Abstract

Penerapan teori bilangan banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya adalah menentukan hari pasar dalam kalender tradisional.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji konsep dan kemudian dapat diterapkan dan diimplementasikan dalam perhitungan matematis sehingga dapat memfasilitasi dan mendukung aspek kehidupan di luar matematika. Konsep teori bilangan yang digunakan dalam perhitungan kalender tradisional adalah konsep modulo 7 dan modulo 5. Konsep modulo 7 digunakan untuk melihat hari dalam Kalender Masehi sedangkan modulo 5 digunakan untuk melihat hari pasar dalam Kalender Tradisional.

Abstract

The learning process that is carried out optimally is a learning process that involves students actively. One of the learning approaches that can actively involve students is the contextual approach or Contextual Teaching & Learning (CTL). This qualitative research aims to determine students' activities during the implementation of CTL principles with GeoGebra assisted in a cartesius coordinate system at SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. The subjects were four students of VIII.3 SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. Data was collected online using observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, & analyzed descriptively. From this research, it is concluded that the principles of CTL that appear in GeoGebra-assisted mathematics learning were constructivism, inquiry, modeling, authentic assessment, & learning community. Then the CTL principles that rarely appear during learning were questioning, & reflection.

Abstract

The 21st century demands educational approaches that align with technological advancements and societal needs. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) integrates multiple disciplines to foster critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration in solving real-world problems. This study aims to explore ninth-grade students' perceptions of STEAM-based mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 13 Palembang. A mixed-method approach was employed, involving 94 students aged 13–15 years through questionnaires and unstructured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using Likert scale scoring, while qualitative data were assessed descriptively. Results indicate that students generally understand the concept of STEAM but lack clarity regarding its learning models, benefits, and assessment techniques. Most students (70.68%) perceived STEAM-based mathematics learning positively, finding it engaging, beneficial for understanding and retaining concepts, and motivating for further learning. Additionally, integrating technology and arts in mathematics increased student interest and participation. The study concludes that STEAM-based learning can enhance the effectiveness of mathematics education by creating a more interactive and meaningful experience for students. This approach equips students with essential 21st-century skills, making it a relevant strategy for future educational practices. Further studies are recommended to assess its long-term impact on student achievement and engagement.

Abstract

Background: Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is one of the abilities that needs to be mastered by teachers and owned by students in dealing with daily life problems. In addition, research results show that the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can make a positive contribution to learning. However, in reality, students' HOTS in the partner school, SMPIT Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga, is still low. This is because teachers have not fully understood and mastered the skills in designing learning and HOTS questions. This community service aims to improve teachers' knowledge and skills in developing HOTS questions and innovative learning with AI. Method: The method used includes several stages, namely location review, preparation, socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, evaluation, and follow-up. Results: The results showed that there was an increase of about 35% in the number of participants who understood HOTS and AI and an 85% increase in the number of participants who were able to use AI in developing HOTS lessons and questions. Conclusions: The success of this program is not only seen from the increase in students' critical thinking skills and creativity, but also from changes in learning methods that are more innovative and technology-based at SMPITRU Sakatiga.

Abstract

This study focused on developing student worksheet (SW) based on philosophy on the topic of matrix operations, including an overview of its effect on students' conceptual understanding abilities of grade XI at Senior High School (SMA in Bahasa) IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. It discussed how the student worksheet produced could be valid, practical, and had potential effects. The method used was development research consisting of preliminary, prototyping and assessment phase stages. This student worksheet consisted of the history of the matrix (ontology), matrix operation procedures (epistemology) and implementation of the matrix (axiology). The results showed that the validity of the student worksheet amounted to 84.1% with a valid category and could be used with minor revisions. The practicality score at the small group stage was 87.8% with a very practical category. Statistical results showed that there was an increase in the average score of a significant test result of 59.06. This showed that there was a positive effect from the use of philosophy-based SW on students' conceptual understanding. Based on these results, the philosophy-based student worksheet developed was categorized as valid, practical, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding ability on matrix material. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to apply worked example-based learning as an effort to improve the representation ability of junior high school students. This research is a quasi-experiment study with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa, Banyuasin, South of Sumatera, with a purposive sampling technique taken two classes as the sample. Samples on select from is student in class VIII.3 were used as experiment class, and class VIII.4 used as a control class. The instrument that used in this research is a mathematical representation test. The validation of this instrument was carried out by an expert review. Analysis the data using t-test with independent samples test. From the results of data analysis show the average final ability of students' mathematical representations in the experimental class was the same as the average final ability of students in the control class with Asymp.Sig (1-tailed) = 0.086. But, the average value of the post-test in the experimental class was 60, and the average value of the post-test in the control class was 53.13. Its meaning that the average test score of students' mathematical representation abilities in the experimental class was higher than the average ability test score mathematical representation of students in the control class

Abstract

Abstract: Education is the primary foundation for the holistic development of Indonesians. This article aims to identify the targets of character education in the context of the Indonesian nation in a more targeted manner. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review and analysis of character education policies in Indonesia. The results show that the targets of character education include not only students but also educators, parents, the community, leaders, the media, and the business world. Each group has a specific role in instilling character values in accordance with the values of Pancasila and the needs of the 21st century. These findings emphasize the importance of a collaborative, cross-sectoral approach in implementing sustainable and holistic education. This article provides contextual contributions to broaden understanding of multi-actor involvement in national character education.Abstrak: Pendidikan karakter merupakan fondasi utama dalam pembangunan manusia Indonesia seutuhnya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sasaran pendidikan karakter dalam konteks bangsa Indonesia secara lebih terarah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi literatur dan analisis kebijakan pendidikan karakter di Indonesia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sasaran pendidikan karakter mencakup tidak hanya peserta didik, tetapi juga pendidik, orang tua, masyarakat, pemimpin, media, dan dunia usaha. Setiap kelompok memiliki peran spesifik dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila dan kebutuhan abad ke-21. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan kolaboratif lintas sektor dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter yang berkelanjutan dan holistik. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual dalam memperluas pemahaman tentang keterlibatan multi-aktor dalam pendidikan karakter nasional.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan matematika siswa di Indonesia tergolong rendah, guru perlu menerapkan media pembelajaran yang dapat melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, yang salah satu media tersebut adalah media ajar berbasis RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) berbantuan aplikasi pixton. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media ajar berbasis RME berbantuan aplikasi pixton terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen menggunakan desain The Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group, yang dilakukan di salah satu SMP Negeri Kota Palembang. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas VIII.6 sebanyak 33 orang dan siswa kelas VIII.2 sebanyak 31 orang, dengan menggunakan instrumen tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh media ajar berbasis RME berbantuan aplikasi pixton terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Students' mathematical solving abilities in Indonesia are relatively low, teachers need to apply instructional media that can train students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, one of which is RME (Realistic Mathematics Education)-based teaching media assisted by the pixton application. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of RME-based teaching media assisted by the Pixton application on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method using The Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group design, which was conducted at one of Palembang City Public Middle Schools. The samples used were 33 students in class VIII.6 and 31 students in class VIII.2, using a test instrument. Data analysis technique using t-test with the help of SPSS. The results of the data analysis concluded that there was an influence of RME-based teaching media assisted by the pixton application on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif, bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas VIII melalui pembelajaran flipped classroom pada materi SPLDV berbantuan video animasi yang diukur menggunakan beberapa indikator kemandirian belajar. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitan ini adalah angket, observasi dan wawancara. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dan akan dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa kemandirian belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran flipped classroom pada materi SPLDV berbantuan video animasi sudah tergolong baik sebesar 81,11%, walau masih ada beberapa siswa yang kurang mandiri dari beberapa indikator. Dari masing-masing indikator yaitu indikator percaya diri sebesar 74,80% dengan kriteria baik, indikator aktif sebesar 80,04% dengan kriteria baik, indikator disiplin sebesar 90,59% dengan kriteria sangat baik, dan indikator tanggung jawab sebesar 76,01% dengan kriteria baik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan worksheet berbasis worked example sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Tahapan dalam penelitian ini ada 5 yaitu (1) Melakukan analisis produk yang dikembangkan, (2) Mengembangkan produk awal, (3) Validasi ahli dan revisi, (4) Uji coba lapangan skala kecil dan revisi produk, dan (5) Uji coba lapangan skala besar dan produk akhir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan penelitian, antara lain worksheet berbasis worked example yang dikembangkan valid menurut expert appraisal dengan rata-rata skor 3,57 skala 4. Dari uji terbatas diperoleh hasil bahwa soal tes kemampuan representasi juga valid dan reliabel. Worksheet berbasis worked example yang dikembangkan juga praktis dengan rata-rata skor 3,36 skala 4. Dan hasil rata-rata nilai representasi matematis pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Artinya worksheet berbasis worked example efektif meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Dengan begitu worksheet berbasis worked example dapat dikatakan valid, praktis dan efektif
