Abstract

The problem of waste is one of the problems that has become a concern for various parties, it cannot be denied that every day there must be waste that must be disposed of, both from industry and from households in the form of solid or liquid waste plastic or in the form of other waste. Discussion of waste processing has been around for years, in line with the increasingly developing industry and increasingly dense housing. Population growth accompanied by the high flow of urbanization to cities as a result of modernization, has led to an increasing volume of waste that must be managed every day Purwodinatan sub-district is part of the sub-districts that participate in the management of waste banks, however, it is felt that waste banks still need to be given an understanding of improving management maximally within the management system. On this occasion, activities for the community focused on providing insight and knowledge of waste bank management with Green Skill Training management that regulates administration with the aim of administratively managing waste banks better. The activity was carried out by providing material in a seminar forum attended by waste bank managers from the RW001 management consisting of five RTs, each represented by three people: the Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary. This community service activity can increase insight and knowledge not only for waste bank managers but also encourage community participation in waste bank activities.

Abstract

Accurate periapical lesion diagnosis represents a significant clinical challenge for dentists, particularly in primary care clinics with limited access to Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems. This Community Service (PKM) program aims to train dental medical personnel in using an AI-based periapical lesion detection system integrating CNN–LSTM architecture with Retinex image enhancement. The program was conducted at Primary Dental Clinics in the City Region over three months (October–December 2024), involving 32 dentists and 8 radiographers. Methods included socialization, intensive workshops, clinical case simulations, and technical mentoring. Evaluation results showed an average competency score increase of 34.7% (from 61.2 to 82.4 out of 100), with 87.5% of participants successfully operating the system independently. Participant satisfaction reached 89.1% (very satisfied category). The implemented AI system achieved periapical lesion detection accuracy of 98.4% with 97% recall, far exceeding manual diagnosis sensitivity averages of 70–85%. This PKM demonstrates that AI diagnostic technology transfer to primary dental clinical practitioners is feasible and significantly impacts dental healthcare quality improvement

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires Vocational High School (SMK) graduates to possess competencies that are not only limited to technical skills, but also the ability to build personal branding as a provision for entering the world of work and further education. This Community Service Activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of vocational high school students in building a professional image through the preparation of a Curriculum Vitae (CV), the creation of a LinkedIn profile, and the development of a digital eduportfolio. The implementation method includes material delivery, demonstrations, direct practice, mentoring, and evaluation of participants' work results. During the activity, participants gained an understanding of the importance of professional identity in the digital era and were able to produce a CV that meets industry standards, create an informative LinkedIn account, and compile a portfolio as a medium for documenting competencies and achievements. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' knowledge, skills, and readiness to face the recruitment process and future career development. This Community Service Activity is expected to be the first step in forming vocational high school graduates who are more confident and competitive, and ready to compete in the era of digital transformation.
