing, and comfort evaluation. The resulting pillow is designed to be innovative, high-value, safe, and comfortable for consumers. Overall, this Community Service Program has provided a solution for processing coconut fiber waste into high-value products, building a safe and comfortable production system, and expanding marketing reach to the international market.

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) entitled Training on the Use of Thinglink, Seven Tools, and Clustering Data Mining was conducted by lecturers, students, and laboratory staff from the Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti. The purpose of this PkM activity was to train and enhance the skills of teachers at SMAN 2 Tangerang Selatan in developing teaching materials using Thinglink and processing data utilizing the clustering method in data mining. The methods employed in this PkM included partner identification, proposal preparation, program socialization, implementation, and the preparation of reports and deliverables. This activity aimed to assist teachers in teaching and data grouping within the school environment. The activity was held on February 5–9, 2024, conducted online via Zoom and offline at SMAN 2 Tangerang Selatan. This PkM was carried out by lecturers and students of the Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, and the Quality Engineering laboratory staff. The materials provided included the Seven Tools, Clustering Data Mining, and training on using Thinglink to develop teaching materials, followed by a question-and-answer session, discussion, and questionnaire completion. Teachers were also given assignments and allotted time to present their work. This Community Service activity will provide benefits, increase knowledge, and foster collaboration between both parties.  The output of this activity is a poster and a certificate for community service.

Abstract

At the micro or local level, many Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs are beneficial to communities. Most CSR initiatives focus on the economic aspect through income-generating activities. Previous researchers have extensively discussed the implementation processes and benefits of CSR programs for communities. However, a common challenge in the implementation of these programs is the difficulty faced by organizers in engaging target groups, due to factors such as family communication and internal references. This issue has attracted researchers to explore how communication influences decision-making regarding participation among beneficiaries or target groups of CSR programs, particularly in ensuring that the economic objectives set for target families can be successfully achieved. This study employs a qualitative method, utilizing structured interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) involving 120 informants from CSR target groups considered representative. The findings indicate that the head of the household, as the primary target of the CSR program, communicates with his spouse and extended family when making decisions. The involvement of individuals outside the extended family is based on considerations of trust. The outcomes of these communication processes—among the head of the family, spouse, extended family, and trusted individuals—are significant in shaping a family’s decision to participate in a CSR program. Understanding who serves as a source of influence and inspiration in encouraging families to engage in CSR activities can enhance participation and interest among target communities, ultimately contributing to the success of the program.

Abstract

This study explores the emergence of a new culture within the radio broadcasting industry, focusing on transformations in radio programs' production, distribution, and consumption. The new culture refers to shifts driven by digital transformation, significantly altering media practices. While previous studies have largely examined digitalization in mainstream or commercial media, little attention has been given to its impact on government-owned and community-based radio stations. To address this gap, the study employs a qualitative case study approach, examining two local broadcasting institutions in Indonesia: Serang Gawe FM, a Local Public Broadcasting Institution (LPBI; Lembaga Penyiaran Publik Lokal or LPPL) operated by the Serang Regency Government, and TiRTA FM, a student-run community radio station at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and limited participatory observation, and analyzed through coding and thematic interpretation. Findings reveal that integrating internet-based technologies and social media has introduced new cultural practices in broadcasting. These include using social media to promote programs, conduct live streams, and distribute content via audio streaming platforms, resulting in greater audience reach and enhanced interactivity. The digital transformation has redefined the roles of broadcasters and listeners, fostering more participatory and dynamic communication. Furthermore, it enables local radio stations to connect with audience segments beyond the limitations of traditional FM signal coverage. This study contributes to ongoing discussions on media convergence and digital transformation by demonstrating that these developments are both technological and cultural. It emphasizes the importance of institutional adaptability and highlights the evolving relationship between media producers and audiences in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the event organizer’s strategic management in venue selection to increase visitor interest, using the Franchise & License Expo Indonesia (FLEI) organized by Panorama Media as a case study. Venue selection plays a crucial role in attracting visitor participation, especially in the increasingly competitive MICE industry. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis focusing on two main venues: Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) and Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo). The findings indicate that accessibility, strategic location, market segmentation, and supporting facilities such as parking and venue comfort are dominant factors in venue selection. Data reveals that FLEI 2023 at JCC attracted significantly more visitors than FLEI 2024 at JIExpo, highlighting the impact of venue decisions on event success. This study offers practical implications for event organizers in designing strategies based on audience demographics and preferences to enhance event effectiveness and appeal.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service activity aims to improve the capacity of homestay managers in Leuwimalang Tourism Village, Bogor Regency, through local wisdom-based management training. This effort aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the tourism village while ensuring the sustainability of community-based tourism. Methodology/approach: The program was implemented using a participatory approach through socialization, homestay management training, practical mentoring, and evaluation. The training materials emphasized service management, marketing, simple financial management, and the integration of local wisdom values. Results/findings: This activity resulted in increased knowledge and skills of homestay managers in aspects of service, financial record keeping, and local wisdom-based marketing strategies. Participants demonstrated positive changes in homestay management, including the use of more structured service standards and more creative promotions. Conclusion: The local wisdom-based management training proved effective in improving the capacity of homestay managers in Leuwimalang Tourism Village. This program contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of tourism villages and provides a model for community empowerment that can be replicated in other areas with similar characteristics. Limitations: This community service training was limited to a single location and used a short-term training approach. Contribution: This community service activity provides a practical contribution to strengthening the capacity of community-based tourism human resources and offers an adaptive training model that is relevant to the development of tourism villages, particularly in the context of vocational education and community empowerment based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang goroawase Jepang, salah satu permainan kata yang populer penggunaannya di media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan goroawase yang ditemukan dalam media sosial; proses pembentukan dan pemakaian goroawase; serta proses morfofonemik goroawase, dengan batasan masalah yaitu pada lingkup Instagram dan Twitter menggunakan kajian morfologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini: Pertama, terdapat 23 jenis goroawase yang ditemukan dalam media sosial, khususnya Twitter dan Instagram; Kedua, proses morfologisnya membentuk derivasi, afiksasi, dan reduplikasi yang hasilnya berupa sebuah kata, ungkapan, dan kalimat. Sedangkan berdasarkan pemakaian goroawase digunakan sebagai pengganti kata, ungkapan maupun kalimat yang banyak digunakan sebagai kosakata, maupun keperluan gramatikal; Ketiga, proses morfofonemik yang terjadi pada goroawase di antaranya terjadi penambahan, penghilangan dan pergantian bunyi serta terdapat juga imbuhan kosong.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa pelatihan penerapan CHSE bagi pengelola bisnis kuliner di Kabupaten Lebak. Pelatihan kali ini difasilitasi oleh Dinas Pariwisata Kabupaten Lebak dan diikuti oleh 40 orang pengelola bermacam bisnis kuliner di Kabupaten Lebak. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan berdasarkan kebutuhan pengetahuan bagi para pengelola bisnis kuliner tentang bagaimana standarisasi CHSE dan penerapannya dalam pengelolaan bisnis kuliner. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Pada quesioner yang diberikan pra pelatihan, terbukti bahwa pelatihan kuliner ini dibutuhkan oleh peserta, walaupun pesera mengakui bahwa mereka enggan untuk mengikuti sertifikasi dengan berbagai alas an. Pada pasca pelatihan, diketahui pula bahwa para peserta menganggap perlatihan ini penting bagi mereka dalam keberlangsungan bisnis kuliner mereka. Mereka juga berpendapat bahwa pelatihan semacam ini menyenangkan, berguna dan dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk kuliner mereka. Diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan ini, kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia para peserta sebagai bagian dari pemilik bisnis pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif juga dapat ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Marketing is a very important thing in doing business.Problem facedby craftsmen are limitedmarketing channels through social media by manually disseminate product information.Research purposes are develop the marketing of small and medium enterprises by using a web based information system.Methodology used is marketing analysis with Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning (STP) and Product, Price, Place, and Promotion (4P analysis), and SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Thread) analysisand methods of object oriented analysis and design withusing Unified Modeling Language (UML). Analysis undertaken to review the current system and identify the need of system. Marketing strategy that will be developed is to incease the variety of products, following the exhibition, and make the marketing information system online. Evaluation is measured through the increase in the skill of partner in operating marketing information system and the result the small medium enterprises can operate this system. The results of this research are marketing analysis and marketing information system online.
