Abstract

Stunting is a serious public health problem in many developing countries, including Indonesia. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the "Gebyar Pekan Kesehatan" program to prevent stunting in Sengkati Baru village. The research method used is a communication intervention study, involving the active participation of the local community. Data were collected through pre-questionnaire surveys and anthropometric measurements on children under five. This research shows a significant reduction in stunting rates and an increase in public awareness about balanced nutrition. The "Gebyar Pekan Kesehatan" program has been proven effective in preventing stunting in Sengkati Baru village and has the potential to be adopted in other areas that face.

Abstract

Unmet need for family planning is a couple of childbearing age who do not want children, want children with a distance of 2 but do not use contraception. The Sulanjana Village has the highest unmet need for KB rating in East Jambi at 38.40%. The study aims to determine the relationship between age, education, employment status, income, and attitudes towards family planning, with the incidence of unmet need for family planning in couples of childbearing age in Sulanjana Village, East Jambi District, Jambi City in 2023This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 78 respondents taken using accidental sampling technique. The sample is married women of childbearing age aged 19-49 years. data collection was carried out February-March 2023 by interviewing using a questionnaire. Data processing was performed univariately and bivariately using the SPSS chi-square test. the results of the analysis show a relationship between income (P-value=0.024), and attitude (P-value=0.010), while the variables are age (P-value=0.820), education (P-value=1.000), occupation (P-value= 634) there is no relationship with the incidence of unmet need for family planning in couples of childbearing age in the Sulanjana Village, DistrictEast Jambi Jambi City.to increase knowledge, attitudes in socializing and educating the community regarding the importance of participating in family planning programs and using contraceptives, not only wives but husbands also participate.

Abstract

Work fatigue is a problem that must be prioritized, work fatigue is the second contributor to the number of work accidents after traffic accidents. The high number of informal workers allows high accidents in the workplace.The purpose of this study is to discuss the factors that influence fatigue in informal sector workers. This research is a descriptive study with a systematic review method. The literature search strategy uses a prism flow chart, and inclusion and exclusion criteria. The databases used include: PubMed, DOAJ, Science Direct, Taylor and Francis, and Google Scholar. Of the 25 articles, all of them used cross-sectional research. The average type of informal work obtained from the 25 articles is labor. Overall, the journal articles obtained discuss the factors that affect work fatigue in informal sector workers. Age, nutritional status, workload were found to affect work fatigue in informal sector workers. Meanwhile, working period, working hours and work environment were not found to be related to the incidence of CTS in informal sector workers.

Abstract

Jambi City 40.5% of diseases are caused by work activities and musculoskeletal complaints, including the 10 largest diseases. Low back pain is a muscelusceletal complaint that is often suffered. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between work posture and individual factors with complaints of low back pain in brick-making workers in the South Jambi District. This type of research was an observasional research with a cross sectional design. The population of this study were all workers in the small brick-making industry in South Jambi District, Jambi City. The number of samples was 66 workers who were taken by proportional random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed with the chi-square test. Workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 7 must implement changes as quickly as possible as many as 10 workers (15.2%), workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 5-6 must carry out investigations and immediate improvements as many as 17 workers (25.8) , Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 3-4 may need a change of 21 workers (31.8%), Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 1-2 good work postures and can be accepted as many as 18 workers (27.3% ). Workers as many as 50 workers (75.8%) and 17 people (25 , 8%) have an abnormal BMI and are at risk. The factors associated with pain relief under work posture obtained p-value: 0.054 (˃0.05) with a PR value: 1.768 (95% CI: 0.961-3.253), age obtained p- value: 0.014 (< 0, 05) with PR value: 2,240 (95% CI: 1,059-4,738) and BMI obtained p-value: 0,322 (˃0,05) with PR value: 1,237 (95% CI: 0835-1,826). There were relationship between work posture and complaints of low back pain in workers, but there is no close relationship between BMI and complaints of low back pain in brick-making workers in The South Jambi District.

Abstract

Hypertension in pregnant women is a factor in the occurrence of illness and death in the mothers or fetus. The causes of hypertension during pregnancy are influenced by various factors including maternal age, family history of hypertension, obesity, physical activity and parity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with hypertension in pregnant women at Sukarejo Public Health Center, Tanjung Jabung Barat District. The design of the research was Cross Sectional. The population was all pregnant women in Sukarejo Village, Tanjab Barat Regency with a sample of 71 pregnant women (total sampling). The independent variables are maternal age, maternal occupation, parity, family history of hypertension, food consumption patterns and physical activity. Data collection was carried out by interview using questionnaires and measurements. The data obtained were analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test. The proportion of hypertension in pregnant women is 54.9%. The proportion of mothers who had a family history of hypertension among pregnant women with hypertension was 86.2%, the proportion of poor food consumption patterns among pregnant women with hypertension was 69.7% and the proportion of active mothers in pregnant women with hypertension was 87.5%. Statistical analysis showed a relationship between family history of hypertension (p = 0.000, PR = 2.58), diet (p = 0.036, PR = 1.65) and physical activity (p = 0.000, PR = 0.43) with hypertension in pregnant women. The dominant cause of hypertension in pregnant women is a family history of hypertension. Pregnant women need to always check blood pressure and pregnancy checks so that they can detect early signs of hypertension.

Abstract

Disease (acute respiratory infection) Ari is one type of Environmental-based infectious diseases. In Indonesia, cases of Ari always ranks first cause of infant mortality and the prevalence of Ari disease in Jambi province amounted to 3.2% and in Tanjung Jabung Timur amounted to 4.44%. ISPA in East Tanjung Jabung regency is a disease trend every year. In general, the risk factors for ARI are physical environmental factors, host/host factors, agent factors and social environmental factors. The type of research used is quantitative research with cross sectional design. This study aims to find the relationship between the variable occupancy density, floor type, wall type, ceiling of the house, lighting, smoking family members, maternal knowledge with the incidence of ARI in toddlers. The population in this study were toddlers in the Working Area of the Simpang Pandan Health Center and the sample of this study was 103. Sampling technique in this study using Stratified Random Sampling technique. How data collection is done by interviews, observations, and measurements using tools. The results showed that there is a relationship between : occupancy density (P - value=0.003 and PR = 1.976), floor type (p= 0.014 and PR = 1.874), wall type (p=0.020 and PR = 1.852) lighting (p=0.018 and PR = 1.790), smoking family members (p= 0.020 and PR = 1.852 ) and maternal knowledge (P-value=0.035 and PR = 1.678) with acute respiratory infections in toddlers. While the variables that are not related to the incidence of ARI in this study is the variable ceiling of the House (p-value = 0.968 and PR = 1.080). It is recommended that family members do not smoke in the house, pay attention to the residential density of the House, home lighting, and the type of floor in the House.

Abstract

The increase in the incidence of COVID-19 has caused quite a bad impact on the whole world in various complex fields. The incidence of COVID-19 cases is high and the case fatality rate (CFR) is high in the world, nationally and in Jambi province and the incidence of COVID-19 cases is high even in Puskemas Paal V also has a fairly high CFR rate. The purpose of this study was to determine risk factors based on the application of health protocols for the occurrence of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the working area of the Paal V Health Center in Jambi city in 2021. This type of research is analytical and uses a case control study design with a large sample in this study as many as 82 respondents with a ratio of 1:1 so that 41 respondents for the case Group and 41 respondents for the control group using simple random sampling from COVID-19 case data in January-February. It was found that respondents who sometimes avoid crowds (OR: 6.86 95% CI 0.79-59.76) and reduce mobility (OR: 8.24 0.96-70.31) are at high risk of Covid-19. It is necessary to try to keep implementing health protocols while outside the home, especially using masks and limiting official (domestic) travel, especially in groups aged 18-40 years.

Abstract

Unmet need keluarga berencana merupakan kondisi ketika pasangan usia subur (PUS) yang ingin menunda atau menghentikan kehamilan tetapi tidak menggunakan metode kontrasepsi apapun. Fenomena ini masih menjadi tantangan penting bagi keberhasilan program keluarga berencana dan merupakan indikator penting adanya kesenjangan dalam layanan kesehatan reproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi determinan yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian unmet need di Kecamatan Jambi Timur, Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 1.739 PUS dengan sampel diperoleh menggunakan Lemeshow untuk populasi diketehui berjumlah 101 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara jumlah anak yang masih hidup (p=0.019), pendidikan ibu (p=0.001), peran petugas KB (p=0.004), pengetahuan tentang KB (p=0.006), dukungan suami tentang KB (p=0.003) dengan kejadian unmet need KB. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara usia ibu (p=0.313), akses layanan KB (p=0.202), status pekerjaan ibu (p=0.155) dengan kejadian unmet need KB. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa terdapat hubungan antara jumlah anak yang masih hidup, pendidikan ibu, peran petugas KB, pengetahuan tentang KB, dukungan suami tentang KB dengan kejadian unmet need KB. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara usia ibu, akses layanan KB, status pekerjaan ibu dengan kejadian unmet need KB.

Abstract

Behavior Based Safety (BBS) merupakan pendekatan keselamatan kerja yang menitikberatkan pada perubahan perilaku pekerja untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Penerapan BBS menjadi salah satu strategi penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan menurunkan tingkat unsafe action dan unsafe condition. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan Behavior Based Safety pada pekerja di PT. XYZ Jambi, dengan menyoroti aspek partisipasi karyawan, intervensi, umpan balik, dan dukungan manajemen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD) terhadap 33 informan yang terdiri dari informan kunci, utama, dan pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan secara manual dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi, dan validitas data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan BBS di PT. XYZ Jambi sudah berjalan cukup baik. Partisipasi karyawan tampak dalam penggunaan APD, pelaporan melalui sistem PEKA, dan pelatihan BST. Intervensi dilakukan secara sistematis melalui pelatihan K3, kampanye keselamatan, dan pemasangan rambu keselamatan. Umpan balik berupa reward dan punishment sudah diterapkan meskipun pemberian reward belum optimal. Dukungan manajemen mencakup kebijakan K3, penyediaan APD, pelatihan rutin, dan pengawasan melalui MWT dan patroli keselamatan. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa penerapan Behavior Based Safety di PT. XYZ Jambi telah terlaksana dengan baik, ditandai dengan keterlibatan aktif karyawan, pelaksanaan program K3, dan dukungan dari manajemen puncak.
