Poor waste management can result in chemical exposure and health issues. With a %age of 42.63 %, Kerinci district is the district in Jambi province with the largest number of river trash disposals, while Penawar Village is the village with the highest number of river waste disposals. This study aims to investigate waste management training effectiveness on community behaviour in household waste to reduce the waste number into the river in Penawar village, Kerinci Regency. This research is a quasi-experimental study employing a pretest-posttest design group with a research sample of 46 houses and simple random sampling. The results showed that before the intervention, the majority of housewives' knowledge was lacking (34.8%), the majority attitude was negative (69.6%) and the majority action was poor (71.7%). After the implementation of the Household Waste Management Training, the majority of housewives' knowledge was good (89.1%), positive attitude (100%) and majority action was good (73.9%). Compared before intervention. The application of the training proved to be effective in increasing household waste management behavior with (p) < 0.05. Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an acute viral-febrile disease, often characterized by headache, bone or joint pain and muscle, and rash as a symptom. In Indonesia in 2011 there were 65,432 cases with 595 deaths. East Java Province has determined outbreaks of DHF since 2015 in 37 districts / cities, with a total of 3,136 cases of dengue fever and 52 deaths. Pasuruan Regency is one of Kabupeten in East Java with the highest death rate from DHF compared to other regencies or cities, which is 28 people in 2020. There are many factors that can affect, pray the only environment and vector. The purpose of this research is to see the relationship of environmental factors and vector with the incidence of DBD in Pasuruan Regency. This research is an observational research with case control design. The sample in this research were 76 respondents consisting of 38 case groups and 38 control groups representing from 3 sub-districts in Pasuruan Regency (Gempol, Beji and Kraton Sub-district). Data analysis with Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between water pH in house (p = 0.005, OR = 5,343), indoor air temperature (p = 0.046, OR = 3,221), air humidity in house (p = 0.049, OR = 3,923) and presence of larvae (p = 0.037, OR = 3.032) with the incidence of DHF in Pasuruan Regency. The most influential factor in increasing the risk of DHF incidence in Pasuruan Regency is the pH of water, the temperature inside the house and the presence of larvae around the house. It needs cross-sector cooperation to pay attention to the condition of environmental sanitation so it will not be a good place for Ae mosquito development. aegypti. Providing counseling to people who focus on the source of the problem, and the community in order to prevent the occurrence of transmission of DHF by breaking the chain of transmission.

Abstract

The National Health Insurance is a mechanism designed to protect individuals and families in providing health services to their citizens, especially the poor, in order to reduce financial barriers to obtaining health services. It is known that Non-PBI Mandiri participants who have been late paying premiums for at least six months show that 70.5% of respondents register as BPJS participants on the grounds that they need health financing guarantees in the near future, either on their own or according to directions from doctors or paramedics. Therefore, the aim of this research is to look at the pattern of health financing utilization in the era of National Health Insurance (JKN) for non-PBI participants at H.Abdul Manap Hospital. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data were obtained from 9 informants by conducting in-depth interviews at H.Abdul Manap Hospital with qualitative data analysis. The results of this study (1) Psychological factors found a pattern of moral hazard phenomena with a tiered referral system, because there was a tendency to use BPJS membership benefits only to finance expensive or high-cost health services identified in research informants, (2) Personal factors found an alleatory pattern , because they feel they have benefited from the sustainability of the program and there are differences in understanding from the demand side.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Waste remains a complex problem as it impacts various aspects, including environmental and health issues. Communities that still dispose of waste improperly and let it decompose create unpleasant odors and can become transmission media for vector animals and pests such as flies that carry disease agents like microorganisms, bacteria, and parasites causing diarrhea and intestinal worms. Data from the National Waste Management Information System shows that the amount of waste generated in Jambi Province in 2022 was 352,484.44 tons/year or 965.71 tons/day. Jambi City has become the district/city with the highest amount of waste generation among other districts/cities, amounting to 159,688.01 tons/year or 437.50 tons/day. This study aims to analyze and explore in-depth information about waste management, community participation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and waste management models that can be implemented in the community. This research is qualitative with a case study approach. Conducted from May to November 2024, the informants in this study were local community members in Kenali Besar sub-district, consisting of 25 community members and RT (Neighborhood Unit) heads representing each RT in the sub-district. Residential waste management in Kenali Besar Sub-district, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City is still inadequate, with no processing and sorting systems in place, no official temporary waste disposal sites (TPS), waste containment limited to plastic bags and cardboard boxes, and waste management regulations and programs not functioning as intended. Given the importance of improving residential waste management as a preventive measure against various environmentally-induced diseases, the researchers recommend implementing waste management using a modified Four-D Model (4-D Models), which is expected to address residential waste management issues in Kenali Besar Sub-district, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City. Keywords: Waste, Four-D Model, Temporary Waste Disposal Site, Waste Management  ABSTRAK Sampah masih menjadi permasalahan yang kompleks karena berdampak pada banyak pihak diantaranya masalah lingkungan dan kesehatan.
