Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pemasaran dan nilai tambah ubi jalar, yang meliputi: saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran, efisiensi pemasaran, Farmer Shares dan nilai tambah olahan ubi jalar dalam bentuk bakwan dan pastel ubi jalar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Lassang Barat dan Desa Timbuseng Kecamatan Polongbangkeng Utara, Kabupaten Takalar. Adapun Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah petani dan pedagang yang terlibat dalam proses pemasaran ubi jalar yang dilakukan secara teknik snowball sampling sebanyak 20 orang, sedangkan sampel untuk nilai tambah sebanyak 10 orang yang mengelolah bakwan dan pastel sebagai usaha rumah tangga yang dipilih secara sengaja. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Saluran pemasaran terdiri dari empat yaitu saluran I: petani-pemilik usaha rumah tangga, Saluran II: Petani Pedagang pengumpul-pemilik usaha rumah tangga, Saluran III: petani-pedagang pengumpul-pedagang pengecer-konsumen, dan Saluran IV: petani-pedagang pengumpul-pedagang besar-pedagang pengecer-konsumen. (2) Margin pemasaran terbesar pada saluran keempat, (3) Efisiensi pemasaran tergolong dalam kategori efisien pada setiap saluran,namun yang paling efisien adalah saluran pemasaran I, (4) Farmer share yang diperoleh terbesar diterima pada saluran pemasaran I yaitu 100%, (5). Nilai tambah yang diperoleh pada pengolahan ubi jalar menjadi bakwan sebesar Rp. 53,483, sedangkan menjadi pastel memberikan nilai tambah Rp. 75.890.

Abstract

This study is to analyze the potential of the area for developing dairy cattle in Enrekang Regency using a descriptive method. Primary data was obtained from direct interviews with dairy farmers and secondary data collected was periodic data over five years, from 2017 to 2021, sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Enrekang Regency. The data analysis used is qualitative analysis and location quotient (LQ). The results show that the areas that become the economic base in the development of the dairy cattle business are Cendana District and Anggeraja District. The obstacles experienced by dairy farmers so far are the availability of cattle breeds, the availability of feed, health services, marketing, and human resources. The dairy farming business in Enrekang Regency can be maximized to be able to be competitive.

Abstract

Sang Hyang Seri collaborates with breeder farmers to produce seeds through a partnership program. Partnership evaluation can be done to see how far the implementation of the partnership between PT. Sang Hyang Seri with partner farmers has been running so that the problems encountered during the implementation of the partnership can be identified. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of partnerships between farmers and farmers PT. Sang Hyang Seri, analyze the level of satisfaction of farmers with the partnership program with PT. Sang Hyang Seri, analyze the income level of farmers who are in partnership with PT. Sang Hyang Seri. The results of this study are several of the benefits derived from the farmer partnership with PT. Sang Hyang Seri is through a partnership program, farmers will get assistance with production facilities, market guarantees, the company's purchase price is higher than the prevailing market price, increased farmer skills, better production quality, and increased farmer income. The level of farmer satisfaction with the partnership program with PT. Sang Hyang Seri is with a Customer Satisfaction Index value of 81.12 which is in the range of 0.81-1.00 which indicates that the consumer satisfaction index is on the "very satisfied" criteria, which means that farmers are very satisfied with the partnership program that they have run together. PT. Sang Hyang Seri. The amount of income obtained by farmers is Rp 13,817,592/people. For the partnership program to continue, the company should improve the procedure for paying harvests to farmers, so that there are no more delays in payments. Both parties should better understand the contents of the cooperation agreement contract so that there will be no more problems in the future.

Abstract

Climate change is a natural phenomenon that poses a risk of vulnerability in the sustainability of seaweed cultivation because it can reduce production and income. Therefore, a sustainability strategy is needed, as well as the role of social capital, which is the most important element in carrying out cultivation because it is a means to build communication and cooperation in overcoming obstacles from climate change. Social capital is an element that supports internal and external factors. The study's objectives are: (1). The role of social capital in the sustainability of seaweed cultivation (2)—the existence of a sustainability strategy in dealing with climate change. Therefore, the study was conducted by taking the location of the seaweed center in South Sulawesi in Laikang Village, Manggarabombang District, Takalar Regency, by taking 20 informants from the seaweed farming community, extension workers, village government, and the Fisheries and Marine Service. It was done by conducting observation actions and in-depth interviews with the FGD (forum discussion group) mechanism and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and qualitatively using a Likert scale. The sustainability strategy was compiled with a SWOT analysis by including internal and external factors in the seaweed business involving the farming community and supporting institutions. The study results showed that social capital was built to improve communication and strengthen networks (bonding and bridging). It was based on the norm of getting out of the shocks that arise in seaweed cultivation due to climate change. The strategy that can be applied from the SWOT analysis, namely the existence of partnerships that must be built so that seaweed businesses can be sustainable in facing shocks from climate change by involving local governments, educational research institutions, the Department of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, seaweed farmers, with strengthening financial institutions and markets.
