Abstract

Technology has never ceased to grow through time. The development itself giving a chance to new media such as Youtube to grow rapidly. Youtube is one of the largest social media that we had now. Popular culture was born from YouTube, and it’s so quickly spread by anyone who does. The Innovation Diffusion Theory developed by Everett Rogers describes how new ideas and technologies spread in culture. Basically, the Innovation Diffusion Theory explains the process of how innovation is delivered through certain channels all the time to the people from the social system. The most obvious impact that we can see today was the number of famous people that came from YouTube

Abstract

This research focuses on the Sharia-compliant Multi-level Marketing (MLM) business of Tiens in Cimahi, which has obtained halal certification from BPOM in 100 countries and is maintained by the Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI). The study explores the implementation, recruitment issues, and communication strategies within this MLM business, considering the perspective of Islamic business ethics. A qualitative method is employed in this research as the information gathered from interviews is recorded and used to explain a particular phenomenon or issue. The findings indicate that the marketing strategy of Tiens Sharia MLM revolves around recruiting new members to sell products. New distributors purchase membership packages and starter kits to begin. The implementation of this MLM is carried out through regular meetings, seminars, and product introduction events. However, there is public debate regarding the halal status and legitimacy of this business. Overall, this research provides insights into the implementation of Tiens Sharia MLM, emerging ethical issues, and the societal debate surrounding this business. Awareness of sustainability and transparency in MLM operations emerges as key factors in building sustainable relationships with members and the community.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of job training and competency on employee performance using a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through questionnaires involving [number] respondents. Job training and competency were used as independent variables, while employee performance served as the dependent variable. The results indicate that job training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.606 and a t-statistics value of 5.964. Competency also has a positive and significant effect, with a path coefficient of 0.385 and a t-statistics value of 3.669. The R Square value of 0.899 demonstrates that job training and competency together explain 89.9% of the variance in employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze communication barriers present in the IM3 "Nyatakan Silaturahmi" advertisement on YouTube, using a semiotic approach based on John Fiske's theory. This advertisement was selected for its representation of social communication phenomena within the Indonesian cultural context, which strongly values the concept of "silaturahmi" (maintaining connections). Through semiotic analysis, this research seeks to uncover hidden meanings within the ad and explore how it communicates social messages to its audience. Fiske's semiotic approach is used to highlight three levels of codes in communication: reality codes, representation codes, and ideology codes, allowing for the identification of various communication barriers in message delivery. The study results reveal communication barriers in the form of differences in perception, symbol interpretation, and cultural values presented. In conclusion, these communication barriers in the ad may affect the audience's understanding of the message, highlighting the importance of contextual and cultural considerations in conveying messages through digital media. This research is expected to provide insights into designing more effective communication strategies that are culturally sensitive and suited to diverse audiences, particularly in digital advertising.

Abstract

This research aims to educate social media users to be positive if used properly and correctly, by following the current fashion developments can produce useful ones, current technology is developing more rapidly can provide information with various purposes such as exchanging information, people are able to interact without the need for face-to-face. Currently, social media is not only exchanging information but can be used as a marketing tool, advertising in social media is widely used today. Because of this, influencers have emerged, namely social media users with a large number of followers or followers, not all can be called influencers, only some people who have uniqueness in creating content or posting unique things, as nowadays most influencers create content using unique and trendy fashion to attract the attention of their followers.

Abstract

This article focuses on TikTok social media that uses AI (Artificial intelligence) technology to visualize video content. In this day and age, technology is increasingly sophisticated, one of which is AI technology which plays a major role in creating content in a short time. One of the unique concepts of using AI (artificial intelligence) is the balance to attractively visualize each object in the image. This technology can also edit and create content in the form of videos, images, illustrations, etc. The use of AI in visual communication in video content has a great effect on creating visual aesthetics to be more beautiful and have real color contrasts, and can also provide information with the video without having to use words. This research will also look at the technical description of how AI (Artificial Intelligence) can provide great benefits in providing information through video visualization. To achieve this goal, the researcher uses a qualitative approach method with phenomenology in order to get a comprehensive picture of the object of research. The role of AI in visual communication is expected to provide great benefits and apply it properly through creativity and innovation that comes from human ideas to create interesting images or videos.

Abstract

Kampung Adat Cireundeu adalah sebuah perkampungan yang terletak di daerah Leuwihgajah, Kota Cimahi. Subjek penelitian ini ialah seorang tokoh ketua Kampung Adat Cireundeu. Penelitian ini berdasarkan metode penelitian pendekatan teori konstruksi sosial atas realitas. Selain itu, metodologi yang digunakan yaitu kulitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tahapan pernikahan yang ada di Kampung Adat Cireundeu. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan interview, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Kampung Adat Cireundeu memiliki kearifan lokal yang masih sangat kental, masyarakat tidak mengonsumsi beras sebagai makanan pokoknya dan menggantikannya dengan singkong, sebagian masyarakat menganut kepercayaan Sunda Wiwitan, namun sangat toleransi antar agama. Tradisi Kampung Adat Cireundeu menjadi sebuah warisan adat yang masih memegang teguh ajaran leluhur. Tahapan pernikahan di Kampung Adat Cireundeu ini terdapat makna – makna tertentu yang memiliki arti yang sangat mendalam. Meskipun pernikahan adat masih belum diakui oleh pemerintah akan tetapi masyarakat Kampung Adat Cireundeu hingga saat ini masih memperjuangkan agar status pernikahan dapat diakui oleh pemerintah.

Abstract

Training as well as digital marketing guidance has been held for the disability community VirageAwie in Cimareme Village, Ngamprah District, West Bandung Regency. This activity aims to increase knowledge and skills in digital marketing, especially for disability community members. The program starts with FGD to identify problems, then to be continued with VirageAwie.com website creation and training themed Digital Marketing Introducing Business Through Social Media Content. Training covers discussion about marketing through social media, methods photography, videography, and product promotion. Findings show the existence of significant improvement in participants' understanding about digital marketing as well as their ability to use digital platforms to enlarge market reach. A good influence was seen in the increased ability and independent financial sustainability of the participants. This initiative needs more cooperation continued with communities, academics, and government to strengthen network marketing as well as quality power work, so that VirageAwie products can compete in the local to global market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis elemen-elemen semiotika pada cover novel The Principles of Power dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis tanda makna denotatif dan konotatif yang terdapat pada elemen visual cover novel tersebut. Data yang dikumpulkan mencakup berbagai macam elemen visual seperti gambar, tipografi, dan warna. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterkaitan warna dan gambar pada cover mencerminkan tema utama novel, yaitu jalan cerita. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sebuah cover novel bukan hanya sebagai daya tarik visual, tetapi juga sebagai representasi simbolis dari isi dan tema sebuah novel, yang dapat memberikan pemahaman pembaca tentang karya tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam studi semiotika dan analisis visual dalam literatur.

Abstract

The Preschool phase in a child's life is a crucial period requiring heightened supervision. The formation of a child's behavior is heavily influenced by parental, teacher, and environmental education, encompassing their daily observations. The Upin and Ipin animated film serves as a conduit for children to imbibe values like respect, affection, cooperation, appreciation for religious diversity, worship practices, and cultural understanding. This cinematic experience positively enriches children's understanding of virtuous behavior, given their natural inclination to emulate observed actions psychologically. The research aims to ascertain the influence of Upin and Ipin shows on behavioral changes and knowledge development in children. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involves children who are avid viewers of Upin and Ipin, utilizing instruments such as interviews and observations. The data analysis encompasses reduction, concluding, and verification steps. Findings reveal the Upin and Ipin animated film has a favorable impact on children, fostering behavioral transformations, enhancing their grasp of etiquette in parental interactions, and inspiring language emulation, all while fostering knowledge acquisition across various disciplines presented in the show.
