Abstract

Berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi kelas 5 SD Negeri 4 Baturetno ditemukan kendala dalam menyelsaikan soal numerasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan problem peserta didik dalam mengerjakan soal numerasi menggunakan cara hitung cepat. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Tahap prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, yakni Tahap observasi, untuk mengumpulkan data di lokasi penelitian berupa peristiwa mengenai problem siswa saat menyelesaikan soal numerasi menggunakan cara hitung cepat. Tahap wawancara menggunakan jenis wawancara semi terstruktur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan dalam memahami konsep numerasi seperti membedakan akar tiga dan pangkat tiga, kesulitan menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan pernyataan yang ada, kesulitan belum lancar membaca hingga memahami konteks soal, kesulitan dalam mengimajinasikan sesuatu objek. Dari hasil tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulkan bahwa memberikan pengalaman belajar secara konkret dan melakukan beberapa pengajaran remedial seperti: 1) pelatihan penguasaan tugas dan keterampilan; 2) pelatihan penguasaan proses; 3) pelatihan perilaku. Bimbingan belajar merupakan proses pemberian bantuan kepada siswa dalam usaha mencegah dan mengatasi kesulitan.

Abstract

Konsep matematika pada kehidupan sehari-hari biasanya hanya dilihat pada persoalan yang bersifat hitungan, namun sejatinya terdapat korelasi didalamnya. Matematika dan budaya adalah dua hal yang saling berhubungan. Oleh karena itu dalam memberikan pengajaran matematika, guru dapat meng-koneksikan pengetahuan matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari di kenal dengan istilah etnomatematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini  adalah untuk menggali dan mengeksplorasi konsep bangun datar di Sekolah Dasar pada struktur candi pari Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif pendekatan etnografi data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, studi literasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang didapat diharapkan sebagai sumber pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah Dasar serta sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan apa yang disebut etnomatematika. Hasil dari penelitin ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat konsep bangun datar pada struktur candi Pari, Sidoarjo. Struktur tersebut berbentuk persegi, persegi panjang, trapesium, dan segitiga. Konsep bangun datar terdapat pada dinding candi, pintu masuk, serta atap candi. Proses pembelajaran matematika dengan mengunakan objek etnomtematika diharapkan semakin mempermudah para siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika dari sesuatu yang konkret dan nyata.

Abstract

Penguatan pendidikan karakter religus melalui pembiasaan budaya sekolah ini berperan penting untuk membentuk generasi bangsa yang berkualitas. Penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah bermanfaat untuk terbentuknya generasi bangsa yang bukan hanya unggul dalam bidang akademik akan tetapi juga unggul mempunyai akhlakul karimah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter religius melalui pembiasaan budaya sekolah di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Driyorejo serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui pembiasaan budaya sekolah di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Driyoerjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis fenomenologi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa, kegiatan pembiasaan karakter religus melalui budaya sekolah sangat berpengaruh untuk meningkatnya sifat religus siswa, memiliki karakter yang baik, beriman, bertanggung jawab dan memiliki sikap akhlaku karimah. Faktor pendukung meliputi kondisi lingkungan, peran guru dan kerja sama antara berbagai pihak seperti, orang tua dengan warga sekolah. Hambatannya adanya penolakan pada siswa maupun wali murid. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian yang berlokasi di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Driyorejo sesuai dengan visi dan misi yaitu, terbentuknya siswa yang unggul, teladan, beriman dan bertanggung jawab serta mengamalkan ilmu pengetahun dalam aktivitas sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of questions on math story problems in the 2013 curriculum book by calculating the percentage of each level of Unistructural, Multistructural, Relational, and Expanded Abstract. This study uses a qualitative approach with a check list method. The SOLO taxonomy is an evaluation tool to determine the quality of the response to a problem. The results of this study contained 230 questions overall and 32 questions SOLO Taxonomy. Unistructural question level percentage 6.24% SOLO Taxonomy questions. The percentage at the level of Multistructural questions is 3.24%, while at the level of relational questions is 90.62%, and the percentage at Expanded Abstract is 0%. From the results of the data obtained, it appears that at the level of the Relational question has the highest percentage with a result of 90.62%. This shows that the 2013 curriculum fifth grade mathematics book is in accordance with the theory of SOLO Taxonomy.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the numeracy ability of 41 grade 3 elementary school students from Geluran II State Elementary School in completing addition and subtraction arithmetic operations during the pandemic era. Data was collected through tests and interviews, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model for data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results revealed that students employed diverse strategies in performing arithmetic operations, but not all strategies led to correct solutions. While students explained the steps well, errors occurred when the initial mathematical statement was presented inaccurately. This study emphasizes the significance of understanding students' individual approaches and errors in arithmetic problem-solving, shedding light on crucial implications for teaching and learning mathematics in challenging circumstances. Highlights: Differentiated Approaches: Grade 3 students exhibited diverse strategies in solving arithmetic operations. Error Identification: Students' ability to explain steps correctly but make errors in the initial mathematical statement. Abstract

This research presents the development and evaluation of a groundbreaking 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' game as an innovative cognitive learning assessment tool for grade 3 elementary students. Employing the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, the study underwent five crucial stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Questionnaires and documentation were used for data collection, and both qualitative and quantitative techniques were applied for analysis. The game's viability was examined by media and mathematician experts, along with grade 3 students, with impressive results, garnering "very feasible" ratings ranging from 89% to 92%. The findings demonstrate the game's immense potential as an effective and engaging method to assess cognitive learning outcomes, promising to revolutionize educational assessments worldwide. Highlights: The study introduces a novel 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' game for cognitive learning assessment in grade 3 elementary school. Utilizing the ADDIE model, the research covers Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages for robust game development. The research findings reveal high feasibility ratings from experts and students, signifying the game's potential to revolutionize cognitive assessment methods in education. Abstract

Elementary school students' difficulties in solving literacy problems are caused by students' lack of understanding of mathematical concepts. Using a specific regional context in literacy problems is essential to analyze layers of understanding elementary school more deeply. Based on Pirie-Kieren's theory, the study aims to analyze layers of understanding elementary school students in solving literacy problems in the context of Sidoarjo. The theory consists of eight understanding layers: primitive knowing, image making, image having, property noticing, formalising, observing, structuring, and inventing. A qualitative approach with a case study type was used as the research method. The research participants were 26 fifth-grade elementary school students. The determination of the research subjects was done by purposive technique. In this, the emphasis of determining the subject is taken on three categories of understanding by having one student each in the low, medium, and high categories. The results show that the layers of understanding of elementary school students are at the highest, namely observing. In addition, literacy problems in Sidoarjo contexts can overstimulate students' understanding. The context of learning should be used in Sidoarjo. Future research recommendations suggested using the regional context as a background for literacy problems in learning or problem-solving; this is needed to explore and develop layers of understanding to a higher level.

Abstract

The research entitled The Effect of Ethnomathematics-Based Dakon Game Media on Learning Outcomes of Counting Whole Number Operations. This study aims to determine the effect of ethnomathematics-based dakon game media on learning outcomes of counting operations on whole numbers of first grade students at SDN Candinegoro. This study uses experimental quantitative research, the design used is Pre-Experimental type One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The instrument used in this study was the Pretest-Posttest result test. Based on the results of the research conducted, it is known that the calculation results of the t-test are the tcount value of 7.04 with a significant ttable of 5% db=21–1=20 ttable of 1.72472, then the value of tcount> ttable is 7.04> 1.72472 ( H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected), it can be concluded that there is an influence of ethnomathematics-based dakon game media on the learning outcomes of counting operations on whole numbers for the first grade students of SDN Candinegoro.

Abstract

Starting to fade awareness of the diversity that exists in the social environment, will result in conflicts between individuals and between groups emerging. The emergence of these conflicts has an impact on disrupting national stability because it is easier for people to be divided with hatred and prejudice just because they do not know and understand the diversity of their nation, especially in the digitalization era which provides easy access to digitally interacting, therefore the implementation of cultural literacy and citizenship in the current digital era, it is very necessary to implement it in the world of education, especially at the elementary school level which is a basic means in developing student potential to become human beings who believe and are devoted to God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent. , and become a democratic and responsible citizen. This study aims to describe the urgency of cultural literacy and citizenship for elementary schools in the digitalization era and how to implement cultural literacy and citizenship in elementary schools. This research uses a literature study method by collecting and analyzing various literature sources such as books, magazines, and research journals that are in accordance with the research objectives. Based on the results of the study, it was found that in the current digitalization era, the implementation of cultural literacy and citizenship in elementary schools is very urgent. The implementation of cultural literacy and citizenship in elementary schools can be carried out well if it is supported by parents, and the surrounding community by providing facilities to support cultural and civic literacy programs prepared by the school.

Abstract

The ability and expertise in solving problems is needed by every student. Augmented Reality (AR) is a learning application that can improve students' skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of problem solving ability in 3D spatial modeling between students before being given AR treatment and before being given AR. This study used a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the research were 43 students of class V SDN Lakarsantri 2 Surabaya. This study uses test and non-test instruments. The research data were analyzed using paired T-test. The results showed that: 1) there was a significant effect on problem solving between students before being given treatment and before being given AR.
