Abstract

This community engagement program analyzes the transformation of SMAN 1 Bangil into SMAN 1 Taruna Madani in Pasuruan Regency, a collaboration between the East Java Provincial Government, the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL), and Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah (Dalwa). The initiative focuses on the integration of academic education, discipline training, and religious values, and their impact on students' character development. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, program documentation, and open-ended questionnaires. The results show significant improvements in religious awareness, discipline, and social responsibility, with students demonstrating better time management between academic, religious, and social obligations. Activities such as congregational prayers, Quran memorization, and religious studies enhanced students' spiritual values, while discipline training by TNI AL built responsibility and resilience. Social programs like community service and environmental campaigns cultivated empathy and social engagement among students. Despite these successes, challenges remain in curriculum integration, infrastructure readiness, and educator training. Recommendations include enhancing coordination among stakeholders, accelerating infrastructure development, and providing continuous training for educators and instructors. This integrated education model is expected to serve as a sustainable reference for similar schools in fostering disciplined, responsible, and spiritually aware students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore effective strategies for simplifying Arabic grammar (nahwu) to enhance maharah kalam (speaking skills) among students participating in the intensive Daurah Ramadhan program at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah (Dalwa). Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved 60 takhassus students from diverse pesantren backgrounds who had prior knowledge of nahwu and sharaf but still struggled with active Arabic conversation. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with both teachers and students, and documentation of teaching materials and student evaluations. The data analysis employed thematic analysis, involving data reduction, categorization of themes, and interpretation of findings. To ensure data validity, triangulation methods were used, including triangulation of sources (comparing data from interviews and observations) and triangulation of methods (combining observation, interviews, and documentation). The findings reveal that simplified grammar instruction—such as recognizing the implicit meaning of "is" in jumlah ismiyyah, applying patterns with "أن", and using "قبل–بعد" structures—significantly boosted students' confidence and fluency in speaking. Moreover, the integration of mnemonic techniques, peer learning, and the jigsaw method strengthened both comprehension and communicative competence in a collaborative and contextual learning environment. This study confirms that grammar simplification is not merely a technical adjustment but a pedagogical strategy that effectively supports communicative-based Arabic language learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Memperkuat insting bahasa Arab (dzauq) merupakan aspek penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa yang efektif. Pengajaran bahasa Arab sering menghadapi tantangan dalam mendorong kompetensi linguistik yang holistik pada peserta didik. Salah satu pendekatan inovatif adalah integrasi drama dan teater sebagai strategi pedagogis. Studi ini mengeksplorasi penerapan drama dan teater dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah (DALWA). Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas drama secara efektif mengintegrasikan keterampilan bahasa (kitabah, qira’ah, istima’, dan kalam) sambil membangun kepercayaan diri, kesadaran budaya, dan kreativitas siswa. Teknik mnemonik yang terintegrasi dalam drama meningkatkan retensi kosakata melalui pengalaman emosional dan visual. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa drama dan teater tidak hanya memfasilitasi pembelajaran bahasa, tetapi juga menciptakan kenangan emosional yang mendalam, memperkuat dzauq siswa terhadap bahasa Arab, dan memperkaya apresiasi budaya. Rekomendasi meliputi pelatihan lanjutan bagi guru, pengembangan naskah dengan alat teknologi, dan studi longitudinal untuk mengevaluasi dampak jangka panjang pendekatan ini.

Abstract

Desa Jaddih merupakan desa yang memiliki adat seserahan sebelum akad nikah, namun biasanya pasangan yang sudah bercerai biasanya ingin meminta kembali seserahan yang sudah diberikan, metoda/pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang diperinci terhadap suatu individu atau kelompok tertentu penelitian ini selanjutnya akan dianalisa dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif yang kemudian dirangkai menggunakan metode Deduktif. Kesimpulaan bahwa adat menarik kembali seserahan yang diberikan bertentangan dengan ketetapan hukum Islam.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has sparked new possibilities for enhancing language acquisition; however, its rapid advancement poses challenges when not harmonized with cognitive and psychological readiness. This study investigates how psycholinguistic principles, when paired with AI tools, can foster the development of Arabic language instinct among advanced learners. The research focuses on 50 participants from Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah, utilizing a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative data collection with qualitative classroom observations and interviews. The results show significant linguistic improvements: grammar proficiency increased from 68% to 85%, vocabulary retention improved by 40%, and learners’ speaking confidence rose by 30%. A critical finding of this study is the role of dzauq—a form of linguistic and cultural intuition—in enhancing language depth and sensitivity. AI-based applications, such as adaptive feedback systems and speech simulators, proved effective in improving learner engagement, responsiveness, and self-correction capabilities. Nonetheless, the tools still face limitations, especially in accurately capturing dialectal variety and cultural semantics inherent in Arabic. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on language pedagogy and artificial intelligence by proposing a model that integrates psycholinguistic insight with AI-enabled learning. It highlights the necessity of balancing technological advancement with human-centered strategies rooted in linguistic identity and cultural authenticity. Ultimately, the study offers a transformative framework for Arabic language education that prioritizes both intuitive fluency and ethical, context-aware technology integration.

Abstract

Proses pengenalan nahwu dan shorof kepada santri pemula bukanlah hal mudah. Ada permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam proses ini. Yaitu, kelemahan santri dalam memahami dan menghafalkan konsep nahwu dan sharaf yang telah diajarkan. Oleh sebab itu, guru kelas i’dad di pondok pesantren Al Mawarits An Nabawiyyah mencoba menerapkan aktifitas “Berbaris dan Menjawab” sebagai bentuk praktik baik dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang telah disebutkan peneliti bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan 1) Pembelajaran nahwu dan sharaf bagi santri tingkat i’dad. 2) Bagaimana potret aktifitas “Berbaris dan Menjawab” dalam pembelajaran nahwu dan sharaf di kelas i’dad. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis naratif inkuiri. Pemerolehan data dilakukan dengan 2 teknik. Yaitu, observasi partisipatif selama aktifitas pembelajaran berlangsung dan wawancara dengan guru kelas i’dad. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan 3 tahap sesuai dengan model analisis Miles & Huberman. Yaitu, reduksi, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 2 kesimpulan. 1) Pembelajaran nahwu dan sharaf bagi kelas i’dad menekankan pengenalan konsep nahwu dan sharaf. Sehingga guru cenderung menggunakan metode hafalan dan drill. Bahan ajar yang digunakan oleh guru adalah buku “Ringkasan Teori Dasar” metode Al Bidayah. Masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh guru yaitu santri kerap lupa terhadap materi yang baru saja diajarkan di kelas sehingga guru menerapkan aktifitas “Berbaris dan Menjawab. 2) Aktifitas “Berbaris dan Menjawab” dilaksanakan 10 menit menjelang berakhirnya pelajaran. Santri berbaris dengan rapi dan masing-masing menjawab 1 pertanyaan dengan benar. Jika jawaban salah maka santri yang bersangkutan harus mengantri dan mengulang lagi hingga jawabannya benar.

Abstract

This study investigates the strategic utilization of Ibda’ Magazine as an innovative instructional medium to enhance Arabic reading skills (maharah qirā’ah) among students in a pesantren-based educational environment. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Darullughah Wadda’wah and involved 120 senior secondary students across four intact classes. Ibda’ Magazine (Edition 3) was integrated into the curriculum through structured strategies such as pre-reading prediction, guided reading, mnemonic reinforcement, post-reading reflection, and Jigsaw collaboration. Quantitative data revealed significant gains across three reading domains: vocabulary retention (from 63.5 to 83.2), inferential comprehension (from 60.1 to 75.4), and identification of main ideas (from 63.2 to 77.9), with a mean increase from 62.3 to 78.9 (p < 0.001). Qualitative findings from interviews and reflections showed enhanced student motivation, contextual understanding, and ownership of learning. The study concludes that Ibda’ Magazine promotes both reading proficiency and learner identity, serving as an authentic, culturally responsive medium in Arabic language pedagogy.

Abstract

In an era where traditional teaching methods often fail to meet the evolving needs of language learners, peer tutoring emerges as a transformative approach to Arabic language education. This study explores peer tutoring as a collaborative strategy at Darullughah Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School (pesantren), addressing challenges such as limited class time, imbalanced teacher-student ratios, and rigid instructional methodologies. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis involving 30 students (15 tutors and 15 tutees) and 3 Arabic teachers. Findings reveal significant improvements in classroom dynamics, motivation, and confidence. Tutors developed leadership skills and reinforced their knowledge through the learning-by-teaching phenomenon, while tutees received personalized support, reducing anxiety and enhancing engagement. Despite challenges such as proficiency gaps, reliance on rote memorization, and the need for teacher supervision, peer tutoring fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and self-directed learning habits. This study concludes that peer tutoring transcends its role as a mere instructional method, acting as a catalyst for holistic academic excellence and personal empowerment. Recommendations include systematic implementation frameworks to balance academic rigor with social-emotional development, ensuring sustainable improvements in Arabic language education within Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Psychology originates in English known as psychology which is rooted in two Greek words, namely psyche which means soul and logos which means science. So literally psychology means the science of the soul. Etymologically, the notion of management is the art of organizing and executing. Management can also be defined as the process of managing or managing something. So in general, management is the process of organizing or managing something done by an individual or a group of people. Management has a relationship with psychology because it is known that the element of HR (human resources) is the most important element of the three working capital of any company. This is because psychology, which is human-centered, is capable of intervening in various internal human factors such as motivation, work attitudes, skills, etc. The method used in this study is a qualitative research, according to the study in this study, the type of research is library research. In this case the researcher will identify discourse from books, papers or articles, magazines, journals, the web (internet), or other information related to the writing title.

Abstract

Thousands of students study Arabic rhetoric every year, yet only a handful truly grasp its beauty and complexity." This gap is not merely a matter of student capability but also a result of monotonous teaching materials and ineffective instructional methods. This study aims to develop Arabic rhetoric teaching materials focusing on Ilm al-Bayan and Ilm al-Badi' using a mind mapping approach. This approach seeks to enhance students' understanding and skills in comprehending complex rhetorical concepts in a more systematic and engaging manner. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model, which includes stages such as needs analysis, initial product design, expert validation, revisions, field testing, and product refinement. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving 30 final-year students at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Al-Yasini. The findings reveal that using mind mapping in teaching Arabic rhetoric significantly improves conceptual understanding, student engagement, and instructional appeal. Evaluations by material experts, instructional tool experts, and graphic design experts resulted in scores of 98.7% (Excellent), 90% (Excellent), and 88.7% (Very Good), respectively. These findings affirm that the developed teaching materials are valid, effective, and capable of enhancing students' learning outcomes in understanding Arabic rhetoric. This study recommends adopting mind mapping as an innovative strategy in teaching Arabic rhetoric to achieve more effective and sustainable learning outcomes.
