Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan pengajaran keterampilan berbicara menggunakan buku "Laa Taskut" pada siswa kelas satu sekolah menengah di Institut Al-Baqiyat Al-Salihat di Tembilahan Riau. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan data yang komprehensif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa menghadapi tantangan dalam keterampilan berbicara, termasuk keterbatasan kosakata, kesulitan dalam menyusun kalimat, dan kurangnya kepercayaan diri saat berbicara dalam bahasa Arab. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, diterapkan serangkaian strategi seperti mendorong siswa untuk menghafal kosakata, memperbanyak latihan dalam menyusun kalimat, dan mengadakan sesi untuk menerapkan bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan bahasa Arab dengan lancar dan mencapai komunikasi yang efektif. Kata Kunci: keterampilan berbicara, buku "Laa Taskut", kosakata, penyusunan kalimat, pengajaran bahasa Arab.

Abstract

In Arabic language education, writing remains one of the most underdeveloped yet essential skills, particularly for non-native learners who often excel in grammar drills but struggle to produce coherent and expressive texts. This study explores the role of Ibda’ Magazine as an authentic, student-centered platform to enhance Arabic writing skills and literacy among 60 third-year Tsanawiyah students at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah. Using a qualitative descriptive design, the research draws on thematic analysis of student writings, classroom observations, and semi-structured interviews with both learners and instructors. The findings reveal significant improvement in students' vocabulary use, grammatical accuracy, narrative coherence, and stylistic expression. Additionally, learners reported increased confidence, motivation, and a deeper sense of ownership over their Arabic writing. The study affirms that culturally relevant, print-based media can serve as powerful pedagogical tools in bridging the gap between formal instruction and meaningful language practice, offering new pathways for Arabic writing development in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

Aktivitas pembelajaran sharaf di SMA Muhammadiyah Tanggul memerlukan inovasi untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1)mengeksplorasi aktivitas pembelajaran sharaf kelas XI 2) merancang media ular tangga sharaf, 3) mengetahui kelayakan media ular tangga sharaf. Model Rapid Prototyping yang diintegrasikan dengan ADDIE dipilih untuk merancang media tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara kepada guru matapelajaran sharaf dan angket validasi media oleh ahli media. Selanjutnya, data kualitatif menggunakan analisis konten tematik. Sedangkan, data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan skala Likert. Peneliti berkesimpulan bahwa 1) pembelajaran sharaf di kelas XI bertujuan membiasakan siswa melafalkan tashrif istilahy, namun kurang siswa terlihat kurang aktif pada pertemuan ke empat akibat aktifitas yang monoton. 2) Media ular tangga berbentuk A3, dilengkapi panduan, pion, dan dadu untuk empat pemain. 3) Penilaian ahli menyatakan media ini layak dengan nilai 27, meskipun membutuhkan perbaikan pada warna dan penambahan kalimat mauzun untuk penggunaan optimal.

Abstract

Imagine a classroom where Arabic writing, often perceived as a rigid and intimidating skill, transforms into an engaging narrative journey filled with vivid stories and emotional connections. What if students could master complex grammatical structures and expand their vocabulary not through rote memorization, but by weaving them into unforgettable tales? This study breaks conventional norms by introducing mnemonic storytelling as a revolutionary psycholinguistic strategy to enhance Arabic writing competence among students at Darullughah Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School. The research employs a qualitative approach, involving 30 students aged 16–18 years, selected through purposive sampling. Over six weeks, participants engaged in weekly mnemonic storytelling sessions, integrating key grammatical rules and vocabulary into culturally rich narratives. Data were collected via observations, semi-structured interviews, and analysis of writing samples. The findings reveal significant improvements in grammar retention, vocabulary acquisition, and creative expression, underscoring the effectiveness of mnemonic storytelling as an emotionally engaging and cognitively efficient teaching tool. This study not only redefines how Arabic writing is taught but also advocates for storytelling as a core pedagogical strategy. Future research should explore its adaptability across diverse educational settings to amplify its impact on language education.

Abstract

AbstractDespite the increasing adoption of technology in education, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) remain underexplored in terms of sustainable digital integration aligned with Islamic values. This study offers a comprehensive exploration of technology-based learning innovations within pesantren, examining how these innovations enhance pedagogical effectiveness while integrating principles of Islamic education management. Conducted as an in-depth qualitative case study across three pesantren in East Java, data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation analysis. The study identified three core innovations: the use of digital learning media, the implementation of e-learning platforms, and the integration of mobile applications. These approaches have positively impacted student motivation, learning flexibility, and teacher-student engagement. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and inadequate digital literacy among educators persist. Findings underscore the need for systematic teacher training, infrastructure investment, and culturally relevant digital leadership to ensure sustainable transformation. Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Kitab Af'al in enhancing Arabic vocabulary acquisition using the Senior Teaches Junior (STJ) approach. The research evaluates how structured peer-teaching frameworks foster vocabulary retention and sustainable learning. A mixed method approach was employed, observing 30 students in a classroom setting. Kitab Af'al, featuring 540 verbs, was taught through techniques like spaced repetition, mnemonic devices, and thematic chunking. Data collection included observations, interviews, and documentation analysis. Results show that the combination of Kitab Af'al with the STJ approach significantly improved vocabulary mastery, while also building students' confidence and leadership. Peer-led sessions created a collaborative learning environment and a repository of effective teaching strategies for future application. This study highlights the synergy between traditional resources and innovative methods, offering a cost-effective and sustainable solution for Arabic language acquisition. It underscores the potential of the STJ model to empower students in resource-constrained educational settings.

Abstract

This study explores the pedagogical effectiveness of Nazm Al-Ajrumiyyah and its commentary Al-Mawahib Al-Rabbaniyah in enhancing the learning of Arabic grammar, particularly in the areas of nahwu (syntax) and sharaf (morphology). Utilizing a mixed-method approach, the research involves 200 students from Pon Pes Darullughah Wadda'wah and 100 students from the Arabic Language Education (PBA) department. Quantitative results indicate significant improvement in students' memorization and understanding of grammatical rules after incorporating nazm into their curriculum, with 75% of learners showing enhanced long-term retention. Qualitative findings, based on classroom observations and interviews, reveal that students found the poetic method engaging and effective in simplifying complex grammar concepts. The rhythmic structure of nazm facilitated a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience, while Al-Mawahib Al-Rabbaniyah provided valuable explanations that bridged traditional grammatical rules with contemporary learning needs. The study concludes with recommendations for curriculum development, advocating for the formal integration of nazm in Arabic grammar instruction to improve comprehension and retention.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penulisan karya ilmiah mahasiswa tingkat awal di Universitas Islam Internasional Darullughah Wadda’wah (UII Dalwa) melalui program pendampingan intensif selama 30 hari. Sebanyak 20 mahasiswa Program Studi Sejarah Peradaban Islam mengikuti kegiatan ini secara aktif. Menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), mahasiswa dilibatkan dalam seluruh tahapan, mulai dari identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan, refleksi, hingga evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman struktur karya ilmiah, kemampuan menyusun kutipan dan daftar pustaka, serta kepercayaan diri dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan tulisan akademik. Program ini juga berhasil membentuk budaya akademik yang lebih partisipatif dan kolaboratif, serta mendorong munculnya komunitas penulis mahasiswa yang berkelanjutan. Temuan ini memperkuat bukti efektivitas pelatihan berbasis praktik dan pendampingan aktif dalam peningkatan literasi ilmiah mahasiswa di lingkungan perguruan tinggi Islam. Kata kunci: pendampingan, karya ilmiah, mahasiswa, literasi akademik, pesantren, PAR Abstract This community service program aims to enhance the scientific writing skills of early-year students at the International Islamic University Darullughah Wadda’wah (UII Dalwa) through a 30-day intensive mentoring initiative. A total of 20 students from the Islamic Civilization History Program actively participated in this program. Employing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, students were involved in every stage—from needs assessment and training to reflection and evaluation. The results showed significant improvement in understanding scientific writing structure, citation and referencing skills, and self-confidence in producing and submitting scholarly work. Moreover, the program fostered a participatory academic culture and initiated the formation of a sustainable student writing community. These outcomes align with previous findings on the effectiveness of practice-based mentoring in developing academic literacy within Islamic higher education. Abstract

This study explores the impact of AI-generated music, specifically through the Suno AI platform, on enhancing Arabic listening skills (maharah istima') and vocabulary acquisition at Darullughah Wadda’wah Boarding School (Pesantren). A qualitative approach was employed over a 3-week period, involving 120 students aged 16 to 18. The findings reveal that AI-powered music significantly improved student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. Students demonstrated better vocabulary retention and listening comprehension, facilitated by the contextual use of lyrics in AI-generated songs. However, the short duration of the study posed challenges for mastering all introduced vocabulary. This research suggests that integrating AI-generated music into Arabic language education offers a promising, engaging alternative to traditional methods, particularly in enhancing receptive language skills. Future studies could extend the duration and explore the impact on other language skills such as speaking and writing.
