Abstract

The form of service that is the main focus of the hospital includes outpatient services or poly services, including cardiac polyclinic. Outpatient poly services are the main focus because there are more patients in outpatient polyclinics than inpatients. But in fact there are still many patients who are less loyal to the hospital due to poor service, or the communication delivered by the officer is not acceptable to the patient. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of therapeutic communication and service quality on patient loyalty at the Cardiology poly of Sakinah Islamic Hospital at Mojokerto. The design of this research is analytic observational cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were all patients at the Cardiology poly of Sakinah Islamic Hospital at Mojokerto with an average of 1520 patients per month. Samples were taken by using simple random sampling technique as many as 304 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument and tested with multiple linear regression. The results showed that partially and simultaneously independent variables (communication and service quality) affected the dependent variable (patient loyalty) which was indicated by a significance value = 0.000 < = 0.05 so that H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an influence between communication and service quality on patient loyalty. . This shows that the better the communication and service quality, the more loyal patients will be to the hospital.

Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between participation in sport and mental health through a literature review. While sport has long been recognized for its physical benefits, its impact on mental health has recently attracted greater attention. In order to analyze the literature addressing how sport affects mental health, both negatively and positively, a comprehensive search was conducted using data from journal articles, books as well as research reports published in the last two decades. It is crucial to maximize the benefits of exercise while minimizing the risks. This review reaffirms the significance of exercise as an efficacious intervention for mental health, underscoring the necessity for a balanced and informed approach to managing risks. Further research recommendations include longitudinal investigations of the long-term effects of exercise on mental health and studies of the psychological mechanisms behind its benefits. It is crucial to optimize exercise benefits while minimizing risks. This review corroborates the efficacy of exercise as an effective intervention for mental health and emphasizes the need for a balanced and informed approach to risk management. Further research is warranted to examine the long-term effects of exercise on mental health and to elucidate the underlying psychological mechanisms associated with its benefits.

Abstract

Ensuring patient safety is a critical aspect of healthcare services, influenced by various factors, including the work environment, employee motivation, and safety culture. A well-structured work environment, high motivation levels, and a strong safety culture are expected to enhance healthcare workers' performance in maintaining patient safety. However, the extent of these influences needs further investigation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work environment, work motivation, and safety culture with patient safety performance in a healthcare setting. A quantitative approach was applied using a cross-sectional study design. Data were collected from 165 healthcare workers through a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire did not undergo validity and reliability testing because it was adopted from previously validated and widely used instruments in prior research. Since the questionnaire has already been tested for accuracy and consistency in measuring the intended variables, further validity and reliability assessments were deemed unnecessary. The Spearman correlation test was used to examine the relationship between variables, while ANOVA was conducted to assess the combined influence of the independent variables on patient safety performance. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation between patient satisfaction and healthcare service quality (p = 0.000). Similarly, work motivation was significantly correlated with patient safety performance (p = 0.0), with respondents consistently rating motivation as good. Safety culture also showed a significant positive correlation with patient safety performance (p = 0.041), with a correlation coefficient of 0.065, indicating a moderate relationship. The study concludes that a supportive work environment, high work motivation, and a strong safety culture contribute significantly to patient safety performance.

Abstract

Pharmaceutical service is a direct service that is responsible for patients regarding pharmaceutical preparations to achieve definite results in order to improve the patient's quality of life. Pharmacists must understand and be aware of the possibility of errors occurring in the service process and even in medication (medication errors). Medication errors are events that cause harm to patients due to the use of medication while being treated by health workers that could have been prevented. Therefore, pharmacists in carrying out their practices must comply with existing standards to avoid this happening. Pharmacists must be able to communicate with other health professionals in determining therapy to support rational drug use. In the residency assignment, the author has written about various strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the quality of pharmacological services at the Jasem Sidoarjo General Hospital. In this study there are several strategies to improve the handling of health services for pregnant women and toddlers. Based on the conditions above, the author wants to implement a strategy to improve the quality of pharmacological services at the Jasem Sidoarjo General Hospital. This activity begins by collecting data on drugs that run out quickly and those that are slow, as well as creating a return/compensation system for unused drugs, and recommending to management to spend the majority of the budget to replenish drug stocks at the pharmacy depot to make things easier for patients. Create standard operating procedures down to every little thing and distribute them to every room, even to the pharmacy depot. Updating the integrated computer system using the latest SIM-RS to synchronize data. Conduct training for all employees in stages. And evaluate patient satisfaction once a month. It is hoped that health workers will routinely supervise and monitor the reliability and ability of staff in the quality of pharmacological services at the Jasem Sidoarjo General Hospital so that the quality of service at the hospital can be sustainable and increase patient satisfaction.
