Background: VAP is a problem found in patients who are on a ventilator, the VAP has not been considered by nursing staff when providing nursing care processes, starting from when reviewing patients, conducting interventions and evaluating patients. Prevention is done from the beginning of nursing care, one of which is oral hygiene. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of oral hygiene using a combination of 0.9% Natrium Chloride (NaCl) and Chlorhexidine (CHG) in patients who were on a ventilator. Methods: The design of this study was a quasi experiment with a pretest-post test with a control group design. The sampling technique used the Federer formula with a sample of 18 respondents with 9 respondents per group. Statistical analysis used in this research is univariate characteristic test, bivariate test with paired t-test and for multivariate using simple linear regression test for confounding. Results: Of the research conducted showed that there was no significant effect in group A before and after the intervention with a p-value (0.403) and the average increased slightly, while group B before and after the intervention had a p-value (0.512) with a decreasing average. The multivariate test found that age confounding had an effect on VAP with a p-value (0.024) while gender confounding had no effect on VAP with a p-value (0.277). Conclusion: In this study, oral hygiene using a combination of 0.9% NaCl and CHG was effective against VAP.

The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on nursing students’ academic and clinical performance. Nursing institutions have provided remote learning to continue the learning process. However, students have met several obstacles that caused a decrease in the quality of learning. Remote learning for education requires the support of information and communication technology. However, studies related to how the COVID-19 pandemic affected nursing education in Indonesia are still rarely done. Accordingly, this study was conducted to evaluate the implementation of remote learning for nursing education during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 331 members of the Association of Indonesian Nurse Education Center (AINEC). The instrument used was the Guidelines of Filling Out Remote Learning. The results showed that 51% of the study programs implemented remote learning, while 69% of the regulations for remote learning were created by rectors. The most common teaching materials were visual, text, and audio-visual content. These materials were distributed through WhatsApp Group, Learning Management System (LMS), and video conference. To support the process of remote learning, nursing institutions need to improve information technology staff and cooperate agreement with other institutions. Overall, the remote learning process needs to be further improved to increase the students’ learning quality.

This literature review explores Hildegard Peplau's Interpersonal Relations Theory in the context of psychodynamic nursing. It outlines the theory's fundamental concepts, emphasizing human, environmental, and health aspects. The case analysis demonstrates the theory's application in managing patient anxiety. Its strengths include enhancing mental well-being, reducing anxiety, and providing better care. However, the theory has limitations, particularly its emphasis on psychological aspects and neglect of the physical environment. The conclusion highlights the importance of integrating a holistic approach to enhance nursing care effectiveness.

The Neuman Theory emphasizes a holistic system view of individuals, regarding them as systems interacting with their environment. In the context of patients with hemiparesis and decubitus ulcers, the concept of internal and external stressors is applied to identify factors affecting health. This approach enables nurses to provide comprehensive care, focusing on the overall recovery of the patient.

Pamela G. Reed publishes a theory of self-transcendence, which states that the development of self-concept is limited multidimensionally, namely inwardly, outwardly and temporally (worldly). Nursing actions directly focus on sources that originate from within a person towards transcendence or focus on several personal and contextual factors that influence the relationship between self-transcendence and vulnerability, the relationship between self-transcendence and good/healthy conditions. This paper analyse the application of Reed’s theory on a breast cancer patient.

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is the inability of the heart to maintain adequate cardiac output to meet metabolic and oxygen needs in the tissues despite adequate venous return, with signs and symptoms of shortness of breath and fatigue caused by abnormalities in the function of the heart structure. Patricia Benner's theory explains that practitioner knowledge produces new ideas in scientific disciplines. By using appropriate operational and theoretical terms to define the concepts in the theory. The theory developed by Patricia Benner has 5 levels "Novice, Advanced Beginner, Competen, Proficience, Expert" which describes the main levels of experience for each practitioner. Objective: to find out the application of Patricia Benner's theoretical concepts in nursing care. Method: nursing process approach using Patricia Benner's nursing theory model, data collection technique namely case study. Results: The Benner model places nurses according to their level of expertise from Novice nurses who carry out assessments and formulate diagnoses through the guidance of Advanced Begginer nurses. Begginer intervenes according to the level of dependency. Results and implementation criteria are determined by Competent nurses, the success of the intervention according to the evaluation is carried out by Proficient nurses. As a consultation for nurses and families, it is carried out by expert nurses. Conclusion: Achieving success in nursing care, especially for patients with CHF, can be determined by the level of expertise of the nurse providing care.

This study explores postpartum depression using the Beck theory. Factors such as anxiety, stress, and breastfeeding difficulties form the framework of analysis. Applied nursing care includes clinical evaluation, understanding thought patterns, therapeutic relationship development, education, and cognitive interventions. While the Beck theory focuses on cognitive aspects, there are weaknesses such as generalization and a lack of attention to social, environmental, and biological aspects.
