Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Shopping Lifestyle, Flash Sale, and Live Streaming on Impulse Buying with Positive Emotions as a mediating variable among TikTok Shop users in Malang City. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through online questionnaires from 192 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that Shopping Lifestyle and Flash Sale significantly affect Positive Emotions and Impulse Buying. However, Live Streaming was found to have no significant effect on Positive Emotions, although it has a strong direct effect on Impulse Buying. Mediation analysis revealed that Positive Emotions significantly mediate the influence of Shopping Lifestyle and Flash Sale on impulse buying, but do not mediate the effect of Live Streaming. These findings confirm the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theoretical model, in which lifestyle and price promotion stimuli are more effective at eliciting consumers' emotional aspects compared to live broadcast features that tend to be informative. Sellers are advised to package live streaming content in a more entertaining format to appeal to the viewers' emotional side.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure and Return on Assets (ROA) on stock returns, with firm size as a moderating variable, in companies listed in the LQ45 index during the 2020–2024 period. The research adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports. The sample consists of 24 firms selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that ESG disclosure and ROA have a positive and significant effect on stock returns. ROA emerges as the most dominant factor, highlighting that profitability remains a primary signal for investors in the Indonesian capital market. Firm size also has a positive effect on stock returns. In terms of moderation, firm size does not moderate the relationship between ESG disclosure and stock returns, but it strengthens the effect of ROA on stock returns. These findings suggest that profitability signals from larger firms are perceived as more credible by investors, while the impact of ESG disclosure is consistent regardless of firm size. This study contributes to the sustainable finance literature and provides practical implications for investors, corporate management, and capital market regulators.

Abstract

Effective asset management is expected to be a driving force for the Malang City Government in achieving its target of upgrading 4,000 MSMEs. Failure to manage assets properly results in waste and decreased business productivity. This community service program aims to provide business owners in Malang City with practical knowledge and skills on how to manage assets efficiently and in a structured manner. This training program aims to provide practical knowledge and skills to business actors in Malang City in managing assets efficiently and structurally. More specifically, this training can form simple and practical calculation methods that can be applied sustainably in MSMEs in Malang City. This program uses a service learning method consisting of the stages of socialization, education, training, and evaluation. In the education stage, participants were given an understanding of asset management theory supported by relevant literature so that they could apply the concepts in business. The training focused on the practical use of Excel formats for recording inventory, supplies & equipment, and fixed asset management. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests, which showed a significant improvement in asset management skills. Although this program was successful, there were obstacles such as time constraints and variations in participants' understanding of technology. This program made a scientific contribution not only by enriching the literature on the application of service learning in the context of community service, but also by offering practical solutions for using Excel in calculating the value of MSME assets. The evaluation results showed an average increase of 45% in asset management skills among female culinary entrepreneurs in Malang City after participating in the training.

Abstract

Research Originality: This study fills a gap in prior research by jointly examining Islamic financial literacy, intellectual capital, and working capital in Baznas Microfinance Desa and by testing financial performance as the mechanism through which these factors sustain microenterprises. Research Objectives: This study analyzes the determinants of microenterprise sustainability among Baznas Microfinance Desa partners in East Java, Indonesia. Research Methods: Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 285 respondents through five-point Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed with PLS-SEM. Empirical Results: Islamic financial literacy, intellectual capital, and working capital significantly enhance financial performance and microenterprise sustainability. Working capital shows the strongest contribution, while financial performance has the largest direct effect on sustainability and significantly mediates the relationships between the three determinants and sustainability. Implications: Islamic microfinance programs should prioritize working-capital management while strengthening Islamic financial literacy and capability-oriented mentoring to build intellectual capital, as these factors improve financial performance and, in turn, sustain microenterprises.
