Abstract

The use of information technology, especially geospatial-based information systems, has become very important in various sectors of life. This is especially relevant in the context of education, where understanding and mastery of technology is key to preparing the younger generation to face the complex challenges of the job market. This geospatial-based information system training, we aim to be able to create a young generation who are not only skilled and competent, but also innovative in facing future challenges. The implementation of geospatial-based information system training activities are strategies that will be used to convey material, develop skills, and facilitate the understanding of trainees about the concepts taught in geospatial and geomatics spatial planning. However, the knowledge of students, especially vocational school students who have a Geomatics major, is limited. For this reason, this study provides additional knowledge of students about Geomatics. Some of the methods used in the implementation of this training activity include using methods: initial activities, process activities and final activities. In the initial stage and the last, students are given the same questionnaire. The data results show an increase in student answers regarding the geomatics major. The main indicator that is a reference is the quantity and quality of students' answers that have increased. Abstract

Child growth and development is the result of the interaction process of hereditary factors, hereditary constitution and environmental factors at the prenatal stage or at the postnatal stage. Growth and development occur simultaneously. This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers in providing stimulation for baby growth and development in the Viktory Clinic Work Area, South Nias in 2024. The type of research used is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was all mothers who had babies aged 0-12 months in the Viktory Clinic Working Area, South Nias, totaling 40 people. with total sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using the chi square test.  The research results showed that of the 40 respondents, the majority did not stimulate baby growth and development, 28 respondents (70%). Most mothers' knowledge about stimulating baby growth and development was sufficient, 18 respondents (45%) and a good minority, 8 respondents (20%). The majority of mothers' attitudes regarding stimulating baby's growth and development were negative, as many as 29 respondents (72.5%). There is a relationship between maternal knowledge and stimulation of baby growth and development with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). There is a relationship between maternal knowledge and stimulation of baby growth and development with a p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05). The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers in providing stimulation for baby growth and development.

Abstract

Infokus merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan oleh guru untuk menarik perhatian siswa pada saat guru menjelaskan materi pelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dan keaktifan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh penggunaan infokus terhadap hasil belajar dan keaktifan belajar matematika siswa SMPN 1 Wamena. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif.  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik Inferensial dengan uji paired sample t-test menggunakan SPSS versi 23. Sampel penelitian diambil secara purposive sampling yaitu sebanyak 23 orang. Adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah dan sesudah penggunaan test sebesar 19,96. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired sampel t-test menunjukkan  nilai 0,001 < 0,05 yang berarti ada perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum menggunakan infokus dan sesudah menggunakan infokus. Pada hasil belajar dan keaktifan belajar nilai signifikansinnya 0,000 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media infokus terhadap hasil belajar siswa ditinjau dari keaktifan belajar. Berdasarkan sebaran angket yang diberikan diperoleh data bahwa 75% siswa lebih aktif saat guru menggunakan infokus.

Abstract

Getting enough sleep is essential for a child's physical, cognitive, and emotional development. The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling on the various benefits of adequate sleep for children, which include improving academic performance, emotional balance, and physical and mental health. Lack of sleep quality can lead to a decrease in hemoglobin levels which eventually leads to anemia Some studies have shown that quality sleep contributes to the consolidation of a child's memory, learning ability, and creativity. This counseling was carried out at SD Negeri 200103 using lecture, observation, question and answer methods. The media used is in the form of posters and banners. The results of this counseling activity show that pupils of 200103 State Elementary School have understood the benefits of getting enough sleep for children. After this counseling is carried out, it is hoped that it can increase the knowledge of elementary school pupils about the importance of enough sleep for children in order to achive a properly and good sleep without obstacles by applying what has been conveyed during the counseling in daily life.

Mendongeng merupakan tradisi yang sudah dimiliki oleh bangsa Indonesia berabad-abad yang lalu yang perlu dilestarikan karena banyak manfaat yang bisa diambil dari kegiatan tersebut. Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan tentang pengertian dongeng, mendongeng, dan manfaatnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Data yang diperlukan diperoleh dengan studi pustaka dan selanjutnya diinterpreasi. Tahap selanjutnya dideskripsikan tentang dongeng, mendongeng dan manfaatnya. Dongeng adalah cerita prosa rakyat yang dianggap tidak benar-benar terjadi. Manfaat yang bisa dipetik dari kegiatan mendongeng adalah: 1. Menumbuhkan sikap proaktif, 2. Mempererat hubungan anak dengan orang tua. 3. Menambah pengetahuan, 4. Melatih daya konsentrasi, 5. Menambah perbendaharaan kata, 6. Menumbuhkan minat baca, 7. Memicu daya pikir kritis anak, 8. Merangsang imajinasi, fantasi, dan kreativitas anak, 9. Memberi pelajaran tanpa terkesan menggurui.

Abstract

One of the common problems in teaching English Reading Comprehension at the college level is the mismatch between the teaching materials and the student’s proficiency level. This study explores students’ perceptions of the effectiveness of the teaching materials used in the English Reading Comprehension course and how they affect their learning experience. This study used a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The subjects of the study consisted of 60 second-semester students of the English Language Education Study Program, who were selected through a total sampling technique from three different classes taught by lecturers A, B, and C. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess clarity, relevance, use of multimedia, and motivational impact, and semi-structured interviews to dig deeper into the information. Quantitative data analysis was conducted descriptively, while qualitative data were analyzed using a thematic approach. The results showed that the materials from Lecturers A and B received positive assessments, while those from Lecturer C were less effective. The conclusion of this study confirms that structured, proficiency-appropriate, and multimodal teaching materials can significantly improve students’ comprehension and engagement. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of student-centered and innovative teaching approaches in higher education curriculum development.

Abstract

Persaingan ketat antar merek skincare mendorong inovasi dan promosi yang efektif, salah satunya dengan menggunakan brand ambassador sebagai strategi pemasaran. Contohnya, Whitelab memilih Sehun EXO sebagai Brand Ambassador untuk meningkatkan kesadaran merek, yang meningkatkan jumlah pengikut Instagram mereka meski masih tertinggal dibanding pesaing. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan kuesioner dari pengikut Instagram Whitelab yang mengenal Sehun, dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Visibilitas (X1), Kredibilitas (X2), dan Daya Tarik (X3) tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap Citra Merek (Y). Koefisien determinasi (R²) menunjukkan bahwa 26,5% Citra Merek dipengaruhi oleh variabel tersebut, sementara 73,5% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the skills of conveying ideas of class VII students by applying the Debate learning model. Sampling in this study was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling technique with the One Group Pretest Posttest Control Design research design so that class VII-C was obtained as the sample of this study. The number of class VII-C students was 34 students. The method used in this study used the experimental method, to see the effect of the Debate learning model on the skills of conveying ideas. The research instrument was used through tests and perception questionnaires that had been validated by experts. The normality test showed that the data was normally distributed with the results of the significance of the pretest data 0.200> 0.05 and the posttest data 0.121> 0.05. The results showed that the average value of the questionnaire was 4.43 with a scale of 5, the results showed a very positive perception. The average result (Mean) of the pretest was 60.17 while the posttest was 81.35 which was included in the very good category. This shows that there was a significant increase with a difference of 21.18. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test. Based on the results of data analysis conducted from the pretest and posttest, the t-value obtained was 7.888> t-table of 1.692 and significance (0.000 <0.05). This shows that the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that the use of the Debate learning model has an effect on the skills of conveying ideas of class VII students of SMP Santo Yoseph Medan in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Writing learning model assisted by visual media on the poetry writing skills of Grade VIII students at SMP Swasta Maria Goretti Kabanjahe in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a post-test-only control group design with a sample of 64 students, divided into two groups: 32 students in the experimental class and 32 in the control class. The research instruments consisted of a test and a perception questionnaire, both of which were validated by experts. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed (Significance = 0.062 > 0.05), and the homogeneity test indicated that the data were homogeneous (Significance = 0.072 > 0.05). The average score from the perception questionnaire was 4.60 on a 5-point scale, indicating a very positive perception. The average poetry writing score of the experimental group was 88.96, while the control group scored 65.43, resulting in a difference of 23.53 points. The theme of motivation was the most frequently chosen by students in the experimental class. The ANOVA test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant effect of the model on learning outcomes. Additionally, the t-test produced a t-value of 13.224, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.696, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Quantum Writing model assisted by visual media has a positive and significant effect on improving students’ poetry writing skills.
