Abstract

The Ability To Solve need to be improved, therefore learning must be interesting and fud. One day to improve student,s ability is through The Formation of Study Group Based On Sociometry. The research aims to know the learning process, improve the ability, and influence The Formation of Study Group Based On Sociometry in Solve stories In Mathematics. This research is Classroom Action Research. This subject in this research is the students of grade eight F SMPN 4 Kuningan. Semester II schools year 2016/2017. The sum of the student geometry grade eight Fare thirty-six students. This research is collaborative between researcher, headmaster and subject teacher. Data were collected through observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is checked by triangulation. The data were analyzed descriptively, qualitative flow model. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the ability of children through The Formation of Study Group Based On Sosiometry. Namely the improvement of student,s skill in solving the story of cycle I as big 80.00 %. The improvement of student,s skill in solving the story of cycle II as big 90.32 %. And the improvement of student,s skill in solving the story of cycle III as big 97.22 %. The conclusion of this study is The Formation of Study Group Based On Sociometry can improve the ability to solve math story problems

Abstract

Dewi Nuraeni (NIM 123223005), Aplication of Reciprocal Teaching learning Critical Thinking Skills of mathematical Student SMP, Mathematics Education Program, 2016, 366 pages. This study aims to determine (1) what critical thinking skills that derive mathematical study of mathematics by reciprocal teaching-learning approach is better than students who received conventional learning, (2) what there is an increase in critical thinking skills in students who obtain a mathematical study of mathematics by teaching reciprocal learning approach, (3) how the students response reciprocal-teaching learning approach to improving the critical thingking ability of students mathematical. The research method that used in this study is quasi eksperimental method by using the design research non equivalent control group design. The population in this study is eighth grade student of SMPN 1 Lebakwangi 2015/2016. By using the method of purposive sampling, obtained two samples of the VIII-A as experimental class and VIII-B as sample class. The instrument used to determine the mathematics learning achievment is a form of assay test, while to know the students' responses to learning using reciprocal teaching approach used questionnaire

Abstract

The type of this research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) designed through Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning method with scientific approach to improving the students’ achievement in learning mathematics. The subject of this research are students in VIII B of SMP N 9 Yogyakarta. The data collection technique used in this research is observation and test. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative description for every cycle. The results finding shows before treatment, the students that get KKM value are 29.41% and the average of achievement value only 53.24. There is improvement in the last of first cycle, the average value of first cycle post test is 74.85, the students that get KKM value are 64.71%. And the last of second cycle, the average value of first cycle post test are 75.06, the students that get KKM value are 85.29%. So the improvement of the students’ achievement in learning mathematics throught the implementation of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning method with scientific approach before treatment to the last of first cycle is 21.25 and the last of first cycle to the last of second cycle is 0.21.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth about the ability of students 'mathematical representation and its improvement using the Somantic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) learning model, and to determine students' responses to SAVI learning. This study involved the experimental class and the control class taken from class VII (Seven) MTs Mishbahul Huda Kalimanggis District 2017/2018 Academic Year. The study used a descriptive test instrument to evaluate the students' mathematical representation skills and to use students' response questionnaires to find out students' responses to the applied learning. From the results of the pretest it was found that the mean score of the ability of the mathematical representation of the control class was 15.69 while the experimental class was 14.70. Through the t test on this value it is known that the value of t count = 1.41. While the degrees of freedom of 5% and dk = 44 are known to be t table = 2.732. From these two data we know that - 2.732 <1.41 <2.732 then fulfills H0 acceptance criteria which means that both classes have the same initial representation ability. Meanwhile from the post-test results it is known that the mean representation score of the control class is 26.91 and the average score of the mathematical representation of the experimental class is 33.33. From the results of the t test on this value obtained tcount = 3.21 and t table = 2.732. From the two data, it is known that -2,732 <3,21 <2,732, then tcount is not found in the reception area H0. This means that after treatment the ability of the experimental class mathematical representation is better than the control class. From the results of the z test the N-Gain score obtained zcount = -3 and ztable = 1.71. From the two data, it is known that -3 <1.71 then thitung is in the reception area H0. This means that after the treatment increases the mathematical representation ability of the experimental class is not in the high category. In addition, from the results of the student response questionnaire, it was found that students showed a positive response to the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji langkah-langkah model pembelajaran Index Card Match berbantuan software MAPLE dan pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain kelas kontrol non-ekuivalen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan, dengan teknik purposive sampling diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel. Ciri khas dari model gabungan ini adalah siswa membuat soal sendiri beserta jawabannya di kartu yang terpisah, sehingga setelah kartu tersebut dikumpulkan dan diacak, siswa diminta menemukan soal dan jawaban yang cocok. Sedangkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan rataan kemampuan awal pemecahan masalah siswa pada kelas eksperimen sama dengan rataan kemampuan awal siswa pada kelas kontrol dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,212. Namun setelah perlakuan, terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu sebesar 3,38 dan p-value -2,563 dengan asymp.sig 0,010, penolakan untuk H0 yang artinya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol.

Abstract

Penerapan teori bilangan banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya adalah menentukan hari pasar dalam kalender tradisional.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji konsep dan kemudian dapat diterapkan dan diimplementasikan dalam perhitungan matematis sehingga dapat memfasilitasi dan mendukung aspek kehidupan di luar matematika. Konsep teori bilangan yang digunakan dalam perhitungan kalender tradisional adalah konsep modulo 7 dan modulo 5. Konsep modulo 7 digunakan untuk melihat hari dalam Kalender Masehi sedangkan modulo 5 digunakan untuk melihat hari pasar dalam Kalender Tradisional.

Abstract

The learning process that is carried out optimally is a learning process that involves students actively. One of the learning approaches that can actively involve students is the contextual approach or Contextual Teaching & Learning (CTL). This qualitative research aims to determine students' activities during the implementation of CTL principles with GeoGebra assisted in a cartesius coordinate system at SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. The subjects were four students of VIII.3 SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. Data was collected online using observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, & analyzed descriptively. From this research, it is concluded that the principles of CTL that appear in GeoGebra-assisted mathematics learning were constructivism, inquiry, modeling, authentic assessment, & learning community. Then the CTL principles that rarely appear during learning were questioning, & reflection.

Abstract

Most prior studies on mathematical literacy (ML), self-regulated learning (SRL), and RME-based blended learning were carried out qualitatively. Therefore, it was necessary to test them with statistical inference. This study aimed to analyze the interaction between RME-based blended learning, conventional learning, and SRL in improving students' ML. The method used was quasi-experimental with a 2x2 factorial design. The population was students in grade 7 with a sample of 38 students (21 males and 17 females). RME-based blended learning was conducted in the experiment class, while conventional learning was in the control class. Self-regulated learning and mathematical literacy data were obtained from the questionnaire and test, respectively. Data were analyzed using the Adjusted Rank Transform Test with Two-Way ANOVA and Mann-Whitney U test. The result showed an interaction between RME-based blended learning, conventional learning, and SRL towards students' ML improvement. Students' ML improvement who received RME-based blended learning was higher than those who received conventional learning regarding the high level of SRL and vice versa at the low level. Furthermore, students' ML improvement with high SRL was slightly higher than those with low SRL after receiving RME-based blended learning and vice versa after getting conventional learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penyimpangan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menggunakan media sosial selama pembelajaran matematika di pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pendekatan analisis studi literatur. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat banyak penyimpangan yang dilakukan siswa, seperti membuka media sosial saat dalam proses pembelajaran, rendahnya minat belajar siswa karena kecanduan media sosial, dan lain-lain.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a class action research (CAR) with research subject of student of semester 3 of mathematics education of STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan. This study aims to determine the implementation of peer teaching method (peer tutoring) in the subjects of Kapita Selekta Mathematics for Junior High Schooll students of third semester of STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan to improve students' understanding of the lattice national test about the mathematics of junior high school. In the pre test the average score achieved was 59.17, the students understanding about the lattice about the mathematics of junior high school at the time of pre test of 66.67 including good criteria and 33.33% including enough criteria. In post test cycle I average value is 75,83, student understanding about lattice about mathematics of junior high school at post test cycle I as much 66,67 including criteria very good and 33,33% including good criterion. In post test cycle II average value is 75,83, student understanding about lattice about UN mathematics junior high school at post test cycle as much as 66,67 including criteria very good and 33,33% including good criterion. The average increase that occurred from pre-test to post-test cycle II that is equal to 16,67 or equal to 28,17%. Keyword: CAR, peer teaching, understanding math.
