Abstract

The main challenges in developing a national health data system in Indonesia include the fact that more than 80% of healthcare facilities remain undigitalized, data fragmentation, and limited regulations on data standardization and interoperability, which are not yet aligned with the Ministry of Health’s 2024 mandate. Fulfilling this mandate requires continuous and real-time access to medical records, as well as data completeness, consistency, accuracy, and the prevention of work duplication among Electronic Medical Record (EMR) users. Intelligence Quotient (IQ), encompassing intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence, significantly influences employee performance and hospital quality. This study aims to develop an IQ model using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) approach to measure job satisfaction and performance in hospitals. Data were collected through a cross-sectional questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) and Importance Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA). The results show that IQ has a direct effect on net benefits and an indirect effect through EUCS and satisfaction, with an R-square value of 71% for satisfaction, indicating a strong influence. Efforts to enhance IQ should focus on improving problem-solving abilities, self-awareness, self- and relationship management, flexibility, resilience, and adherence to regulations.

Abstract

Permenkes No. 24 of 2022 concerning the use of RME which is already mandatory in all health facilities. This study aims to analyze the readiness of the application of electronic medical records using the DOQ-IT method in inpatient installations. This type of research is quantitative analytic with the Spearman correlation test using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. A total of 19 populations were used in this study and purposive sampling was applied as a sampling technique by determining 15 samples to be used. The research variables used in this study are organizational culture, human resources, infrastructure, and leadership governance. It can be concluded from the results of the study that the readiness of the human resources sector obtained an average score of 19.7, with a fairly ready category, the readiness of the organizational work culture sector obtained an average score of 42.9, with a very ready category, the readiness of the leadership governance sector obtained an average score of 32.1, with a very ready category, the readiness of the infrastructure sector obtained an average score of 15.9, with a very ready category. All aspects are very ready to implement electronic medical records. Based on the total average score obtained of 110.6, it can be concluded that RSIA IBI Surabaya officers have a high level of readiness in implementing RME and are classified as very ready.  Keywords: Readiness, Electronic Medical Records, DOQ-IT, Hospitalization, Hospital.

Abstract

Background: The widespread use of the internet among adolescents has transformed how they access health information. However, the abundance of unverified online content poses risks for individuals who lack the skills to assess its credibility. Digital health literacy is therefore essential for enabling adolescents to seek, evaluate, and use health information responsibly. Objectives: This study examined the relationship between digital health literacy and health information–seeking behavior among Indonesian adolescents, providing empirical evidence to inform digital health promotion strategies. Methods: A cross-sectional analytic study was conducted with 524 adolescents aged 12–19 years from five provinces in Indonesia. Data were collected using an online questionnaire comprising the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) and a Health Information–Seeking Behavior (HISB) instrument developed by the researchers. Descriptive statistics were used to profile respondents, and Spearman’s rank correlation was applied to assess the relationship between variables. Results: Overall, 38.2% of adolescents demonstrated high, 46.7% moderate, and 15.1% low digital health literacy. Adolescents with higher literacy levels exhibited more active and critical health information–seeking behavior, including more frequent use of credible sources, information verification, and appropriate application of information in decision-making. A significant positive correlation was found between digital health literacy and health information–seeking behavior (ρ = 0.307; p = 0.007), indicating that digital health literacy substantially influences adolescents’ engagement with online health information. Conclusion: Digital health literacy plays an important role in shaping adolescents’ health information–seeking behavior. Strengthening digital health literacy should be prioritized in health promotion initiatives targeting young populations in the digital era.

Abstract

Introduction: Spatial analysis of industrial environmental performance data is necessary for optimizing industrial sites, mitigating environmental risks, enhancing environmental performance, minimizing adverse effects, and promoting industrial sustainability. This study aims to map the environmental performance of industry and its effect on water quality and the incidence of diarrhea in East Java Province, Indonesia. Methods: This research was observational and used secondary data. The population and sample of this study were all 38 districts and cities in East Java Province. The study was conducted from June to September 2025. This study utilized the Global Positioning System (GPS) to collect data, namely coordinate points based on the addresses of industries or companies in East Java. Coordinates were colored blue, green, or red according to the industrial environmental performance rating (PROPER). The data analysis in this study used linear regression and a spatial autocorrelation approach in ArcGIS. Results and Discussion: The data of performance in environmental management of companies for 2022–2023 for regencies or cities in East Java showed that the industries included in the PROPER assessment were mostly from Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, and Gresik. The red PROPER ratings were most prevalent in Gresik, Sidoarjo, and Surabaya, while the blue PROPER ratings were most prevalent in Pasuruan, Sidoarjo, and Gresik. Conclusion: There is a spatial effect on the distribution of the number of red proper in East Java province. And a significant correlation was found between the red PROPER rating and the number of diarrhea cases per district/city in East Java province.
