Abstract

This study investigates the emergence and impact of "Gripep," a term used in Indonesia to describe a combination of flu-like symptoms and psychosocial distress. Utilizing qualitative analysis, we explore the socio-cultural factors contributing to the spread of "Gripep" within Indonesian society. The research highlights the increasing prevalence of these symptoms, which manifest as heightened anxiety, depressive tendencies, and general unease. Through a comprehensive review of recent academic literature, expert interviews, and public health reports, we identify key influences such as urbanization, cultural practices, and mental health stigma that exacerbate the condition. The findings reveal significant challenges in healthcare management, underscoring the need for integrated care that addresses both physical and mental health aspects. Furthermore, the study evaluates current public health strategies aimed at controlling "Gripep," emphasizing the importance of culturally sensitive interventions. The results indicate that without timely detection and effective management, "Gripep" may lead to long-term health consequences, impacting individuals and communities. This research aims to inform policymakers and healthcare professionals, providing insights for the development of evidence-based interventions to combat this emerging public health challenge in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transitional period marked by rapid physical, cognitive, emotional, and social changes. Inability to manage these changes can lead to stress and negatively affect mental health, including anxiety, depression, and destructive behaviors. In Indonesia, the prevalence of mental health problems among adolescents continues to rise, particularly in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), where psychological well-being is often overlooked. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of video-based mental health education through the SAKTI Remaja mobile application in improving adolescents’ knowledge, attitudes, and mental health conditions in Islamic boarding schools. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test was used. A total of 80 students from a pesantren in Baron District, Nganjuk Regency, were selected using purposive sampling. The intervention was conducted over two weeks using the SAKTI Remaja app, which provided educational videos on emotional regulation, stress management, stigma, and help-seeking behavior. Instruments included the Adolescent Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire (AMHLQ), Mental Health Attitude Scale (MHAS), and Self-Reported Mental Health Condition Checklist. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and Wilcoxon signed-rank tests with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: There was a significant improvement in knowledge (pre-test = 56.5; post-test = 82.5; p < 0.001), mental health attitudes (pre-test = 62.3; post-test = 75.2; p < 0.001), and a decrease in mental health symptoms (pre-test = 3.5; post-test = 2.1; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that video-based education through the SAKTI Remaja app effectively enhanced mental health literacy, promoted positive attitudes, and reduced psychological symptoms among adolescents in pesantren. Conclusion: The SAKTI Remaja application is an innovative and effective educational intervention for improving knowledge, attitudes, and mental health conditions among adolescents in Islamic boarding schools. This video-based education model offers a relevant promotive and preventive strategy that can be integrated into youth health programs in religious-based educational institutions.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant transformation in various sectors, including the health sector. Digital health technology is now present as a smart solution to increase public awareness of personal and public health. Innovations such as mobile-based health applications, wearable devices, artificial intelligence (AI), and telemedicine not only provide easy access to health information, but also enable real-time monitoring of body conditions and personalization of care. This research aims to explore the various forms of digital health technologies that are currently developing and their impact on increasing awareness and healthy living behaviors among the public. Using a literature review approach of various academic sources and recent industry reports, it was found that effective utilization of digital technologies can improve health knowledge, encourage preventive measures, and accelerate early detection of chronic diseases. In addition, these technologies are also proven to be able to reach populations that were previously difficult to reach by conventional healthcare systems, such as people in remote areas or groups with limited mobility. However, challenges such as the digital divide, data security, and digital literacy are still obstacles that need to be overcome to optimize implementation. Overall, digital health technologies offer great opportunities to create a more inclusive, proactive and sustainable health ecosystem

Abstract

Background: Neck pain and upper cross syndrome (UCS) are common complaints among physiotherapists, often exacerbated by poor posture and repetitive tasks. These conditions can negatively impact sleep quality and overall work performance. Stretching and postural education are simple, non-invasive interventions that may reduce symptoms. Purpose:  This study aimed to determine the effects of neck stretching and postural education on neck pain, upper cross syndrome, and sleep quality among physiotherapists at PT Indo Sehat. Methods: A true experimental, descriptive-analytical study was conducted over four weeks in four PT Indo Sehat clinics. Using proportional random sampling, 60 physiotherapists with a history of neck pain and poor sleep quality were selected and divided into intervention and control groups. Interventions included stretching routines and postural correction education. Data were collected through questionnaires and observation, and analyzed using paired and independent sample t-tests. Results: The intervention group showed statistically significant improvements in neck pain (p = 0.004), sleep quality (p = 0.000), and upper cross syndrome symptoms (p = 0.000). The control group showed limited or no significant improvement, especially in UCS (p = 0.061). Comparative analysis between groups showed meaningful differences pre- and post-intervention across all three variables (p < 0.005). Conclusion: Stretching and neck posture education significantly reduce neck pain and improve sleep quality and UCS symptoms in physiotherapists. These simple interventions are effective workplace strategies and are recommended for broader implementation.

Abstract

The form of service that is the main focus of the hospital includes outpatient services or poly services, including cardiac polyclinic. Outpatient poly services are the main focus because there are more patients in outpatient polyclinics than inpatients. But in fact there are still many patients who are less loyal to the hospital due to poor service, or the communication delivered by the officer is not acceptable to the patient. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of therapeutic communication and service quality on patient loyalty at the Cardiology poly of Sakinah Islamic Hospital at Mojokerto. The design of this research is analytic observational cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were all patients at the Cardiology poly of Sakinah Islamic Hospital at Mojokerto with an average of 1520 patients per month. Samples were taken by using simple random sampling technique as many as 304 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument and tested with multiple linear regression. The results showed that partially and simultaneously independent variables (communication and service quality) affected the dependent variable (patient loyalty) which was indicated by a significance value = 0.000 < = 0.05 so that H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an influence between communication and service quality on patient loyalty. . This shows that the better the communication and service quality, the more loyal patients will be to the hospital.
