Abstract

The literacy and numeracy training and mentoring program in Ogan Ilir aims to enhance the competencies of junior high school teachers in supporting the improvement of literacy and numeracy in learning recovery. This program consists of outreach activities, training, and intensive mentoring over two days designed to help teachers improve literacy and numeracy in their respective schools. As an initial step, a pretest was given to the participants to measure their initial understanding of literacy and numeracy. During the training, participants were provided with materials through interactive sessions, group discussions, and hands-on practice to design a literacy and numeracy improvement program. At the end of the training, a post-test was conducted to evaluate the improvement in participants' understanding and skills, with results showing an increase in most participants. This program concludes with monitoring and evaluation through reports and visits to schools to ensure the implementation of training results in their respective educational environments. Overall, this activity can strengthen teachers' literacy and numeracy skills in supporting learning recovery

Abstract

In the face of increasing financial complexities and digital transaction risks, a workshop and mentoring program was conducted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) in collaboration with MSU, PCIM-PCIA Malaysia, and PRIM-PRIA Malaysia to enhance financial literacy, personal branding skills, and awareness of secure online transactions. Engaging 38 participants, the program utilized an interactive learning model—comprising pre-tests, visual presentations, case simulations, group discussions, and post-tests—to cover topics such as professional identity building, Islamic financial principles to avoid riba, and strategies to counter digital fraud. The pre-test results revealed an average score of 53.2, indicating a low-to-moderate understanding, while the post-test results showed significant improvement, with an average score of 82.1. Participants demonstrated improved abilities in identifying online transaction risks, recognizing forms of riba, and applying strategic personal branding techniques. This initiative effectively addressed critical challenges in financial literacy and digital security, while also offering a replicable educational model. The outcomes contribute to fostering financially aware, digitally secure, and professionally resilient individuals, equipping them to thrive in a globalized economic and digital environment

Abstract

This training aims to train literacy and numeracy through making STEM-based learning media on renewable energy material. In addition, teachers are expected to be able to provide innovation in media making, which can be implemented in science learning. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR). Several steps are taken to achieve the set goals, namely 1) giving a pretest or initial test, 2) implementing the service, and 3) giving a final test and evaluation and reflection. This activity was attended by 30 participants who were science teachers and members of the Science MGMP. The results showed that the percentage for the pretest score with 30 participants obtained an average of 47.6%, and the posttest score obtained an average of 93.20%, for a Gain score of 87%. This value represents the interpretation of the practical improvement category. Based on the results of the questionnaire on the level of satisfaction with the implementation of the service, it can be indicated that all teachers feel delighted with the training assistance service activities. Abstract

Community Service (PkM) activities were carried out by providing training to teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah in Waitomu Hamlet-Negeri Hila. This activity aims to provide insight into the development of teacher professionalism, more specifically how deep the application of CRT in learning activities at school. This activity is expected to encourage teachers to improve their competence and motivation to become professional teachers. The activity was carried out in a structured and systematic manner in the form of providing in-depth material for teachers. The result of the community service is that subject teachers can develop learning tools based on local wisdom, namely CRT, which utilizes the surrounding environment as a learning resource. In addition, 100% of teachers like this activity, this is because there are many training activities both from the center and local governments, but CRT-based training activities are rarely delivered and are even new to teachers. The school hopes that lecturers can continue to provide assistance and training for teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah by sharing new things so that they can apply them in learning. By embracing CRT in learning, it can create an inclusive, interesting, and empowering learning experience that meets the various needs of all students and helps close the gap in learning

Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in protecting marine and coastal ecosystems and reducing the risk of natural disasters can be achieved through mangrove planting activities at Cemara Beach. Mangroves are useful in maintaining ecosystem balance, protecting the coastline from abrasion and absorbing carbon dioxide which can reduce the impact of climate change. Mangrove planting activities involve local communities in the planting and maintenance process, and contribute to improving community welfare and environmentally-based economic development. Mangrove planting activities use seedlings aged 3 to 6 months. Mangrove planting is in a location with a water depth of 10 to 50 cm. The size of the mangrove seedlings planted is 15 to 30 cm. The type of mangrove planted at Cemara Beach is Rhizophora. Mangrove planting activities support SDGs 13, 14, dan 15 tentang climate action, life below water, and life on land.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, including in job creation, improving people's welfare, and strengthening the national economic structure. One effective solution to address these challenges is through training on cost of goods produced (COGS) calculation and selling price determination. This study focuses on the training provided to MSMEs in Alai Village, with the aim of improving the understanding of business actors regarding the components of COGS and effective selling price setting strategies. The method used in this research is the field practice method which goes through three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results showed that participants gained better knowledge about COGS calculations and were able to set competitive selling prices, thereby increasing operational efficiency and profit margins. This was proven when researchers conducted periodic research at 2 stages, namely before the presentation of the material (pretest) and after the presentation of the material (posttest). Thus, this training makes a positive contribution to business sustainability and the economic welfare of local communities, increases the competitiveness of MSMEs, and has a positive impact on local economic growth
