Abstract

: Adherence to lifelong antiretroviral (ARV) therapy for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) is crucial to suppress the progression of HIV and prevent transmission to others. Data from the Jambi City Health Office show that out of 335 PLHIV referred to Simpang Kawat Public Health Center, only 222 individuals (66.2%) regularly adhere to ARV treatment. This study aims to identify the determinants of ARV adherence among PLHIV at Simpang Kawat Public Health Center, Jambi City, in 2024. The research was conducted from April to June 2024 with a sample of 63 individuals. Univariate and bivariate data analyses revealed significant relationships between ARV knowledge, family support, side effects, comorbidities, and the length of therapy with ARV adherence. However, age, gender, and education level were not significantly associated. These findings highlight the importance of more targeted education and social support approaches to improve PLHIV adherence. A holistic approach to addressing medication side effects and increasing family involvement will support the long-term success of the therapy.

Abstract

The performance of nurses at RSUD H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti Jambi City is still not optimal. Based on nurse performance recapitulation data from January to December 2023, the achievement of nurse performance has not been maximally realised, with the expected target being 100% of nurses having excellent performance, but in reality it has not been achieved. This decline in performance can affect the level of patient and family satisfaction, as well as the quality of hospital services. This study aims to analyse the influence of individual, psychological, and organisational factors on nurse performance at H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti Hospital, Jambi City in 2024. This study used a quantitative method with a Cross Sectional design and involved 33 nurses selected using the Total Sampling technique. The results showed that factors such as tenure, attitude, motivation, leadership, and rewards had a significant relationship with nurses' performance, while age and gender showed no significant relationship. Of all the factors, motivation is the most dominant factor affecting nurses' performance. Therefore, it is important for hospitals to pay attention to strengthening nurses‘ motivation and positive attitude through the development of supportive programmes, such as more structured training and rewards, as well as effective leadership, to ensure nurses’ performance can be continuously improved in line with better service quality.

Abstract

The National Health Insurance is a mechanism designed to protect individuals and families in providing health services to their citizens, especially the poor, in order to reduce financial barriers to obtaining health services. It is known that Non-PBI Mandiri participants who have been late paying premiums for at least six months show that 70.5% of respondents register as BPJS participants on the grounds that they need health financing guarantees in the near future, either on their own or according to directions from doctors or paramedics. Therefore, the aim of this research is to look at the pattern of health financing utilization in the era of National Health Insurance (JKN) for non-PBI participants at H.Abdul Manap Hospital. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data were obtained from 9 informants by conducting in-depth interviews at H.Abdul Manap Hospital with qualitative data analysis. The results of this study (1) Psychological factors found a pattern of moral hazard phenomena with a tiered referral system, because there was a tendency to use BPJS membership benefits only to finance expensive or high-cost health services identified in research informants, (2) Personal factors found an alleatory pattern , because they feel they have benefited from the sustainability of the program and there are differences in understanding from the demand side.
