Abstract

Abstract

This community service project aims to raise ecological awareness among students of physical education and surrounding campus communities through educational initiatives rooted in outdoor physical activities and ecological ethics. The main problem faced by the target group is the lack of environmental awareness and sustainable behavior in daily life. The method employed combines training sessions, ecological physical activity simulations, and reflective group discussions based on real-world environmental cases. Data were collected through questionnaires, behavioral observations, and in-depth interviews. Indicators of success include improved understanding of ecological ethics, active participation, and behavioral changes in waste management and environmental preservation practices. The results demonstrate that activities such as nature trekking, eco-literacy exercises, and tree-planting projects significantly improved participants’ awareness and behavior towards environmental care. Data analysis revealed a strong positive correlation between experiential-based learning and the internalization of ecological values. These findings support previous studies highlighting the importance of hands-on learning in environmental education. The program contributes directly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land). Furthermore, this initiative has succeeded in building a replicable model of community-based ecological education for higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the process of community empowerment through the culinary heritage of Lenjongan Yu Sum Business. This research uses a qualitative approach in the form of a case study using empowerment theory characterized by Zimmerman to find out the community empowerment process carried out by Lenjongan Yu Sum Business. Data were obtained through observation and in-depth interviews with the third heir of Lenjongan Yu Sum Business who became the research subject, as well as literature studies related to community empowerment. The results showed that the Lenjongan Yu Sum business has carried out an empowerment process from generation to generation on a small scale involving the surrounding community by expanding social and economic relations, as well as contributing to the preservation of traditional food. This is in accordance with Zimmerman's empowerment theory which explains that the empowerment process involves various actions that enable individuals or communities to gain control over their lives and improve their quality of life. This theory focuses on two main aspects, namely processes and outcomes. In this case study, the social process is seen through the inheritance of the business and recipes from generation to generation, as well as its collaboration with raw material suppliers and the surrounding community. The result of the process is the preservation of the original recipe from the first generation to the current fourth generation, so that Lenjongan Yu Sum still maintains its authentic taste. Thus, the Lenjongan Yu Sum business has been able to empower itself as well as have an empowering impact on the surrounding community.

Abstract

Technology development is the key to the success of this era's industry. As the backbone of the country's economic growth, MSME players are required to be able to make creations and innovations in developing their businesses in order to maintain their existence. On the one hand, technological advances will help MSMEs to innovate, but on the other hand, technological advances cause MSMEs to lag behind in running their business, especially in the marketing sector if MSMEs are unable to use this technology. In the midst of the onslaught of technology and trends that are developing at this time, unfortunately not all MSME players can easily get access to learn about technological developments and trends to be applied in their business. Many MSMEs still do not know how to implement existing technology for their business development. Of course this can be a big obstacle for MSME players in the digital business era. For example, MSME players assisted by Telkom CDC (Community Development Center) are trying to switch from conventional marketing to digital marketing with social media and websites, but buyer interest is still very low because the product photos they display are so simple that they look unattractive. In food products, the photos displayed cannot make potential consumers interested in trying (cannot cause impulsive buying). From the existing problems, the purpose of this community service is to empower MSMEs in terms of technology utilization through product photo training. One introduction to digital technology that can be easily implemented to support marketing is through the application of digital marketing tools such as product photos. The result of the training provided is that MSMEs are able to maximize digital marketing carried out through social media, e-commerce and websites with attractive product photos that attract consumers to see social media from MSMEs.
