Abstract

Evaluation is an assessment carried out to review the extent to which a program has been achieved and is also used as a consideration for the next steps. One of the evaluations (selections) recommended in the independent curriculum is a diagnostic assessment consisting of cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments. Cognitive diagnostic assessments are carried out by giving several questions to students at the beginning of learning activities. While non-cognitive diagnostic assessments are carried out in accordance with the policies or strategies of each school. Thus, this study aims to determine the implementation of non-cognitive diagnostic assessments at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This study uses a qualitative approach in descriptive form with a case study method. The data collection technique used in this study is Triangulation which consists of interviews, observations and documentation. The sampling technique used in this study is the purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the research analysis, it was found that the implementation of non-cognitive diagnostic assessments at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya was in the very good category with the help of the use of written questionnaires that must be filled out by students and supervised by teachers. This is done to make it easier for teachers to identify the needs and problems of students in implementing learning. However, there are limitations in this study, namely that the context discussed is only limited to the implementation of non-cognitive diagnostic assessments at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya so that the results cannot be generalized to other institutions because each educational institution has different policies regarding the implementation of non-cognitive diagnostic assessments.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: A big challenge for Indonesia's education world since the current Covid-19 outbreak. Especially with the existence of a learning from home circular by Kemendikbud in the emergency situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. To overcome the current condition, face-to-face learning becomes learning from home using the internet network. The main problem is when internet-based home learning cannot reach various locations in Indonesia so the learning process does not run optimally. Therefore, the role of the teacher to determine the strategy in implementing distance learning is needed. This study aims to determine the strategies of civic education teachers in implementing distance learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at PALI, South Sumatra. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with 4 civic education teachers selected according to the research objectives (purposive sampling). The results obtained were that 1) the planning strategy carried out by the civic education teacher was to design learning according to the conditions of students in the area, then socializing online learning through the school website, contacting parents and even socializing to students about online learning; 2) the tactical strategy used by civic education teachers is to make it easier for students to carry out learning with various learning media that can be accessed by all students such as Whats App or Google Classroom; 3) the pattern strategy carried out by civic education teachers is to process learning by utilizing effective learning media and approaches even though there are many obstacles faced by students and teachers. The conclusion of the research is that of the three strategies that civic education teachers do in various conditions, the teacher's planning strategy and tactics have maximized the ability to process online-based distance learning. However, in the pattern strategy to be able to carry out online-based distance learning there are obstacles and challenges given the various economic, geographic, social conditions and even technological affordability in supporting online-based distance learning at PALI, South Sumatra. Abstract

Abstract

Bosa Village is categorized as a 3T priority area (Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged), resulting in a lack of dental health facilities and limited public knowledge regarding the dangers of dental caries, as well as a lack of understanding of utilizing plants for disease prevention. Shredded green tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) are a widely available commercial product that can be utilized for dental caries prevention due to their antibacterial properties. Therefore, the objective of this community service is to educate the public on dental caries prevention, specifically through the formulation of mouthwash from steeped green tea leaves to enhance knowledge of dental health maintenance using accessible products. The method employed was the lecture method, complemented by the distribution of brochures. This was followed by a recall of the material through a Q&A session. The results showed a significant improvement in the participants' competence between the pre-test and post-test. Although participants initially lacked understanding in several aspects, there was a substantial increase in comprehension following the post-test. This improvement was evident after the community of Bosa, Hamlet II, received education on utilizing green tea leaves as a mouthwash for dental caries prevention. Consequently, the community has begun to understand the prevention and maintenance of oral health, including the use of shredded green tea leaves as an anti-caries mouthwash.

Abstract

The transformation of inclusive education policy has become a strategic issue in improving the quality of human resources and enhancing Indonesia’s global competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic and competitive environment. This study aims to analyze the transformation of inclusive education policies and their implications for improving human resource quality and national competitiveness. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, collecting data from national journal articles, academic books, and relevant policy documents, which are then analyzed systematically through content analysis. The findings reveal that although Indonesia has established a strong regulatory framework for inclusive education, its implementation still faces significant challenges, including limited human resources, inadequate infrastructure, and low public awareness of inclusive education concepts. Furthermore, the study identifies that effective policy transformation requires a systemic approach involving policy reformulation, capacity building of educators, integration of digital technology, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. The proposed policy transformation model serves as a strategic framework to bridge the gap between policy and practice. In conclusion, the transformation of inclusive education policy plays a crucial role in developing high-quality, adaptive, and globally competitive human resources, and therefore must be implemented in a sustainable and integrated manner.

Abstract

This study investigates global trends and collaboration patterns in Community-Based Learning (CBL) and Civic Engagement (CE) research in higher education between 2015 and 2025, focusing on fragmented civic engagement practices, limited student participation, and weak university–community partnerships as the central rationale. Employing a bibliometric approach, 110 Scopus-indexed publications were examined using VOSviewer and Publish or Perish to identify publication trajectories, influential authors, productive institutions, and emerging thematic clusters. Results indicate steady growth in research outputs, with peaks in 2023–2024, and journal articles as the primary dissemination medium. The United States emerges as the largest contributor, followed by India, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Keyword analysis highlights five thematic clusters: civic engagement, interdisciplinarity, health, sustainability, and community capacity building. These findings reveal regional disparities and emphasize the importance of digital integration and stronger collaboration among universities, communities, and students to advance inclusive and transformative civic learning.
