Abstract

Abstract The structure and function of plants need to be visualized in an exciting way, including through posters. Thepurpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of the use of poster media in learning the structureand function of class VIII plants. The population includes students of class VIII SMPN 15 Yogyakarta with oneclass as a sample. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The research method used isdescriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The questionnaire is on a Likertscale with four answer options: strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. The research results thathave been done show that the student's perception of the poster media is good. Students consider that the use ofposter media makes learning fun and efficient, following students' needs, triggers the spirit of learning, andincreases understanding and attractive presentation. Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic has led to a change in learning from face-to-face to online learning; learning media has an essential role in the online learning process in understanding students to the material studied. This research aims to determine the types and characteristics of high school biological learning media during the covid-19 pandemic. This study is a Systematic Literature Review using Google Scholar and Dimensions databases. Articles that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria as research data several 29 scientific articles, including international journals, accredited national journals, and not accredited national journals, thesis, and proceedings. The results of this study indicate that there are various types of high school biology learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely visual-based learning media, audio-visual-based learning media, and computer-based learning media. Most often used during the covid-19 pandemic were hypertext media (such as google classroom) and how to use high school biology learning media during the covid-19 pandemic, which were found to be online/offline and installed/not installed. The material biology learning most widely researched is virus and the scope of biology. This study implication shows various learning media biology in senior high school during pandemic covid-19, so other researchers can develop or use other learning media on teaching and learning biology in senior high school.

Abstract

The Final The quality of the question item is important to know to produce more accurate measurements. Final Semester Assessment questions have not been analyzed, and many students still have not passed the Minimum Criterion of Mastery Learning (MCML). This research aims to determine the quality of the question items in the Final Semester Assessment of State High School in the Gondokusuman District. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population and sample in this study were the answer sheets of all students of class X MIPA at 6th and 9th State Senior High School Yogyakarta in the 2020/2021 school year, which amounted to 462 sheets. Sampling techniques used saturated samples. The data collection procedures were observation and documentation; The analysis was quantitative descriptive. Research results showed the results as 1) there is a difference in the level of question validity of the two schools; 2) The reliability of the questions whether by 6th and 9th State Senior High School Yogyakarta had excellent value; 3) The difficulty level of questions at SMA N 6 Yogyakarta is higher than SMA N 9 Yogyakarta; 4) Differentiating level of the questions by 6th State Senior High School Yogyakarta was seven groups of questions and the questions by 9th State Senior High School Yogyakarta was 11 groups of questions; 5) The effectiveness of distracting questions at 6th and 9th State Senior High School Yogyakarta is not practical; 6) The suitability of the questions with the material and construction aspects of the questions at SMA N 9 Yogyakarta is better than SMA N 6 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Background: Distance learning requires learning media to help students understand the material. Digital booklets are an alternative to teaching biodiversity through visualization. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of digital booklets for class X biodiversity materials. Methods: This Research and Development use the ADDIE model. The product is validated by expert validators, material experts, and teachers. Product trials on students were divided into two groups, namely small groups (10 students) and large groups (30 students). Results:  The results of the product assessment meet the very feasible category with scores of 91.67% (media experts), 61.25% (material experts), and 81.25% (teachers). The small group test on students obtained a percentage of 96%, and the big group test with a percentage of 95.33%. Conclusions: The digital booklet learning media product is suitable for class X biodiversity learning.

Abstract

The Laboratory is a room or places equipped with tools and materials suitable for teaching science or implementing science practicum. Laboratory management in terms of organizational structure, activities, and facilities needs to be evaluated to increase awareness of the effectiveness of science learning and increase laboratory safety to the optimum level. This paper aims to determine 1) Standard Operating Procedures and 2) Obstacles in school SOP management. The research method used was descriptive exploratory. The data were collected by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out in descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the Biology Laboratory preparation at three Bantul Regency schools already had a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). However, some schools have not fulfilled the SOP properly. Of the three schools observed in school C, there is no SOP for storing tools and practicum materials. School B SOP that has not been posted in the open, SOP for occupational health and safety, SOP for procurement of tools or practicum materials, and SOP for purchasing chemicals. School A does not have SOP posted in the open, SOP for storing tools or practicum materials, and procurement of tools or materials.
