Abstract

This research aims to describe the problematic and crisis of Islamic education, encompassing the issues faced by contemporary and future Islamic education, the challenges posed to Islamic education in the present and future, and alternative solutions to the issues of current and future Islamic education. The study adopts a qualitative research approach utilizing literature review (library research), with books and other literature as the main focus of the research. The literature obtained from various references is critically and comprehensively analyzed to support the propositions and ideas presented in the research.The challenges faced by contemporary Islamic education include the deterioration of the pillars of character education, the existence of Islamic educational institutions such as pesantren and madrasah that need to develop their curriculum to meet the demands of the times, among other issues. Specific challenges involve educational management aspects, where future education planning needs to encompass three fundamental aspects of society: socio, techno, and bio futures, with all implications and impacts on human life.Particularly for pesantren, there is a challenge in addressing the progress of Science and Technology (Iptek), Western culture, and unfounded accusations directed towards Islamic boarding schools. Alternative solutions proposed include a new paradigm for Islamic education based on both the theocentric and anthropocentric philosophies. Islamic education should be capable of building scholarly and progressive educational integration of spiritual, moral, and material values for human life. Additionally, Islamic education should emphasize a more flexible structure, treating students as individuals in constant development, and consistently interacting with the environment.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 memiliki ciri yaitu terjalinya hubungan antara ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Terkait pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (ICT) dalam dunia pendidikan, yang selama ini menjadi faktor penentu kecepatan dan keberhasilan pendidikan. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran abad 21 yaitu powtoon. Powtoon adalah aplikasi web yang memiliki banyak fitur menarik. Dengan adanya fitur-fitur menarik tersebut, powtoon bisa menjadi media pembelajaran yang menarik dan memotivasi peserta didik untuk belajar. Guru pun akan inovatif dalam mengemas materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi powtoon. Kegiatan pendampingan pembuatan media pembelajaran video animasi dilaksanakn di SMP, SMA, dan SMK Muhammadiyah Rappang. Metode yang dipakai dalam pendampingan yaitu observasi kondisi mitra, pendampingan pembuatan media pembelajaran video animasi dengan aplikasi powtoon, penugasan, serta evaluasi dan refleksi.

Abstract

Pariwisata merupakan salah satu potensi yang dapat meningkatan prekonomian masyarakat. Di Desa Compong memiliki potensi alam yang cukup bagus untuk dijadikan destinasi wisata yaitu air terjun Pattumba. Masalah yang diangkat dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu Pendampingan Pembuatan Video Promosi Wisata Alam Air Terjun Pattumba Desa Compong yang berbasis Digital. Tujuan pengabdian untuk pembutan video promosi wista alam air terjun Pattumba Desa Compong. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan video promosi ini yaitu obsevasi, pemecahan masalah, dokumentasi dan pembuatan video. Pelaksanaan Pembuatan video dimulai pada hari Sabtu-Ahad, 8-9 Oktober 2022. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini diharapkan wisata alam air terjun Pattumba dapat dikenal di seluruh Indonesia bahkan dunia internasional, sehingga dapat meningkatkan prekonomian masyarakat Desa Compong. Luaran pengabdian yang diharapkan yaitu video yang dapat diakses di laman Youtube https://youtu.be/V1bUczRdsTM dan diusulkan mendapatkan sertifikat HKI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan antara novel “Dia Angkasa” karya Nurwina Sari dengan film “Dia Angkasa” karya Adhe Darmastrya Sondang berdasarkan teori ekranisasi menurut Pamusuk Eneste. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur intrinsik yang mengalami perubahan selama proses adaptasi, mencakup penciutan, penambahan, dan perubahan bervariasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah novel “Dia Angkasa” karya Nurwina Sari dan film “Dia Angkasa” karya Adhe Darmastrya Sondang yang tersedia di aplikasi VIU. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pembacaan mendalam terhadap novel dan penontonan film secara menyeluruh, dilanjutkan dengan identifikasi serta koding terhadap perubahan yang ditemukan. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya 13 penciutan alur, 1 penciutan latar, dan 25 penciutan tokoh; serta penambahan 5 alur dan 2 tokoh. Tidak ditemukan penambahan latar. Selain itu, terdapat 7 perubahan bervariasi alur, 8 perubahan latar, dan 5 perubahan tokoh dan penokohan. Penciutan dan penambahan dilakukan untuk menyesuaikan durasi, sedangkan perubahan bervariasi bertujuan mempercepat ritme penceritaan dan memperkuat konflik agar pesan cerita tetap tersampaikan secara efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang bentuk penguatan pendidikan karakter bagi siswa sekolah dasar melalui kearifan lokal. Kearifan lokal adalah fenomena yang luas dan kompleks, yang memiliki keunikan dan keberagaman, serta tidak mengenal batasan ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta studi dokumentasi terkait penerapan kearifan lokal dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah dari siswa dan guru yang ada di SD Negeri 2 Baranti. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan metode Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi tiga tahap utama yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan gotong royong di SD Negeri 2 Baranti dapat menjadi sarana efektif dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter.Luaran dari penelitian ini adalah artikel ilmiah yang akan diterbitkan di jurnal, dengan harapan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

In the context of multicultural family life, language use serves not only as a means of communication but also as a reflection of the cultural values that exist within society. One form of such values is embodied in unggah-ungguh or the linguistic etiquette practiced in daily interactions. This study aims to describe the forms and patterns of Bugis language etiquette within multicultural families in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, with an emphasis on the application of the values of Sipakaraja (mutual respect) and Siri’ (a sense of shame as a means of upholding honor). The study is intended to provide an understanding of the preservation of Bugis cultural values through language practices in multicultural families, while also enriching the fields of sociolinguistics and cultural acculturation studies. The approach employed is descriptive qualitative, using Berry’s (1997) theory of acculturation as the analytical framework. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the forms of unggah-ungguh in multicultural families are reflected through traditional greetings such as “Puang” and “Daeng,” as well as other verbal and non-verbal etiquette such as the use of the polite expression “Tabe’,” soft tones of voice, and bowing gestures. The patterns vary according to the acculturation strategies adopted, such as adaptive and flexible patterns in the integration strategy, exclusive patterns in the separation strategy, and neutral or functional patterns in the marginalization strategy. This study involved data from 30 multicultural families, with integration being the most dominant acculturation strategy (21 families), followed by marginalization (7 families) and separation (2 families). The study affirms that the practice of unggah-ungguh is not merely a linguistic habit but a concrete representation of the process of acculturation and the preservation of local cultural values in cross-cultural communication.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the enhancement of teachers' social competence through a collaborative-based teacher professional education program at UMS Rappang. Social competence plays a crucial role in fostering effective communication, building positive relationships, and creating a conducive learning environment. The collaborative approach in the program involves interaction among educators, experts, and stakeholders to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices. The research adopts a qualitative methodology, analyzing data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the collaborative-based education model significantly improves teachers' interpersonal skills, adaptability, and professional relationships. These improvements ultimately contribute to a better teaching-learning process and professional growth. This study highlights the importance of collaboration in teacher training programs to develop comprehensive social competence.

Abstract

This study assesses the effectiveness of the industrial practice internship program for UMS Rappang Culinary Arts Vocational Education students using a mixed-method approach involving questionnaires, open-ended responses, and analysis of final internship reports. Findings show the program is effective to very effective,particularly in technical skills, work readiness, and the relevance of theory topractice. Qualitative data highlight meaningful experiences consistent with Kolb’s(1984) experiential learning stages and Schermerhorn & Bachrach’s (2023)organizational effectiveness theory. Secondary data support these results,indicating growth in skills, teamwork, and innovation. Recommendations includeimproving pre-internship preparation, strengthening mentoring, and enhancingcampus–industry collaboration.

Abstract

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has emerged as an effective pedagogical model in teacher professional education programs (Pendidikan Profesi Guru/PPG) to enhance problem-solving skills among students. This study examines the impact of PBL implementation in PPG on the development of problem-solving abilities in learners. Key findings indicate that PBL fosters critical thinking, collaborative learning, and independent study skills while promoting the practical application of theoretical concepts. Additionally, PBL encourages reflective practices and reduces students' dependency on teachers, enabling them to become self-reliant problem solvers. Recommendations for PPG include integrating simulation-based learning, emphasizing process-oriented assessments, and providing initial mentorship for novice teachers. The study concludes that PBL not only equips future educators with innovative teaching strategies but also positively influences students’ cognitive and social skills, making it a vital approach in modern education.

Abstract

This study explores how collaborative learning activities facilitated by university students contribute to the development of student character at SMP Muhammadiyah Pangsid. Character education has become an essential component of Indonesia’s educational goals, emphasizing values such as responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and respect. However, schools often face challenges in implementing character-building programs effectively, particularly when learning environments rely heavily on teacher-centered instruction. Using a qualitative descriptive design, this research investigates the role of university students assisting in the school’s learning process and how their involvement supports character formation among junior high school students. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers and university student assistants, and documentation of classroom activities. The findings show that collaborative learning strategies introduced by university students—such as group problem-solving, peer discussion, and project-based tasks—significantly encouraged students to practice teamwork, communication, empathy, and mutual respect. These interactions created a more supportive and participatory classroom environment, allowing students to engage more actively and develop positive behaviors. Teachers indicated that the presence of university students also enhanced students’ motivation and provided additional role models who reinforced character values through daily classroom engagement. Overall, the study demonstrates that collaborative learning facilitated through university–school partnerships can strengthen character formation in junior high school learners. The involvement of university students not only enriches instructional practices but also supports the school’s efforts to cultivate essential character traits. This research highlights the importance of experiential, interactive, and community-based approaches in promoting character education in Indonesian schools.
