Abstract

E-learning is one of the factors that can affect the quality and quality of training, in this case, village assistants for fishing communities. E-learning provides non-formal distance interactions to carry out learning activities by carrying out activities including obtaining learning materials, learning resources, guides or step-by-step guidance or tutorials. The purpose of this study is to present a Village Assistant information system framework for fishermen in East Nusa Tenggara Province, because there is a growing concern that fishermen need empowerment using e-module technology. Our study uses a module development research methodology with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of data analysis show that the village companion e-module has the potential to empower fishermen. empowerment e-module suggesting access to information, competence, impact; self-determination, and meaning are components of empowerment for fishermen in NTT. Improved communication, opportunities to access fishing regulations, access to health and safety information, increased confidence related to the capabilities, and opportunities for professional development of fishermen. Potential empowerment results from the use of e-learning for village assistants. Comprehensive e-learning development for fishermen empowerment, because most of the literature approaches the economic point of view of fishermen, not in an organizational setting. This study contributes by providing practical knowledge to fishermen, government, and development organizations in the empowerment process, components, and results of empowerment using e-learning

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of digital teaching materials with a collaborative learning approach using Padlet to improve students' ability to write explanatory texts. This research used research and development methods with a 4D model. The subjects of this research were Nida El-Adabi Islamic Middle School students in class VIII. Interviews, observations, and questionnaires were data collection instruments, then analyzed using percentage analysis techniques and the N-Gain effectiveness test. This research showed that the material test results obtained an average percentage of 90.9% (very feasible), and the media test results obtained 65.5% (feasible). In the assessment of one-to-one student trials, the score was 81.77%, while for small group trials, it was 88.02%. In the effectiveness test, it was found to be 81.55% (very feasible). The results of the initial writing ability assessment of the participants got a score of 75.83, and the results of the students' responses after the development got a score of 86.97. Developing digital teaching materials to improve writing skills using a collaborative learning approach using Padlet is very suitable for helping students improve their writing skills.

Abstract

This research aims to design instruction for ecosystem thematic learning with a scientific approach in fifth-grade primary school. This research used the development model of Lee and Owen (2004), consisting of the assessment, analysis, and design stages. Subjects in this research were fifth-grade primary school at SDN Pisangan Timur 11. The data was collected using observations and interviews, which showed that the learning outcomes of some students still had scores below the passing grade. In addition, the thematic ecosystem learning was not optimal; the learning media used had not helped students to understand ecosystem knowledge more deeply because it only used video support and PowerPoint from the teacher, and the learning strategies or methods used are boring too. This research concludes that learning design is possible to increase the grade of student learning outcomes. Second, the scientific approach model has the characteristics of "doing science". This approach can make it easier to improve the learning process.

Abstract

Current technological advances challenge educational institutions to create innovative learning. Therefore, one way to create innovative learning can be done by developing technology-based learning media models. This research aims to develop innovative learning in higher education using virtual reality-based instructional media through enriched virtual classroom in microteaching courses. The Integrative Learning Design Framework (ILDF) development model is used in this study. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to media and material experts from educational technology study program  to conduct product trials and in-depth interviews with five students and a microteaching lecture at Universitas Negeri Jakarta.  The result shows that the virtual reality model can be the ease and achievement of microteaching learning objectives. This research has implications for microteaching learning models for pre-service teachers so that they can provide teaching experience with minimal risk and encourage learning innovation through educational technology.

Abstract

Learning skill functions as the basic foundation to enable the students to attain good learning achievement and practice optimal self-actualization at their work places. However, in fact majority of the students have not possessed learning skills for effective remembering, planning learning schedule, effective note-taking, fast and effective reading. This research aims at producing self-study module to facilitate the students to improve their learning skill in higher education. The model applied in this research was Rowntree’s research and development. The research was conducted for 11 months as from Jan through November 2014 in The School, Education of State University of Jakarta.The research result showed the module was effective based on expert review, one to one evaluation, small group, and field trials. It could improve the students’ learning skill. The implication of this study is the module facilitates the students to learn independently and develop their learning skills so that they can achieve the expected graduate competence.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) with tutorial model, in shaping students’ sensitivity to the surrounding environment on the local content of Environmental Education which was developed to improve students’ attitudes toward the environment. If the goal of EE is concerned with changes in the attitudes, the Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Model Tutorial contains learning that can be taken to expose students to environmental problems that exist, then proceed with value clarification, the students are given the opportunity to assess the conditions, make a choice of available solution alternatives and determine the trouble shooting steps that are reinforced by increasing the sample by the CAI program. Therefore, its use is expected to counter environmental issues, particularly fundamental change of students’attitudes toward the environment. This study used employed the research and development method with evaluative models, and experimental research method that is used to produce a particular product in this case Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI).

Abstract

In the era of information and communication technology (ICT) every institution, including library, competes in integrating technology to develop and empower ICT based application in the library containing digital learning resource. This research focused on developing Digital Library as a students’ learning resource to assist them to search digital information. Applying ADDIE Model, the research took place at Curriculum and Educational Technology Program, The School of Education, The State University of Jakarta, in March – September 2012 following the steps: analysing the students’ need, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the product. The result of the development of the application database for the digital library is the the development of open source which has applied International Standard, AACR. The software is called SliMS (Senayan Library Management System). SliMS is an Open Source Software (OSS) web based and designed specifically to meet the need for library automation at small to big scales. Digital Library of Curriculum and Educational Technology Program, The School of Education, The State University of Jakarta is beneficial for the staff and students in searching references and instrucional materials.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Cisaat, Kecamatan Ciater, Subang, Jawa Barat, bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam mengelola potensi wisata desa yang meliputi perkebunan sayuran, kebun nanas, perkebunan teh, peternakan sapi perah, dan pemanfaatan kotoran sapi menjadi biogas. Program ini dirancang berdasarkan analisis situasi yang komprehensif, identifikasi masalah, serta solusi dan metode pelaksanaan yang terstruktur. Tujuan utama dari program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan potensi wisata desa yang berkelanjutan, meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam manajemen pariwisata dan promosi digital, memperkuat kelembagaan ekonomi lokal, serta mengembangkan desa wisata yang berkelanjutan dan kompetitif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi koordinasi dengan pihak terkait, persiapan alat dan materi, analisis situasi, identifikasi peserta, pelaksanaan pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi dan pelaporan kegiatan. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kesadaran dan keterampilan masyarakat, serta penguatan kelembagaan ekonomi lokal yang mendukung pengembangan desa wisata yang berkelanjutan. Dengan hasil ini, diharapkan Desa Cisaat dapat menjadi model bagi desa-desa lain dalam mengelola potensi wisata mereka secara efektif dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

Mathematics is used in various fields of social life, in the economic field it is used for buying and selling, in architecture it is used to calculate and measure so that estimates are accurate, in the field of art as a tool for calculating patterns, movements, sketches, etc. Direct experience is considered direct participation in activities that can give rise to initial reactions, visual impressions and emotional responses. Students are encouraged to acquire new real-world skills and competencies by gaining knowledge of common roles in a variety of situations, locations, and environments. This experiential learning model provides students with different learning situations in the form of participation in direct experiences designed by the teacher. This research is the initial stage of development research (R&D), therefore the research carried out is limited to needs analysis (need assessment). This research uses qualitative descriptive research conducted with a case study approach which is based on human understanding and behavior based on human opinion. This research aims to collect information regarding the needs of fifth grade elementary school students in spatial building materials. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out by interviews and distributing questionnaires via Google Forms which were distributed to 30 class VI students as respondents. The results of the research show that class V students need innovation to implement a learning model that is more effective and can provide students with learning experiences, namely the experiential learning model.

Abstract

Abstract The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) noted that East Jakarta has the highest annual waste generation in DKI Jakarta, reaching 836.9 thousand tons per year, with the largest contribution to the Bantargebang TPST of 620.96 thousand tons (27.14% of total waste) in 2021. The pandemic has changed people's consumption patterns with the increasing use of double wrapping, which adds to the problem of non-organic waste. The student council management owned by the partner school, SMP Negeri 158 East Jakarta, consists of students who have more awareness of environmental management. This activity was developed in an effort to protect the environment and generate economic value for each member. This concept of socialpreneurship takes advantage of business opportunities in the community to have a positive impact, focusing on the problem of high-economic value waste production and the marketing of plastic ore from plastic bottles that have been grouped. The solutions offered to these problems are in the form of assistance for school leaders and Adiwiyata coaches in fostering student socialpreneurship, empowering student council administrators to sort non-organic waste with high economic value using hypercontent modules, and revitalizing school waste banks with an inventory of equipment such as shredders, drop boxes, and greenhouses. This activity was carried out by involving partners through observation and FGD at SMP Negeri 158 East Jakarta and simulations at the Pok Lisa Waste Bank to understand the process of processing plastic waste that has economic value. Pandemi mengubah pola konsumsi masyarakat dengan meningkatnya penggunaan double wrapping, yang menambah masalah sampah non-organik. Pengurus OSIS yang dimiliki oleh sekolah mitra yaitu SMP Negeri 158 Jakarta Timur beranggotakan siswa-siswi yang memiliki kesadaran lebih terhadap pengelolaan lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dikembangkan dalam upaya menjaga lingkungan serta menghasilkan nilai ekonomi untuk setiap anggotanya. Konsep socialpreneurship ini memanfaatkan peluang bisnis di tengah masyarakat untuk memberi dampak positif, dengan fokus pada masalah produksi sampah bernilai ekonomi tinggi dan pemasaran bijih plastik dari botol plastik yang sudah dikelompokkan. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk permasalahan tersebut berupa pendampingan bagi pimpinan sekolah dan pembina Adiwiyata dalam menumbuhkan socialpreneurship siswa, pemberdayaan pengurus OSIS untuk memilah sampah non-organik bernilai ekonomi tinggi menggunakan modul hypercontent, serta revitalisasi bank sampah sekolah dengan inventarisasi peralatan seperti mesin pencacah, drop box, dan rumah kaca. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan mitra melalui observasi dan FGD di SMP Negeri 158 Jakarta Timur serta simulasi di Bank Sampah Pok Lisa untuk memahami proses pengolahan sampah plastik yang memiliki nilai ekonomi.
