Abstract

Amidst the diversity of ethnicities, cultures, and religions, conflicts often arise due to extremists who claim to possess absolute truth. Alan Race’s Tripolar Typology of Religion categorizes religious perspectives into three types: exclusivism, inclusivism, and pluralism. Rigid exclusivism frequently triggers conflicts, whereas the more open approaches of inclusivism and pluralism promote tolerance and interreligious dialogue. This research aims to describe these three typologies and introduce religious moderation as a response to existing divisions. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature review as its primary research method. Data collection techniques involve descriptive-analytic methods, including reading, understanding, reviewing, and analyzing relevant literature. The findings reveal that the typology of religion, religion itself, and globalization are deeply interconnected in shaping the contemporary religious landscape. Understanding these three concepts is essential for comprehending the dynamics of religion in the context of diversity and the challenges posed by globalization. Religion in the age of globalization faces complex issues such as extremism, radicalism, and modernization. Religious moderation emerges as a balanced response to these challenges, offering a middle ground that harmonizes the interpretation of religious texts with universal human values. A comprehensive understanding of the typology of religion, the interplay between religion and globalization, and the principles of religious moderation is crucial for fostering a more peaceful and tolerant world. By respecting differences and upholding shared human values, we can work towards creating a better future for all

Abstract

Inclusive education has become a critical focal point in the context of global educational reforms, aiming to address diverse student needs and promote social equity. This paper explores the transformation of inclusive education and its role in enhancing student social well-being amidst dynamic global changes. As the world rapidly evolves through technological advancements, socio-economic shifts, and cultural integration, education systems are challenged to adapt and provide equal opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, and other marginalized groups. The dynamic nature of these changes, however, has sparked both opportunities and controversies regarding the implementation and effectiveness of inclusive education practices. This study examines the various dimensions of inclusive education, including policy frameworks, teaching methodologies, and the socio-cultural impact on students’ well-being. It analyzes how global changes, such as the digital divide, economic disparities, and cultural globalization, influence the success of inclusive education initiatives. Furthermore, it discusses the role of inclusive education in fostering social integration, promoting empathy, and supporting the holistic development of students in diverse learning environments. The paper concludes by emphasizing the need for continuous dialogue among educators, policymakers, and communities to ensure the effective transformation of inclusive education. A comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges and embracing the potential of inclusive education is essential for enhancing the social well-being of students and achieving a more equitable and sustainable educational future in the face of global change. Keywords: Inclusive Education, Social Welfare, Educational Transformation, Equality, Diversity

Abstract

The research explores the challenges of teacher workload in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, mainly focusing on the impact of administrative tasks on teacher performance and well-being. In recent years, implementing the Merdeka Curriculum has significantly altered the teaching and administrative duties structure, creating new challenges for educators. This study examines how administrative workload affects teachers' ability to perform effectively in the classroom and influences their overall well-being. A NASA-TLX-based analysis assessed the cognitive, physical, and emotional demands placed on teachers due to administrative tasks. Data was collected through surveys and interviews with teachers across various schools implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. The findings indicate that administrative tasks are a significant source of stress, contributing to burnout and reduced teaching efficacy. Teachers reported that increased administrative workload negatively impacted their ability to focus on instructional quality and student engagement. The study concludes that while administrative tasks are necessary, they need to be better balanced to support teachers' performance and well-being. This research contributes to understanding the critical factors influencing teacher satisfaction and productivity in the Merdeka Curriculum era, highlighting the importance of addressing workload distribution to enhance educational outcomes and support teachers' mental health.
