Abstract

Dalam kehamilan anemia merupakan faktor penting yang terkait dengan peningkatan risiko kematian ibu anak. Asupan zat besi dan bioavailabilitas zat besi penting untuk pencegahan anemia defisiensi besi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan asupan makanan dan bioavailabilitas zat besi ibu hamil anemia dan non-anemia di Puskesmas Makasar. Studi cross sectional dilakukan pada 185 wanita hamil dari Mei -September 2019 di Puskesmas Kecamatan Makasar, Jakarta. Asupan makan diukur dengan menggunakan 24 hours food recall dan Semi Quantitative Food Frequency. Lingkar lengan atas diukur dengan metline. Kadar hemoglobin diukur dengan metode cyanmethameglobin. Data dianalisis dengan uji beda dengan nilai p<0,05 dianggap signifikan secara statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan prevalensi anemia sebesar 23,8%. Wanita hamil yang anemia cenderung mempunyai riwayat keguguran dan malnutrisi (p<0,05). Kepatuhan terhadap suplementasi zat besi tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan status anemia (p>0,05). Secara umum total energi dan asupan protein ibu hamil kurang dari 70% EAR. Asupan makanan pada kelompok anemia lebih tinggi daripada kelompok non-anemia. Tidak ada perbedaan dalam zat besi heme dan non-heme pada anemia dan non-anemia, tetapi kelompok anemia cenderung memiliki asupan zat besi non-heme yang lebih tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini tidak adak perbedaan asupan zat besi pada ibu hamil anemia dan non-anemia.

Abstract

Anemia is caused by a deficiency of micronutrients, also known as hidden hunger. Adolescents have a risk of anemia, especially from the frequency of eating, choosing the type of food and the occurrence of puberty. Lack of intake and wrong food choices related to the prevention of anemia in adolescents can be caused by the low knowledge of students regarding this matter. Lack of knowledge about anemia causes the need for iron in the body of adolescents is less and not fulfilled so that anemia can occur in adolescents. Adolescent girls are one of the age groups that are prone to iron deficiency, where their nutritional needs increase because they are still in their infancy. No exception for students in the scope of the boarding school. Boarding schools will provide meals to meet the needs of students and teachers. The provision of dormitory food is generally limited due to financial problems, so there is a possibility that it will not be able to meet the nutritional needs of students. This service aims to increase the knowledge of female students about anemia. The method used is conducting nutrition education, measuring hemoglobin levels, and conducting evaluation analysis to increase the knowledge of female students. This service activity was carried out at the Pesantren Mosque which was attended by 40 female students. The service begins with games to increase enthusiasm and then a pre-test is given. Then the material is given with 3 topics, question and answer, and closed with a post-test and evaluation of activities. The response of the female students was very enthusiastic by asking interesting questions about nutrition and health. The conclusion of the pre-test and post-test results is that there is a significant difference between the level of knowledge before and after nutrition education

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Personal hygiene merupakan suatu tindakan pencegahan penyakit terhadap seseorang dengan lingkungan tempat tinggal. Penjamah makanan kaki lima merupakan suatu upaya individual yang berjualan makanan ditempat keramaian seperti ditepi jalan, di rumah sakit, disekolah dan lain sebagainya. Masalah kesehatan yang erat bagi tubuh yaitu masalah kebersihan dan sanitasi pada makanan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku sangat berperan dalam sanitasi pada makanan sehingga dapat menghindari pencemaran yang terjadi pada makanan.Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap hygiene sanitasi terhadap perilaku personal hygiene pada penjamah makanan kaki lima di Wilayah Kecamatan Tapos Kota Depok. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional pada penjamah makanan kaki lima di wilayah Kecamatan Tapos pada bulan Mei-Juni 2022. Kriteria inklusi, Subjek berumur 20-60 tahun, bersedia menjadi subjek dalam kondisi sehat, subjek merupakan penjamah makanan kaki lima makanan tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pertanyaan pengetahuan dan sikap hygiene sanitasi, serta pengamatan pada perilaku personal hygiene. Analisis data menggunakan analisa univariat dan bivariate dengan uji chi square dan p-value <0,05 dengan bantuan program aplikasi statistic dalam pengolahannya.Hasil: Hasil analisis statistik menyatakan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan hygiene sanitasi terhadap perilaku personal hygiene (p<0,001), ada hubungan antara sikap hygiene sanitasi terhadap perilaku personal hygiene (p=0,048).Simpulan: Ada hubungan antara pengetahuan higiene sanitasi terhadap perilaku personal hygiene dan ada hubungan antara sikap hygiene sanitasi terhadap perilaku personal hygiene.Kata kunci: Hygiene Sanitasi; Pengetahuan; Perilaku; Personal Hygiene; Sikap

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Di Indonesia, Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan penyebab kematian terbesar. Puskesmas Kecamatan Cisauk merupakan salah satu puskesmas dengan  jumlah pasien DM yang cukup tinggi. Kadar gula darah yang meningkat dan tidak terkontrol dapat memicu komplikasi, bahkan kematian. Untuk mencegah kadar gula darah yang tidak terkontrol antara lain dapat dilakukan dengan pengontrolan kepatuhan diet, dukungan keluarga, dan motivasi diri. Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan antara kepatuhan diet DM, dukungan keluarga, dan motivasi diri dengan kadar gula darah pasien DM di Puskesmas Cisauk Tangerang. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional yang dilakukan pada bulan Mei–Juni 2022. Kriteria inklusi subjek adalah pasien DM yang tinggal serumah dengan keluarga, berumur ≥18 tahun, bersedia menjadi subjek dan mampu baca tulis dengan total subjek 115 orang. Kadar gula darah sewaktu diukur dengan glucometer. Pengukuran kepatuhan diet, dukungan keluarga serta motivasi diri menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan Chi-Square dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil: Kadar gula darah tinggi ditemukan sebesar 50,4%. Tingkat kepatuhan diet dengan kategori patuh (37,4%) dan tidak patuh (62,6%). Dukungan keluarga dengan kategori kurang (35,7%), cukup (33,9%), dan baik (30,4%). Motivasi diri dengan kategori kurang (55,7%) dan baik (44,3%). Hasil pengujian statistik menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kepatuhan diet DM (p=0,028) dan motivasi diri (p=0,012) dengan kadar gula darah, tetapi tidak ada hubungan antara dukungan keluarga (p=0,777) dengan kadar gula darah pasien di area Puskesmas Cisauk. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan antara kepatuhan diet serta motivasi diri dengan kadar gula darah pasien Diabetes Mellitus di Puskesmas Cisauk.

Abstract

The prevalence of patients on hemodialysis at Hermina Bekasi Hospital increases from year to year. The risk of malnutrition in chronic kidney failure patients on hemodialysis is very high. Several causal factors include nutritional knowledge and intake. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional knowledge, energy and protein intake with the nutritional status of outpatient chronic kidney failure patients on hemodialysis at Hermina Bekasi Hospital. The design of this study was cross sectional, which was carried out at Hermina Bekasi Hospital on 90 subjects in May-June 2018. The research subjects were patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis who had undergone hemodialysis for at least one-month, routine HD twice per week, without NGT, can communicate well. Nutritional status was measured using the SGA form, nutritional knowledge using a structured questionnaire and intake was measured using a 3x24 hour food record. Statistical analysis with Chi-square with α 5%. 43% of subjects had poor or poor nutritional status, most of them had good knowledge (55.6%), and had a good intake (energy 52.2% and protein 78.9%). There is a significant relationship between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status (p 0.038; OR 2.447), and a relationship between energy intake and nutritional status (p = 0.000; OR 15.951), as well as protein intake and nutritional status (p = 0.005; OR 5.032). In chronic kidney patients on hemodialysis, knowledge and macronutrient intake are closely related to nutritional status.

Abstract

Background: Anemia during pregnancy significantly increases maternal risk and poor pregnancy outcomes by 1.71-fold. Enhancing pregnant women's knowledge and adherence to health guidelines requires a comprehensive approach. Objectives: This study analyzed the effects of booklet education and cadre assistance on adherence to iron tablet consumption among anemic pregnant women in East Jakarta. Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted in 2019 on anemic pregnant women in Makasar Public Health Center, Jakarta. This study comprised three groups: iron-folic acid supplementation only (IF), iron-folic acid supplementation with booklet education (IFB), and iron-folic acid supplementation with booklet education and cadre assistance (IFBA), serving as control, intervention I, and intervention II, respectively. The interventions lasted for three months. Adherence to iron supplementation and knowledge, attitude, and behavior (KAB) regarding anemia were measured. The data were analyzed using ANOVA/Kruskall-Wallis test, Wilcoxon test, and Mc-Nemar test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: There was no difference in the increase of knowledge and behavior regarding anemia among the three groups (p < 0.05) although the behavior score in the IFBA group was significantly higher than in the other two groups. In addition, there was no difference in the percentage of adherence to iron tablet consumption before and after the intervention in the IF, IFB, and IFBA groups (p > 0.05). However, the IFBA group showed an increase of about 41% in adherence. Conclusions: There was no difference in the increase of knowledge and attitude regarding anemia among the three groups, except for behavior. However, the IFBA group showed a significant increase in knowledge, attitude, and behavior after the intervention.

Abstract

Anemia is well known as micronutrient deficiency, called hidden hunger. West Java has a high prevalence of anemia. The nutrition education program about anemia has been conducted, but the increment was not satisfactory. 10 of 15 female students in Bojong Gede State Vocational School showed a symptom of anemia. Our activity aims to evaluate the effect of a nutrition education program on anemia and reproduction health’ knowledge. This community program was conducted online using power point, video, and games media on 30 students of Bojong Gede State Vocational School, Bogor. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the activity was analyzed using pre and post-tests regarding the knowledge of young women regarding anemia. Statistical analysis used is the Mann-Whitney test. Students' knowledge scores about anemia on the first day increased from 63.21±15.17 to 71.43±13.08 (p = 0.001), and on the second day from 57.14 ± 13.26 to 82.86±17.29 (p = 0.000). More specific topics about healthy food are more attractive to teenagers than more general and contextual topics. Therefore, the practical and applicable knowledge is considered suitable for increasing students' knowledge, especially if it is simultaneously conducted

Abstract

Stunting is a failure to thrive due to chronic malnutrition in the first 1000 days of life (HPK). Stunting in the West Java region, one of which is in Cianjur Regency, out of 32 sub-districts, ten villages have become Stunting Locuses, including Majalaya Village. Factors that cause stunting include parenting, the mother's nutritional status, the child's diet, sanitation, and infectious diseases. To prevent stunting, prevention is carried out on the health of pregnant women. Pregnant women are in the early stages of 1000 HPK, so they need to get early attention. The activity aims to increase the nutritional knowledge of pregnant women to prevent stunting in toddlers. This community service (PkM) targets pregnant women in the Langkob Village area, Majalaya. Activities include counseling and giving leaflets related to nutrition fulfillment in pregnant women. Pre and Posttest were conducted to evaluate the output of this community service. The results showed increased knowledge of pregnant women (p=0.003), so it can be concluded that the PkM activity was successful.

Abstract

Background: Hyperuricemia is still a problem in the elderly in Yogyakarta, ranking 23rd out of 34 provinces. The causes are high purine foods, obesity, alcohol, physical activity, gender, and genetics. So it is necessary to conduct research on purine intake and waist circumference with uric acid levels in the elderly and elderly. Objectives: To analyze the relationship between waist circumference and purine intake with uric acid levels in the elderly and the elderly in the working area of Puskesmas Gamping II. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design on 103 pre-elderly and elderly people in Gamping, Yogyakarta. The data taken were primary data in the form of respondent identity, high purine food data, waist circumference data and uric acid level data. The instruments used were SQ-FFQ questionnaire, metline tape, and Auto Check tool, Data were analyzed using chi-square with α 5%. Results:  Results of univariate analysis of waist circumference at risk 71.8%, high purine intake 41.7%, and high uric acid levels 43.7%. There is no relationship between waist circumference waist circumference with uric acid levels p = 0.461 and there is a relationship between purine intake and uric acid levels p = 0.036. with uric acid levels p = 0.036. Conclusion: There is a relationship between purine intake and uric acid levels. Need education about high purine foods.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents are vulnerable to nutritional issues such as undernutrition and overnutrition, which can affect their physical and cognitive development. Balanced nutrition is essential, particularly for children in orphanages, who often face challenges in accessing nutritious food and health education. Objective: This community service aimed to improve knowledge and awareness about "Isi Piringku" and the importance of consuming animal protein among school-aged children at the Gotong Royong Orphanage, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Method: The program involved 22 children aged 6–15 years and their caregivers. Activities included pre-surveys, nutritional status assessments, interactive education sessions combining lectures, videos, games, and a hands-on demonstration of making Sea-Dimsum enriched with animal protein. Pre- and post-tests measured knowledge levels before and after the intervention. Results: The educational intervention significantly improved knowledge, with good knowledge scores rising from 57% pre-test to 87% post-test. The Sea-Dimsum demonstration engaged participants, fostering a practical understanding of balanced nutrition. Challenges included varying comprehension levels due to age differences, affecting knowledge retention among younger participants. Conclusion: The program effectively increased nutritional knowledge by 30%, emphasizing the importance of balanced diets and animal protein. Future initiatives could include diverse nutritional topics, such as interpreting food labels and selecting healthy snacks, to further enhance nutrition literacy and health outcomes.
