Abstract

The conventional learning model on math multiplication material that is commonly used by teachers in the classroom often does not meet the minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning outcomes in multiplication material in the commutative nature of mathematics. The research used a case study in class III at SDN Sidoklumpuk, Sidoarjo. This type of research design was a quasi experiment. The results of the prerequisite test show that there were differences between the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in multiplication material in the commutative nature. The difference in the N-Gain value of student learning outcomes in multiplication material was commutative in the experimental class using the Problem Based Learning learning model showing an N-Gain value of 0.58 and in the control class using conventional learning models showing an N-Gain value of 0. 36. The Problem Based Learning learning model is proven to have more influence on student learning outcomes than conventional learning models.

Abstract

Ethnopedagogy is simply culture-based learning, both used as a source of learning and as a learning medium. One culture that has high educational value is the Haul Mbah Supondriyo tradition, an annual commemoration event to honor local figures who are respected for their services in establishing Sepande Village. The purpose of this study is to explore more deeply how the Haul Mbah Supondriyo tradition can be integrated as a learning resource for elementary school students in accordance with the independent curriculum. The research method uses qualitative research with ethnographic methods. The data collection techniques used are participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. There are four informants who are the sources of this study including village government figures, cultural figures, community leaders who are their descendants, and youth figures. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the Haul Mbah Supondriyo tradition is a hereditary tradition of the residents of Sepande Village which has a meaning as a form of gratitude, gratitude to the founding figure, and praying to God Almighty so that Sepande Village is always safe, peaceful, and free from negative things. In addition, Haul Mbah Supondriyo contains materials related to cultural diversity contained in several contents such as Social Studies, Pancasila Education and Indonesian. The findings of the material are then integrated with learning that can be applied in elementary schools, especially phase C based on learning achievements and learning objectives. The material is developed in the form of digital and non-digital teaching materials.

Abstract

Learning media is an important component in the teaching and learning process. This media functions as a learning resource that contains learning material and is able to stimulate students’ interest and motivation to learn. So that learning media has a very important role in creating a meaningful learning process and supporting the achievement of educational goals. This study aims to develop and validate wallchart media as a mathematics learning aid in elementary school. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This media is designed to help students understand mathematics concepts in a more visual, interactive, and fun way. Based on the results of the trial research, it shows that the wallchart teaching media fulfils the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. Wallchart can be a learning media that supports students’ learning process optimally.

Abstract

Developing interactive Indonesian language books that suit the needs of grade IV elementary school students using the Research and Development (R&D) method. The results of the study produced an interactive book equipped with various interactive features. This interactive book has been validated by teachers and tested on grade IV students. The results of the trial showed that the interactive book developed was effective in increasing students' learning motivation towards the use of interactive books in learning Indonesian. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that most students had a positive perception of the use of interactive books.

Abstract

General Background: The rapid digitalization era has positioned coding as a crucial medium for developing foundational cognitive skills in early childhood. Specific Background: For 6-year-old learners, visual-based coding activities offer opportunities to strengthen logical reasoning and structured problem-solving, yet empirical descriptions of their critical thinking profile remain limited. Knowledge Gap: Existing studies rarely document how critical thinking indicators manifest during coding activities in early childhood settings. Aims: This study aims to analyze the critical thinking profile of 6-year-old children engaged in coding learning at TK Tunas Harapan. Results: Findings show that coding activities significantly enhance children’s analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, reflected in notable score improvements across learning cycles, although 40% of students initially demonstrated difficulties in critical thinking. Novelty: This research provides early evidence on how coding education concretely stimulates critical thinking in young children within rural early childhood contexts. Implications: The results highlight the importance of integrating developmentally appropriate coding activities into early childhood curricula to strengthen critical thinking foundations and inform future digital learning model development for PAUD. Highlights: Coding learning significantly strengthens critical thinking skills in 6-year-old children. Visual-based coding activities help improve analysis, evaluation, and problem-solving abilities. Integrating coding in early childhood supports digital literacy and cognitive readiness in the digital era. Keywords: Critical Thinking, Coding Education, 6-year-old Children, Digitalization, Early Childhood Education
