Abstract

Sensitive issues of the mazhaban between Sunni and Shi'a are increasingly rife in filling the information space of Indonesian society, especially after the outbreak of the Syrian Civil War. In addition, Indonesian students who graduated from the city of Qom, Iran, are considered to be the newest generation of Shiites who have a mission to spread syi'ahism and are often in conflict with other groups. This paper attempts to answer the formulation of the problem, "how is the history and development of the City of Qom as a center for Shi'a school of education in Iran?" The writing methodology used is based on a qualitative approach through historical investigations by conducting documentation data collection studies. This research proves that Qom has become an important Shiite base in Persia since many Alawites (descendants of Ali bin Abi Talib) migrated in the early centuries of Islamic times. Then, between the 9th and 10th centuries, two important sites for Shi'ite pilgrimage stood, namely the Tomb of Fatima Ma'shumah and the Jamkaran Mosque. In the same range, the Fuqaha of the Early Shi'a generation lived here, namely Shaykh Shaduq and Shaykh Al-Kulaini. However, Qom's vital role strengthened in the Safavid to Qajar periods between the 16th and 19th centuries with the Feiziyeh Madrasa as its icon. Shi'ite philosophers also worked there, including Mulla Shadra and Mulla Al-Razzaq Lahiji. Although weakened in the early 20th century, Ayatollah Haeri Yazdi's role in establishing the Qom Scholars' Seminary/Seminary in 1922 marked an advance that even rivaled Najaf as a center for Shi'i education. Ayatollah Khomeini was a major figure who graduated from that school which made Qom the base of the 1979 Iranian Revolution. Until now, this city has been taken into account in Islamic education.

Abstract

The curriculum in education plays a very large role in determining a country's educational progress, from concept to application and practice in the field. The method used in this research uses analysis of literature review data collection from journals, internet media and online news media. These results are also consistent with character education theory which emphasizes the importance of moral learning in developing better individuals. A curriculum that is more oriented towards developing competencies and skills can have a positive impact on students' educational outcomes, helping them become better prepared to enter the world of work or pursue higher education. Cultivating their interests and talents has a higher level of motivation in the learning process. A curriculum designed to foster students' critical and creative souls can have a positive impact in preparing them for the challenges that exist in the real world. A curriculum that is responsive to future developments can help students become better prepared to face future challenges. Therefore, developing and implementing an effective curriculum is one of the keys to the success of a quality and relevant education system.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Effectiveness of the LPPM Institut PTIQ Jakarta in Improving the Productivity of Scientific Research for Lecturers. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative research method, employing instruments such as questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results and conclusions of this research indicate several things. First, the LPPM of PTIQ Jakarta has met the five criteria set by Gibson, namely clear objectives, well-planned programs, appropriate program development, available facilities and infrastructure, and a system of supervision and control. Second, there was a significant decrease in the number of research projects in 2022 compared to 2021. This was due to a policy change from individual research to collaborative research. Collaborative research aims to provide encouragement and motivation for lecturers who have not been involved in research activities to collaborate on research projects within their respective faculties. This step is expected to bring significant benefits. Inexperienced lecturers will have a golden opportunity to learn from experts and practitioners in their field, enhance their methodological skills, and develop the analytical abilities needed to conduct high-quality research.
