Abstract

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has hit all countries including Indonesia. Indonesia was hit by a pandemic starting in early March 2020. With this pandemic, Indonesia is required to be prepared for the potential spread of this virus. This is due to the geographical location of Indonesia which is directly adjacent to several countries affected by the spread of the Covid-19 virus as well as the development of globalization and increasingly smooth traffic between countries. One way to reduce the rate of spread of this virus is by implementing Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) so that all activities in schools and offices are carried out in a work from home (WFH) manner. Learning activities cannot be carried out directly so that learning in this period utilizes existing technology so that students still understand the material. As one solution to improving the quality of learning, the program activities make a product in the form of a learning video that is very interesting and fun so that students don't feel bored when participating in distance learning

Abstract

Covalent bonding is an abstract and unobservable therefore it is necessary to develop interactive multimedia which present visualization in three dimension (3D) as an aid to represent unobservable matter. This study focuses on investigating the effectiveness of interactive multimedia by stimulating visual spatial intelligence on the covalent bond that has been developed. This study is according to the Research and Development model based on Sugiyono’s model including finding potential & problem, collecting data, product design, product validation, product revision and limited to product trials (Stage 6). The effectiveness of interactive multimedia is examined from the improvement of student learning outcomes after using interactive multimedia.  N-gain results shows that interactive multimedia was effective to enhance learning outcomes. The results showed that 81.2% of students in high category and 18.2% in the medium category. This study shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after using interactive multimedia by stimulating visual-spatial intelligence

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of the interactive e-module from its validity, effectiveness, and practicality as a learning media for high school students to train visual-spatial intelligence on intermolecular forces materials. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. There are five (5) stages at the ADDIE model, namely: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The instruments used in the interactive e-module validation process were content and construct validation sheets, pretest and posttest sheets for effectiveness, and student response questionnaires for its practicality. This researchs’ data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the interactive e-module validation obtained a percentage of 90.0% for content validation and a percentage of 90.5% for construct validation, both of which belonged to the very valid category. The effectiveness of the interactive e-module also met the classical completeness criteria, which is 80.0% in the intermolecular force material and 85.0% in the visual-spatial. The T-test results also showed a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest indicated by the sig. 2-tailed value of 0.00 < 0.05 both in terms of intermolecular forces and visual-spatial. In addition, interactive e-modules were also said to be practical to use based on student responses which showed a score of 100% on the content aspect, 99.2% on the linguistic aspect, 97.1% on the usability aspect, and 100% on the presentation aspect. All of them were in the “Very good” category. From these results, it can be concluded that the interactive e-module to train students' visual-spatial intelligence on the material of intermolecular forces is feasible to use in terms of validity, effectiveness, and practicality.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology requires innovation in learning. One of the innovations is blended learning. The concept of blended learning is mixing of face-to-face learning model in the classroom with online learning. The blended learning will strengthen the conventional learning model conducted in the classroom through the development of education technology. Blended learning can be combined with constructivist and cooperative learning using POGIL strategy. POGIL contextual- based blended learning is suitable for chemical bonding subject because it has abstract characteristics involves atoms and electrons which are macroscopic, microscopic, and symbolic particles. The aim of this research is to create the effective student worksheet blended learning-based viewed from students pretest and posttest results. The development of model in student worksheet uses 4D models (four D models) from Thiagarajan which consists of 4 development stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Focus of this study was limited to the stage of develop. The data were collected using a test sheet in the form of pretest and posttest through a limited trial. The results of this research indicate that the usage of blended learning-based student worksheet is effective viewed from N-gain which was obtained as much as 86.67% of students achieving moderate criteria, 6.67% of students achieving high criteria, and 6.67% students reach low criteria.
