Abstract

Road infrastructure plays a vital role in supporting socio-economic mobility, yet its performance often decreases due to overloaded traffic, inadequate drainage, and limited maintenance. The Parengan–Lakardowo Road Section in Mojokerto Regency, with a total length of 5.182 km, currently experiences significant pavement deterioration that affects driving comfort and road safety. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the pavement performance of the Parengan–Lakardowo Road Section using the Provincial and Kabupaten Road Management System (PKRMS) to determine road conditions and formulate appropriate maintenance recommendations. Method: This research employed a quantitative descriptive method. Primary data were collected through field surveys, visual pavement condition assessment, damage measurement, and road inventory recording. The collected data were processed and analyzed using the PKRMS method to classify road conditions and identify maintenance priorities. Findings: The results show that the road condition varies across segments. Good condition was identified at STA 0+000–0+200, STA 0+600–1+000, STA 1+600–2+000, and STA 4+400–5+182. Lightly damaged condition was found at STA 0+200–0+600, while severely damaged condition dominated STA 1+000–1+600 and STA 2+000–4+400. The dominant pavement distresses include potholes, longitudinal cracking, alligator cracking, ravelling, and rutting. Implications:  The findings indicate that severely damaged segments require structural treatment through pavement reconstruction, supported by drainage system improvement to prevent recurring deterioration and maintain pavement service life. The study also demonstrates the importance of integrated road condition evaluation for supporting sustainable road maintenance planning. Originality/Value: The originality of this study lies in the application of PKRMS for integrated pavement condition evaluation, stripmap-based condition mapping, and data-driven maintenance prioritization on a district road section in Mojokerto Regency.

Abstract

The construction of the Tuban Ring Road Project or the so-called Ring Road/Tuban Ring Road is included in the Semanding District, located in Tuban Regency. This area is a potential road access because the road is the main access connecting the city of Tuban and the city of Lamongan. In field conditions at STA 9+050 to STA 9+075, there is land subsidence due to the additional load on the original soil. A soil improvement is needed to overcome the problem of subsidence in these conditions. Based on the conditions described, the Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) method can be used as an alternative to soil improvement on the Tuban Ring Road. So the embankment height is 1.50 m. The length of time for land subsidence without using PVD is 197.311 years. Then after using PVD, the distance and depth of PVD installation is obtained, namely a triangular pattern with an installation distance of 1 m, it takes 12.5 weeks.

Abstract

Roads include land transportation facilities that are widely used for Indonesians in traveling near or far. The growth of globalization can also have an influence on the level of mobility which has an impact on vehicle users and continues to increase. This causes the volume load of vehicles to exceed the limits of the designed road class, so that the quality and age of the pavement will continue to decrease. This research was conducted to analyze the condition of road pavement damage to damage to the Jl. Raya Papar – Jl. Raya Minggir with a length of 3 km. The method used for this research is PCI (Pavement Condition Index) with the aim of finding values based on the type, level and extent of damage to the method used and the selection of alternative treatments as a reference and road maintenance effort. The results of the research on the Jl. Raya Papar – Jl. Raya Minggiran STA 0+000 – 3+000 based on the PCI method obtains a total value of 47.6% Moderate (Fair) with the highest PCI value percentage of road conditions being 55% in Moderate road conditions (Fair), 25% in Bad road conditions (Poor), 8.3% on Good (Good) and Very Good (Very Good) road conditions, 3.4% on Very Bad (Very Poor) road conditions with alternative handling is periodic maintenance updates. Abstract

Abstract

Roads are transportation insfrastructure that include all parts of the roads, including complementary buildings and equipment intended for traffic. Surabayais located and serves as the capital of East Java Province, With a  Population reaching 3,043 milion people’s in 2025 based on data from the Surabaya City Population and Civil Registration Office. Based on this topic, it is necessary to conduct a re-evaluation be analyzing the performance of an unsignalized four-way intersection using PKJI 2023. The research location  in on Dupak Rukun Street Surabaya, Focusing on intersection performance, using the manual traffic recording survey method. After observation and data analysis, it was found that the degree of saturation (DS) in the initial calculation was 0,8566, which falls into the congested category and causes traffic jams. Then, several adjustment were made by increasing the width oh the minor approach lanes from 6 to 7 meters and the major roads form 8 to 10 and 11 meters, resulting in a DS value of 0,8133.
