Abstract

In the learning process, there are many challenges faced by physical education teachers at schools, particularly in providing a comfortable learning environment for students. Physical education teachers need to be able to offer engaging learning experiences, whether using tools or making modifications, so that PJOK (Physical Education, Sports, and Health) lessons are enjoyable for students. This research was conducted to understand the challenges faced by physical education teachers in modifying PJOK learning media in elementary schools using descriptive qualitative research methods. Data analysis shows that 1 physical education teacher falls into the excellent category with a percentage of 12.5%, 1 teacher is in the good category with a percentage of 12.5%, 4 teachers are in the moderate category with a percentage of 50%, 1 teacher is in the less good category with a percentage of 12.5%, and 1 teacher is in the poor category with a percentage of 12.5%. The contributing factors include, firstly, inadequate facilities and infrastructure at the school, which do not support the learning process, causing difficulties for the teachers as many students struggle to grasp the material. Second, the relatively low level of creativity among physical education teachers in teaching PJOK. Thirdly, the high workload, especially due to their responsibilities for numerous extracurricular activities and sports at the school, in addition to their classroom teaching duties. The conclusion of this research is that the inadequate facilities and infrastructure, relatively low creativity levels among teachers, and the high workload are significant challenges

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of passing ability using the inside of the foot in football games. In this study, a quantitative approach was used with a descriptive research type that uses one variable without making comparisons with other variables. Descriptive research is research that is not intended to test a particular hypothesis but to describe or explain systematically, factually and accurately the facts and characteristics of a particular population. The population taken in this study were 306 students of Kumala State Elementary School, Makassar. The population that can represent students is 30 people, namely grades 5 and 6 obtained through random sampling techniques. The random sampling technique is a random sample selection that is intended as a representation of the total population. The data obtained are then analyzed and expressed in qualitative form with a percentage. Based on the results, the conclusion shows that the level of passing ability using the inside of the foot in football games of UPT SPF students of Kumala State Elementary School, Makassar is categorized as moderate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of underhand passing in volleyball games through audio-visual media for class V SDI BTN IKIP 2 Makassar. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis qualitative. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles with each cycle including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 23 students of class V SDI BTN IKIP 2 Makassar. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate a change in that audio-visual learning media can improve the learning outcomes of class V students in the PJOK subject of volleyball underhand passing. In the first cycle, it was shown that out of 23 students, the student's learning efforts had begun to show a significant increase because 16 students had completed it with a percentage of 69.56% and 7 students had not completed it with a percentage of 30.43%, which means that it is still far from the expected success indicator and in Cycle II there has been a very significant increase of 23 students completing it with a percentage of 100%. From these results, the research ended in cycle II because it had reached the success indicator.

Abstract

This systematic review examines the effectiveness of football tactics learning within physical education (PE) curricula over the past decade. A comprehensive analysis of 30 peer-reviewed studies from national and Scopus-indexed journals reveals that game-centered instructional models, especially the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) and Tactical Games Model (TGM), significantly enhance students’ tactical awareness, decision-making skills, and overall engagement. Across multiple studies, TGfU-based interventions resulted in an average 25% improvement in tactical knowledge and a 30% increase in student motivation compared to traditional teaching methods (García-Ceberino et al., 2020; Barba-Martín et al., 2020). Additionally, tactical learning embedded in real-game scenarios improved technical skills by 18% (Olthof et al., 2020), demonstrating the integrative benefits of these models. The review identifies key factors influencing the successful implementation of these approaches, including teacher training and contextual adaptation to diverse learner backgrounds. Despite positive outcomes, several gaps persist, such as limited longitudinal studies assessing long-term retention of tactical knowledge and the need for standardized assessment tools. This study recommends further research to explore hybrid pedagogical models combining tactical and skill-based instruction, alongside enhanced professional development for educators. The findings underscore the importance of innovative, student-centred teaching methods to promote cognitive, affective, and physical domains in football education. Ultimately, integrating tactical learning in PE supports holistic student development and fosters lifelong engagement in physical activity and sports.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of anthropometric factors on the dribbling speed of students of SMPN 3 Bontomarannu at various grade levels. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational design. The subjects of the study were 178 students, consisting of 55 7th-grade students (average age 12.29 years), 58 8th-grade students (average age 13.38 years), and 65 9th-grade students (average age 14.14 years). The anthropometric variables measured included body weight, height, leg length, arm length, waist circumference, arm circumference, palm length, palm width, span length, and foot length. Dribbling speed was measured using a dribbling test with recording travel time. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed differences in the influence of anthropometrics at each grade level. In grade 7 students, there was no significant effect of anthropometric factors on dribbling speed (R² = 0.126; p > 0.05 for all variables). Grade 8 students also showed insignificant results, even though the correlation value was higher (R = 0.410; R² = 0.168; p > 0.05 for all variables). In contrast, in grade 9 students, a significant effect was found with a strong model (R = 0.627; R² = 0.393). Three anthropometric variables had a significant effect: height had a positive effect (β = 0.164; p = 0.018), leg length had a negative effect (β = -0.204; p = 0.000), and palm width had a negative effect (β = -1.350; p = 0.015). The average dribbling time decreased with increasing grade level, namely 21.57 seconds (grade 7), 20.27 seconds (grade 8), and 17.02 seconds (grade 9). The influence of anthropometric factors on dribbling speed varies based on the level of student maturity. Anthropometric factors did not have a significant effect on students in grades 7 and 8, but had a significant effect on students in grade 9. This shows that with increasing age and physical maturity, anthropometric factors begin to play a role as determinants of dribbling speed. Optimal height, proportional leg length, and appropriate palm width are important factors in the dribbling ability of more mature students.
