Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh metode latihan drill fast bowling terhadap keterampilan bowler mahasiswa UKM cricket Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 9 bowler mahasiswa UKM Cricket Universitas Jambi. Penelitian dilakukan selama 16 kali pertemuan dengan frekuensi latihan 4 kali seminggu selama 4 minggu. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan metode latihan drill fast bowling terhadap keterampilan bowler mahasiswa UKM Cricket Universitas Jambi. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata (Mean Difference) tes awal sebesar 4,00 dan rata-rata tes akhir sebesar 10,67. Hasil ini diperkuat oleh uji t, yang menunjukkan bahwa t hitung (4,637) lebih besar dari t tabel (1,859), sehingga hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. Dengan demikian, metode latihan drill fast bowling terbukti efektif meningkatkan keterampilan bowler mahasiswa UKM Cricket Universitas Jambi.

Abstract

Research Problems: Challenges such as limited facilities and the small number of active players are obstacles faced by the community in popularising this sport. Research Objectives: to identify the strategies that have been used by the pickleball community in Jambi in developing and promoting this sport. Methods: Using qualitative descriptive methods with a case study approach. The data results are arranged in the form of transcripts, then imported into NVivo 12 software for further analysis. Results: The pickleball community in Jambi is developing the sport through a social and digital approach, with strategies for recruiting members, regular training, tournaments, and promotions via social media, as well as collaboration with other sports communities. Despite limited facilities and support, the community continues to strive to expand its reach and participation. Conclusion: This study revealed that the pickleball community in Jambi developed the sport through regular practice, social media, and tournaments. Despite facing obstacles in facilities and support, the community remained active in introducing the sport. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of community and digital strategies in expanding the reach of a new sport and open up opportunities for further study on strategy, socio-economic impacts, and stakeholder roles.

Abstract

This study examines how the residents of Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency perceives motorcycle racing events at the Zabak National Circuit in Jambi Province, Indonesia. Applying the Social Exchange Theory framework, the research used quantitative data from a survey questionnaire. This method approach explores public opinions on motorsport events, identifying factors that shape these perceptions. The study anticipates a mixed public response, acknowledging both the perceived economic and social benefits alongside concerns about noise, safety, and environmental consequences. Factors such as economic opportunities, community pride, noise pollution, traffic congestion, and environmental degradation are expected to significantly influence public perception. Positive perceptions are likely linked to higher event participation, while negative perceptions may lead to reduced involvement and community resistance. By analyzing the complex interplay of perceived benefits and costs associated with motorcycle racing events, this study provides valuable recommendations for event organizers and local authorities. These recommendations emphasize maximizing economic and social benefits while minimizing negative impacts through effective noise control, traffic management, safety protocols, and enhanced environmental sustainability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan tradisional berbasis Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) terhadap kebugaran jasmani siswi kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswi yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil tes awal yang didominasi kategori kurang dan kurang sekali. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 siswi yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Perlakuan diberikan selama enam minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali pertemuan setiap minggu menggunakan permainan tradisional berupa bakiak, lompat tali, dan egrang batok. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia (TKJI) untuk kelompok usia 13–15 tahun. Data dianalisis melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kebugaran jasmani siswi setelah diberikan perlakuan, ditandai dengan pergeseran kategori kebugaran jasmani dari kategori rendah pada tes awal menjadi kategori baik dan sangat baik pada tes akhir. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan tradisional berbasis P5 berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kebugaran jasmani siswi kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi dan dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani yang efektif dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Problem: Athletes sometimes have trouble performing the final position of the Clean, this error generally occurs when standing to complete the Clean. This happens due to the lack of strength of the main muscles involved in the Clean technique, observed directly when athletes perform the Clean Exercise program, among which there are those who do not succeed in doing the final position of Clean, that is, standing perfectly with the barbell position still on the shoulder. Therefore, to overcome these problems, supportive exercises are carried out to strengthen the main muscles involved in the clean technique, namely the Front Squat. Objective: To prove that the Front Squat exercise has an effect on the improvement of the main muscles that play a role in Clean. Methods: This research method is a Quantitative Experimental research with a Paired Sample T test research design. The instruments used are Pre-test and Post-test. Using the Jamovi statistical test. Results: The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant increase in score from pre-test to post-test, t(11) = -10.70, p < 0.001. The mean score difference was -3.08 (SE = 0.288) with a 95% confidence interval between -3.72 to -2.45. A measure of the Cohen effect d of −3.10 suggests that the intervention has a very large effect. Conclusion: Based on the results of a study that has been conducted for four weeks by providing Front Squat gymnastics twice every week, it can be concluded that Front Squat exercises have a significant influence on the improvement of Clean ability in Jambi City Junior Weightlifters in Jambi City. The results of the t-test analysis of paired samples showed a significant increase between pre-test and post-test values, t(11) = -10.70, p < 0.001, with an average score difference of −3.08. The enormous effect size (Cohen's d = −3.10) confirms that the Front Squat has a strong impact on improving the strength and performance of the Clean technique

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based Physical Education, Sports, andHealth (PJOK) question bank application for sixth-grade elementary schoolstudents, determine the feasibility of the product based on expert validation, andanalyze its effectiveness in supporting the learning evaluation process. The studyused a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE developmentmodel, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development,implementation, and evaluation. The product developed is an Android-basedapplication containing PJOK learning materials, a collection of practice questions,interactive quizzes, and automatic score displays to assist students in practicingindependently. The feasibility of the product was assessed through validation bymaterial experts and media experts. The results showed that the material validationobtained a score of 85% with a “very good” category, while the media validationobtained a score of 90% with a “very good” category. Furthermore, the effectivenesstest related to media display, content, and learning process showed an overall scoreof 90% categorized as “very good”. These results indicate that the Android-basedPJOK question bank application is feasible and effective to be used as a learningevaluation medium that can support teachers in managing assessment instrumentsand help students practice questions more interactively, flexibly, and independently. Abstract

The instrument of creative thinking skills in the game of football is an assessment instrument in football sports courses. This instrument is used to measure students' creative thinking skills. This research aims to: (a) produce a feasible and qualified instrument to be used in the assessment of the level of creative thinking with the Rasch model approach in the Football course, and (b) find out the characteristics of the assessment instrument of the level of creative thinking with the Rasch model approach in the Football course. In this study, a modified development model based on the Wilson, Orindo, and Antonio model was used. This model has the following stages: a) compiling the initial design of the product; b) prepare research instruments for the initial design of the product; c) product validation and trial; and d) application in testing the products produced. This study uses a modified development model from Wilson, Orindo, and Antonio, which consists of three stages: (1) designing the test, (2) conducting test trials, and (3) conducting test measurements. The population in this study is 155 students who take football courses with total sampling techniques. The test instrument product is assessed by experts through a content validation sheet, where there are 2 experts, namely measurement experts (test construction experts) and sports education experts (material experts).  The results of the analysis in this study show that the test instrument is feasible and qualified to be used in measurement. The conclusions in this study are a) The test instrument has been proven to be valid by experts; b) The test instrument is in the high category based on the function of information.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimotivasi oleh rendahnya tingkat kerja sama dan disiplin di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar, yang menjadi tantangan bagi pencapaian tujuan pendidikan karakter holistik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan pelajaran voli berbasis karakter terhadap peningkatan kedua nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Satu Kelompok. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 35 siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri No. 53/IX Kenali Kecil, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Perlakuan terdiri dari pelajaran voli mini yang dimodifikasi dengan menerapkan prinsip Pembelajaran Kooperatif selama 16 pertemuan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner Teamwork Scale for Youth (TSY) dan kuesioner disiplin, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor kerja sama (perbedaan rata-rata = 10,45; p = 0,000) dan disiplin (perbedaan rata-rata = 8,55; p = 0,000) setelah intervensi Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pembelajaran bola voli yang terstruktur dan berorientasi pada karakter efektif sebagai sarana pedagogis untuk menanamkan nilai kerja sama melalui dinamika tim dan nilai disiplin melalui kepatuhan terhadap aturan permainan. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK) melalui olahraga tim seperti bola voli merupakan strategi yang relevan, kontekstual, dan berdampak signifikan untuk membentuk karakter siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a Canva-based instructional video model for teaching long jump in Physical Education (PJOK) at the junior high school level. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects were 32 eighth-grade students at SMPN 5 Tanjung Jabung Timur. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest learning outcomes. The validation results from media and material experts showed a validity score of 91.3% (very valid). The effectiveness test using paired sample t-test indicated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes (t = 9.87; p < 0.001). The average pretest score was 62.4, while the posttest score increased to 83.7. These findings demonstrate that Canva-based instructional videos are valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes in long jump material. The integration of digital media in physical education enhances student engagement, motivation, and conceptual understanding. Therefore, Canva-based video media can serve as an innovative alternative learning resource in PJOK instruction at the secondary school level.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed sports management systems, including competition organization and scoring mechanisms. However, karate tournaments in many regions of Indonesia are still conducted using manual systems, leading to inefficiencies, scoring inaccuracies, and limited transparency. This study aimed to develop an online-based karate competition application called Digimatch using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach involving needs analysis, expert validation, small-scale trials, and user response evaluation. The subjects consisted of 3 IT experts, 3 karate referees, and 30 users (committee members and coaches). Data were collected using validation sheets and user response questionnaires. Data analysis utilized descriptive percentage techniques to determine product feasibility and effectiveness. The results showed that the application achieved a feasibility score of 91.4% from IT experts (very valid), 88.7% from karate referees (very appropriate), and 89.6% from users (very practical). Implementation testing demonstrated improved efficiency in match administration (32% faster), reduced scoring errors, and real-time result transparency. The findings indicate that Digimatch is valid, practical, and effective in supporting karate competition management. It can be concluded that the Digimatch application provides an innovative solution to modernize karate tournaments, enhance transparency, and support sports digitalization in Indonesia.
