Abstract

Background; Patients with postoperative femur fractures will experience limited motion in their knee function, weakness, immobility and disability as a result of limitations in caring for themselves and carrying out daily activities. This study is to determine the effect of early mobilization education on the level of independence in postoperative patients with femur fracture. Research methods; The study used a quasi-experimental design with pre and post control group design, with 36 respondents (18 experimental groups, 18 controls). Data collection using questionnaires and observation. The independent variable is early mobilization education, while the dependent variable is the level of independence. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling. The population in this study were patients with postoperative at Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta. Data analysis using independent t-test and paired t-test. Research results; There is a significant difference in the level of independence in patients before and after being given early mobilization exercises of intervention group. The results of the independent t-test on the level of independence obtained p value (0.0001) <0.05, there is a significant difference in the level of independence in patients in the control group and intervention group. Conclusion; There is an increase in independence in patients after early mobilization education, and there is a difference in the level of independence in the control group and the intervention group.

Abstract

Background: Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) is acute heart failure which is defined as a rapid onset of symptoms due to abnormal heart function. These dysfunctions include systolic and diastolic dysfunction, heart rhythm abnormalities, or preload and afterload imbalances. ADHF is a new attack without previous heart defects, or is decompensation of chronic heart failure (Chronic Heart Failure) that has been experienced previously. ADHF occurs when cardiac output cannot meet the body's metabolic needs. Objective: in this study, namely to determine the results of a literature review of the effect of therapeutic positions on hemodynamic status in ADHF patients. The method in this research is a literature review method using a literature search strategy through online media which includes searching on Google Scholar, PubMed, Research Gate, Elsevier, NCBI. Results: Based on the results of the literature review, all studies (4 studies) reviewed showed results of improvement in hemodynamic status, namely respiratory frequency, oxygen saturation (SaO2), blood pressure, heat rate, and CRT in ADHF patients who were given therapeutic position intervention: semi fowlershows increased oxygen saturation, decreased shortness of breath, stable blood pressure, hate rate, and respiratory rate. Conclusion: The therapeutic position, namely the semi fowler position, has an effect on improving the hemodynamic status of ADHF patients

Abstract

The Role of Nurses in the Rehabilitation Process for Post-Stroke Patients at RSUD dr. Moewardi surakarta Abstract Stroke is a global health issue with high morbidity and mortality rates, often resulting in long-term disability. Nurses play a crucial role in the post-stroke rehabilitation process, ranging from the acute phase to functional recovery at home. This qualitative study aims to explore and describe the role of nurses in the rehabilitation of post-stroke patients at RSUD dr. Moewardi Surakarta, as well as the factors influencing the execution of this role. The research method employed focused interviews with four experienced rehabilitation nurses. The findings indicate that nurses play an active role in rehabilitation education, family training, care coordination, implementation of physical therapy (particularly Range of Motion/ROM exercises), and monitoring and evaluating rehabilitation outcomes. Major challenges include unrealistic perceptions from patients and families, handling specific cases such as muscle contractures, and resource management. However, the use of digital technology and medical team collaboration have proven to be key factors for success. This study emphasizes the multidimensional role of nurses in improving the quality of life for post-stroke patients.
