Abstract

Students’ critical thinking (CT) in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving (PS) skills has not developed. In fact, these skills determine achievement in society 5.0. Therefore, learning models and media are needed to develop both. This study investigated the interaction of variables in problem-based learning (PBL) combined with play mathematics with technology (PhET) simulations for CT and PS skills. This study used quasi-experimental research design using questionnaires and test of CT and PS involving 126 students of grade V of Islamic primary school (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI)) and grade IX of Islamic junior high school (Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs)). Factorial analysis of the data used SmartPLS. Based on cross loading value, the MI level shows positive interactions on variable: “happy”, “easy to use”, and “as new thing” of PS skills (the explore and plan (EP), select a strategy (SaS), and find an answer (FaA) indicators) and CT skills (the recognition of assumption (RoA) indicator). At the MTs level shows positive interaction on PS skills (the read and think (RT) indicator) and CT skills (the inference (In) and interpretation (Int) indicators) on the “easy to use the PhET simulation” variable. Our findings highlight that combined PBL and PhET simulation has a significant relationship to develop students’ CT and PS skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop website-based learning media with a STEM approach on simple aircraft material to improve junior high school students' creative thinking skills. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Instruments include validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and creative thinking tests. The validation results showed a score of 89% by material experts and 96% by media experts with a very valid category. Practicality by teachers was 80% with a practical category and students were 89% with a very practical category. The t-test showed a result of -22.681 (t <α, α = 0.05), and an n-gain of 0.6437 (moderate category). These results indicate that website-based media with a STEM approach is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public sentiment regarding reviews of the Grab application on the Google Play Store using the Multinomial Naive Bayes algorithm. The research process follows the KDD stages, starting from data selection, pre-processing, sentiment labeling, dataset splitting, model training, to performance evaluation. A total of 5,000 review data were collected through web scraping techniques and processed step by step using cleaning, normalization, tokenizing, stopword removal, and stemming methods. The developed Multinomial Naive Bayes model was able to classify review sentiments into positive, negative, and neutral categories with an accuracy of 69.6%. Precision and recall for negative and positive sentiments are relatively high, but the performance for neutral sentiment remains low due to imbalanced data distribution. The results of this study provide valuable insights for Grab developers to understand user perceptions and can serve as a basis for strategic decision-making to improve application service quality. Thus, Multinomial Naive Bayes has proven to be effective and efficient for sentiment analysis of Grab app reviews on the Google Play Store.Keywords: Sentiment Analysis, Multinomial Naive Bayes, Grab, Google Play Store, KDD

Abstract

The digital transformation in the financial sector demands a transaction system that is not only fast and efficient but also secure and transparent. This study explores the application of blockchain technology as a solution to the problems found in centralized online financial transaction systems that are vulnerable to manipulation. The objective of this research is to design a blockchain-based financial transaction security system architecture that can be evaluated through a conceptual simulation approach. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with tools such as Ganache, MetaMask, and Remix IDE to simulate smart contract-based transactions within a local blockchain environment. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of a security system modeling approach with realistic scenario-based simulations, which is rarely discussed in previous studies. The research contributes by producing a modular system architecture that integrates key components—users, smart contracts, validators, and regulators—into a cohesive workflow applicable to various digital financial platforms. Simulation results show that the proposed system enhances security, accelerates transaction validation, strengthens auditability, and reduces operational costs compared to conventional transaction systems. This study provides a strong foundation for the broader development of blockchain-based financial systems that are more resistant to external attacks.Keywords: System Architecture, Blockchain, Transaction Security, Smart Contract, Simulation

Abstract

The acceleration of inclusive education requires learning models and evaluation systems that are fair, adaptive, and responsive to students’ diverse needs, particularly children with special needs in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Although Quantum Learning (QL) is widely recognized as a multisensory, learner-centered instructional model, existing studies have primarily focused on learning effectiveness while paying limited attention to adaptive, individualized evaluation in inclusive settings. This study aims to examine the characteristics of Quantum Learning in inclusive MI classrooms and to formulate an adaptive evaluation framework aligned with inclusive education principles and 21st-century learning demands. Using a literature review design with a conceptual content analysis approach, this study synthesizes reference books and reputable journal articles indexed in Scopus and SINTA, focusing on Quantum Learning, IEP-based inclusive assessment, differentiated assessment, and the Deep Learning paradigm. The findings reveal that while QL demonstrates strong pedagogical relevance for inclusive classrooms, it lacks a structured adaptive evaluation framework. Accordingly, this study proposes a Quantum Learning Adaptive Evaluation Framework that integrates QL pedagogy, inclusive assessment principles, and Deep Learning–based evaluation, emphasizing deep understanding and concept transfer. This framework highlights the importance of embedding evaluation within instructional design to enhance the quality of inclusive learning in MI.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Love Curriculum Approach Teaching Module and the level of student activity on the mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a sample of 32 students. The results of the study show that. Data analysis was carried out using Two-Way ANOVA, which showed that the use of the Love Curriculum Mathematics Teaching Module had a significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes (p < 0.001) and that the level of student activity had a significant effect (p < 0.001). The interaction between the two variables was also significant (p < 0.001), confirming that the module is more effective when used by students with high activity levels. The results of the Tukey HSD follow-up test showed that all group comparisons were significantly different, including the difference in values ​​between the Love Curriculum group having low activity and without the Module having low activity of 10,929 (p < 0.001), as well as the difference between the Love Curriculum group having high activity and without the Module having high activity of 11,833 (p < 0.001). Overall, this study proves that the combination of the Love Curriculum module and student activity contributes significantly to improving mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Many elementary students still struggle to connect mathematical concepts to real-life contexts, particularly in geometry, due to traditional teaching practices that rely on rote memorization rather than conceptual understanding. This study addresses these issues by developing project-based learning materials enriched with ethnomathematical content drawn from East Javanese culture to enhance fourth-grade students’ understanding of plane geometry. The research utilized the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) within a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 26 fourth-grade students from MI Unggulan Roudlotul Ulum, Sidoarjo. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Results indicated that the developed materials aligned well with curriculum requirements and student learning needs, incorporating cultural elements such as traditional games and crafts into project activities. Feasibility evaluations from content experts (92%), design experts (94%), and practitioners (90%) confirmed that the materials were highly valid and practical. The paired-sample t-test (p < 0.05) demonstrated significant improvements in learning outcomes, while qualitative feedback showed strong engagement, increased confidence, and cultural appreciation. These findings suggest that integrating ethnomathematics into project-based instruction can strengthen contextual learning, foster cultural awareness, and improve conceptual understanding in elementary mathematics education. Salah satu permasalahan yang sering muncul di sekolah dasar adalah kesulitan siswa dalam memahami dan mengaitkan konsep geometri bangun datar dengan pengalaman sehari-hari. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang masih berfokus pada hafalan rumus dan latihan mekanis, bukan pada pemahaman konseptual yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis proyek (Project-Based Learning) yang dipadukan dengan muatan etnomatematika khas Jawa Timur untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV pada materi bangun datar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) dan desain one-group pretest–posttest yang melibatkan 26 siswa MI Unggulan Roudlotul Ulum Sidoarjo. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa serta capaian pembelajaran yang berlaku. Integrasi unsur budaya lokal seperti permainan tradisional engklek, pola batik, dan bentuk makanan khas daerah menjadikan pembelajaran lebih kontekstual dan menarik. Penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi, desain, dan praktisi menunjukkan kategori “sangat valid” sehingga bahan ajar layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Analisis uji-t berpasangan menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan secara statistik (p < 0,05). Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan minat, keterlibatan, dan apresiasi tinggi terhadap budaya lokal selama proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa integrasi etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk memperkuat pembelajaran kontekstual, meningkatkan hasil belajar, serta menumbuhkan kesadaran budaya dan karakter siswa sejak dini.
