Abstract

The lifestyle and dietary habits of Indonesians have undergone substantial changes, even in rural regions such as Grobogan Regency. Housewives play a crucial role in selecting and preparing meals for their families, making it essential to understand junk food consumption patterns in this demographic for improving nutritional status and preventing non-communicable diseases. This study aims to assess the correlation between junk food intake and nutritional status among housewives in rural settings. It employed an analytical observational approach with a cross-sectional design, conducted from January to February 2025. A total of 44 participants were selected using purposive sampling. Junk food consumption data were collected through the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Bivariate analysis using gamma correlation was applied to examine the relationship between the variables with a significance level of p < 0.05. The analysis indicated no statistically significant association between junk food consumption and nutritional status (p = 0.972, p > 0.05), with a very weak correlation coefficient of 0.009. The absence of a relationship may be influenced by factors such as the frequency of consumption and physical activity levels.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition characterized by a decrease in the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin levels in the blood, which can impair physiological function. This study aims to describe the erythrocyte indices in anemia patients treated at RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung. A descriptive, cross-sectional design was employed, with data obtained from patient medical records. The sample was selected using purposive sampling of patients diagnosed with anemia. The parameters analyzed included erythrocyte count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCV, MCH, and MCHC. The results showed significant variations in erythrocyte indices, potentially influenced by demographic and medical history factors. These findings are expected to enhance the understanding of anemia characteristics at RSUD Al-Ihsan and support more effective management and treatment of anemia.

Abstract

Indonesia continues to face substantial challenges in achieving food security andnutritional adequacy, with nearly 70% of its population unable to afford healthy diet and childhood stunting rates remaining above 20%. Addressing these complex, interlinked issues requires a coordinated, multisectoral response. This study critically examines the implementation of the National Nutritious Food Policy, focusing on the role of stakeholder collaboration within a proposed model that combines two collaborative perspectives, based on the cluster model and the Ansell & Gash collaborative frameworks. This has made the analysis relevant to both practical and theoretical contexts. By employing a qualitative analysis grounded in a literature review and policy analysis, the research identifies four strategic pillars essential to policy success: governance and policy management, food provision and distribution, inter-organizational collaboration and promotion, and monitoring and evaluation. The study emphasizes the need for an integrated institutional framework that aligns national priorities with local capacities, including the engagement of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), and community organizations. Findings highlight that sustained improvements in food security and public health outcomes depend on solid coordination, infrastructure development, and inclusive stakeholder participation. The study contributes to the growing discourse on collaborative governance in public policy, particularly in thecontext of national nutrition interventions. It offers practical insights for optimizing multi-actor implementation strategies in Indonesia’s food system.

Abstract

(1) Diera globalisasi, konsumsi makanan cepat saji (junkfood) semakin meningkat di berbagai kalangan usia. Junkfood ini memiliki kandungan lemak jenuh, gula, dan garam yang tinggi namun rendah nilai gizi, sehingga dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan, khususnya kadar kolesterol di dalam darah; (2) Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh mengonsumsi junkfood terhadap jumlah kadar kolesterol total terhadap pasien RSUD Al-Ihsan; (3) Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan pendekatan potong lintang (cross-sectional). Sampel dalam penelitian ini melibatkan 30 pasien yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: 15 pasien yang sering mengonsumsi junkfood dan 15 pasien yang tidak. Data konsumsi junkfood dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, sedangkan data kadar kolesterol diperoleh dari hasil pemeriksaan laboratorium. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, serta karena salah satu kelompok karena data tidak terdistribusi secara normal, analisis dilanjutkan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U;(4) Hasil: Rata-rata kadar kolesterol pada kelompok yang mengonsumsi junkfood adalah 257,2 mg/dL, sedangkan kelompok yang tidak mengonsumsi junkfood memiliki rata-rata 153,1 mg/dL. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok; (5) Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara konsumsi junkfood dan tingginya kadar kolesterol yang terdeteksi dalam darah. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi masyarakat untuk membatasi konsumsi junk food dan menerapkan pola makan sehat guna mencegah risiko penyakit tidak menular seperti hipertensi, obesitas, dan penyakit jantung.

Abstract

Keberagaman makanan menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi masalah gizi pada remaja. Konsumsi makanan dan riwayat penyakit infeksi merupakan faktor langsung yang mempengaruhi status gizi seorang remaja. Tujuan dari kegiatan adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada siswa terkait dengan pola makan yang seimbang dan cara pemilihan makanan jajanan yang sehat sehingga terhindar dari penyakit infeksi di masa pandemi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah dengan metode ceramah, penyampaian materi dan tanya jawab. Adapun hasil pengabdian diperoleh bahwa penyuluhan yang disertai dengan diskusi dengan para siswa SMP Negeri 8 Semarang berdampak positif terhadap pemahaman dan sikap siswa dalam memilih makanan jajanan yang sehat.
