Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the financial management capacity of MSMEs in Kepuh Hamlet, Gunungkidul through participatory training. The background of this activity is based on the finding that 85% of local MSME players still mix personal and business finances, which has the potential to hamper business development. The method used is a learning by doing approach with three main stages: interactive material presentation, hands-on practice in preparing financial reports, and participatory discussion. The evaluation results showed that 90% of participants (32 people) actively participated in all activity sessions, 85% of participants (30 people) were able to correctly make simple financial records, and 80% of participants (28 people) were able to clearly distinguish between personal and business expenses. Monitoring of implementation two weeks after the training showed that 70% of participants (25 people) consistently applied the financial recording system they had learned. This activity successfully addressed the issue of MSMEs through a practical approach that was appropriate for the characteristics in Kepuh Village.

Abstract

Papua is one of the most heterogeneous regions in Indonesia, with more than 261 ethnic groups and over 250 local languages, making it a unique laboratory of multiculturalism. This diversity presents both opportunities for harmony and risks of tension, thus requiring wise strategies for management. The Community Service Program (PkM) entitled “Building Harmony in Diversity in Papua” at IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua aimed to strengthen awareness of tolerance, intercultural dialogue, and respect for both customary and religious values. The program was carried out through interactive lectures and discussions facilitated by the Head of STAKPN Sentani. The results revealed that harmony is not merely the absence of conflict but a dynamic process nurtured through justice, solidarity, and respect for differences. Discussions highlighted the role of students as agents of tolerance and religious leaders as social mediators. In conclusion, harmony in Papua can only be achieved if indigenous traditions, religious values, and inclusive education are consistently practiced as foundations of unity in diversity.

Abstract

Indonesia's diversity in ethnicity, race, religion, language, and values often leads to conflict. Social tensions rooted in group-based violence that sporadically erupt in various regions of the country highlight the fragility of the sense of unity within the Indonesian nation-state. This diversity, if well-managed, can be a blessing. However, if neglected, it can become the seed of disaster. Peace Generation Camp is an activity carried out with students of SMP Unismuh Makassar. It is one of the efforts aimed at instilling tolerance, celebrating differences, and encouraging critical thinking. The program is structured around four core themes delivered in separate sessions: God, Why Am I Different?, Blessings in Diversity, Effective Communication and Practicing Peace in Daily Life. The implementation of the program is supported by a team of student volunteers from Unismuh who serve as facilitators in group discussions and games. Through this program, students are expected to learn how to appreciate differences and become more open to diversity within their school and broader social environment.

Abstract

Drug abuse has become a national problem that has spread to rural areas, including Setanggor Village, West Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, which has experienced an increase in drug cases. The low level of legal literacy among rural communities is a major factor that exacerbates this problem, where many people do not yet understand the provisions of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics along with its criminal sanctions. Community service activities in the form of legal socialization were carried out on August 25, 2025 using lecture methods and interactive discussions with the community and village officials. This program successfully increased public understanding of the definition of narcotics, classification of groups, health impacts, and legal consequences that users and dealers can receive. The enthusiasm of participants was evident from active participation in question and answer sessions, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program in increasing public legal awareness about the dangers of narcotics and the importance of early prevention.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has opened up significant opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality in education, including exam question creation. However, the use of AI by teachers in the Muara Gembong sub-district remains very limited due to a lack of understanding and technical skills. This community service activity aimed to improve teachers' competencies in utilizing AI-based applications such as ChatGPT, Quizizz, and Google Forms to develop exam questions more variably and efficiently. The implementation method included several stages: outreach, initial surveys, module development, hands-on training, as well as mentoring and evaluation. The activity involved 15 teachers from various educational levels in the area. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in participants' understanding and skills. The results showed an increase of 10 to 20 points for the majority of participants, reflecting the effectiveness of the module and materials in enhancing their understanding of AI-based question development. The decrease in the percentage of participants scoring below average (<70) from 100% to 70% is a positive initial indicator of improved teacher competency. Despite this significant improvement, 70% of participants still scored below 70. In addition, the training successfully fostered collaborative spirit among teachers in integrating technology into the learning process. This activity demonstrates that with appropriate training and sustained support, teachers in areas with limited access to technology can effectively adopt digital innovations.

Abstract

Digital-based learning in today's era has become a necessity to improve the quality of learning. This is due to the challenges of the times that require every educational institution to continue to innovate and develop in this digital era. The large number of students choosing online programs also poses a challenge for educational institutions to create learning that is safer, more comfortable, and more flexible. Therefore, this study analyzes the impact of using e-learning platforms at the Akademi Bisnis Lombok in supporting every lecture process, both in regular and online programs. We found that the impact of using this platform is significant and positive. This can be seen from the responses of lecturers and students who feel that this platform has helped them during the lecture process. However, on the other hand, there are still several aspects that need to be developed in the future to create a platform that can support learning needs comprehensively.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is a style focused on change and the development of positive values within educational institutions. The principal, as a leader in learning, has the duty to direct all members of the school towards developing a robust religious and disciplined character. Nonetheless, observations conducted in various elementary schools in Central Lombok Regency reveal that the application of transformational leadership values remains limited, particularly concerning the principals' roles as religious role models and their discipline. This community service initiative seeks to offer transformational leadership support to elementary school principals in Central Lombok to cultivate a religious and disciplined character in school administration. The activity method is executed in four stages: (1) preparation and collaboration with the local education office, (2) training and workshops in transformational leadership, (3) direct support at schools, and (4) assessment and reflection on the outcomes of the activity. This initiative engaged 35 elementary school principals from Praya District, Central Lombok over a period of three day. The activity's outcomes demonstrated a notable improvement in the principals' comprehension of transformational leadership, their capacity to create a vision and mission rooted in religious values, and their consistency in enforcing work discipline within the school setting. Moreover, a network of key communities was established aimed at enhancing religious culture and discipline within their individual schools. This mentoring initiative showcased the success of a transformational leadership style as a character-development strategy for elementary school principals in Central Lombok. There are hopes that comparable initiatives can persistently evolve in a sustainable manner to enhance the quality of leadership and educational administration at the primary school level.

Abstract

The SMART PARENT program aims to enhance parenting skills and reduce stress among single parents in Kelurahan Ule. The main issues faced by single parents include the dual role as breadwinners and primary caregivers, leading to emotional and social stress. In addition, low financial literacy and limited knowledge of modern parenting techniques exacerbate the situation. This program was implemented through a parenting workshop that integrated evidence-based parenting training, psychosocial support, and economic empowerment through financial literacy training and microenterprise skills. The results of the training showed a 23.4% improvement in participants’ knowledge of positive parenting, a 26% reduction in stress, and an average income increase of 32.7%. The program also succeeded in creating a supportive community, reducing social isolation, and increasing solidarity among participants. This program not only improved parenting quality but also contributed to the social and economic well-being of families, supporting the achievement of relevant SDGs related to poverty and gender equality.
