Abstract

The system of recruiting workers in schools through special job fairs (BKK) is considered to be ineffective because the provision of job vacancies to alumni still uses information manually, such as using wall magazines as a place to post job vacancies and using social media such as Facebook as a means of information. Job opening is also considered less efficient due to limited users limited by social media itself. Registration is also done manually by alumni who come directly to BKK to register, and the vacancy data collection is still done manually, so it takes longer time to process registration data. The purpose of this research is to build a job vacancy registration system application through the BKK website based on the website to make it easier for BKK to provide job vacancy information and make it easier to recruit workers. This application development study uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. Test the app using system black box and user usability testing methods.

Abstract

Obesity, a global health challenge influenced by genetic and environmental factors, is characterized by excessive body fat that increases the risk of various diseases. With over two billion individuals affected worldwide, addressing this issue is crucial. This study investigated the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to predict obesity status using a dataset of 1,610 individuals, including demographic and anthropometric data. Four AI algorithms were analyzed: Artificial Neural Network (ANN), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling Technique (SMOTE) was applied to address dataset imbalance. The results demonstrate that SMOTE significantly enhanced the models' performance, especially in recall and F1-score for minority classes, such as obesity. Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy (92%) and recall (92%) post-SMOTE. The ANN showed substantial improvement in recall, increasing from 77% to 89%, whereas the SVM achieved the highest precision (89%), minimizing false positives. Despite these improvements, KNN remained the least effective. The findings underscore the critical role of SMOTE in improving AI model accuracy for obesity prediction and highlight Random Forest as the most reliable algorithm for clinical decision-making. Limitations, such as dataset representativeness, suggest future research directions, including expanding data diversity and advanced feature selection techniques. This study provides valuable insights into leveraging AI and preprocessing methods for obesity management.

Abstract

Students’ low learning activity and outcomes in natural sciences learning are the problem discussed in this paper. The INTERNAL model integrates Inquiry, Number Head Together, and snowball throwing. This paper uses a qualitative approach and classroom action research (CAR), which was held for four meetings. Data analysis were teacher activity sheets, students’ learning activity sheets, and students’ learning outcomes sheets. Data collection techniques were observation and writing tests. The research subjects were 32 fifth-grade students of SDN Swato 2 Tapin for the academic year 2021/2022. The indicator of the success of students’ learning activity score was 58-72, and students’ learning outcomes, which has minimum standards under 70 with a classical percentage above 80%. The research results indicate that the teacher's teaching activity at the first meeting, which achieved 54 in the good category, increased to 74 in the very good category at the fourth meeting. Students’ learning activity classically at the first meeting that achieved 25% in a highly active category increased to 83,3% with a highly active category at the fourth meeting. Students’ learning outcomes at the first meeting with 50% classical completeness increased to 100% classical completeness at the fourth meeting. It can be concluded that applying the internal learning model can improve students’ learning activities and outcomes.
