Abstract

Pertanian memainkan peran krusial dalam ketahanan pangan untuk mendukung kehidupan masyarakat. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam praktik pertanian ramah lingkungan melalui pupuk organik padat menggunakan mikronutrien. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik menggunakan mikronutrien dilaksanakan di kelompok tani Tani “Malawo Sejahtera” Kelurahan Jamaimo, Kabupaten Sorong dengan jumlah petani yang berperan aktif sebanyak 18 orang. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, tingkat pengetahuan peserta mengenai dampak dan kekurangan penggunaan pupuk anorganik meningkat signifikan dari 10% (pre-test) menjadi 85% (post-test). Selain itu, keterampilan masyarakat dalam pembuatan pupuk organik berbasis mikronutrien juga menunjukkan peningkatan tajam, yaitu dari 15% menjadi 88%. Peningkatan ini mencerminkan efektivitas metode pelatihan partisipatif yang digunakan, yang menggabungkan penyampaian materi, diskusi, dan praktik langsung. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan masyarakat dapat menerapkan alternatif pertanian berkelanjutan yang lebih sehat bagi lingkungan dan mendukung kemandirian lokal dalam pengelolaan input pertanian.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there was an effect of the science process skills approach to understanding the concept of physics in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sirenja. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental design with the equivalent, pretest-posttest design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. Class VIIIA as the experimental class was treated using the science process skills approach and class VIIIB as the control class which was treated using the expository approach. The instrument used was a test of understanding the concept of physics in the form of multiple choice which had been tested. Based on the results of data processing, for the experimental class the mean final test score was 16.04 with a classical completeness value of 66.83% with a standard deviation of 4.18. For the control class, the mean final test score was 12.09 with a classical completeness value of 50.38% with a standard deviation of 4.66. From the results of data analysis, t-count> t-table, this indicated that the Hypothesis H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of the science process skills approach to understanding the concept of physics in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sirenja.

Abstract

The advancement of technology has influenced learning activities, including through the Flipped Classroom model, where students study independently at home and class time is used for discussion and collaboration. Teacher understanding and readiness are critical to its success. This study aims to analyze the level of understanding among elementary, junior, and senior high school teachers in South and West Sulawesi regarding the concept, challenges, and classroom implementation of the Flipped Classroom model. A descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach was applied, involving 49 randomly selected teachers. Data were analyzed using the Rasch model to identify the distribution and trends of teacher understanding. The results show that teacher understanding of the Flipped Classroom model is generally high and evenly distributed across demographic groups. These findings provide insight into designing more effective learning strategies across educational levels.

Abstract

Pendidikan seks untuk remaja membahas seputar gambaran biologi organ reproduksi, masalah hubungan, seksualitas, kesehatan reproduksi, dan penyakit menular seksual. Penyebab permasalahan remaja yang utama adalah kurangnya informasi yang benar terkait seks, begitupun pada siswa remaja di SMA N 3 Klaten belum mendapat sosialisasi terkait pendidikan seks. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang bagaimana gambaran pengetahuan remaja tentang pendidikan seks. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan remaja tentang pendidikan seks. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 200 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah metode non probability sampling dengan pendekatan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan jenis kelamin didominasi oleh perempuan sejumlah 128 responden (64%), usia 16 tahun sejumlah 141 responden (70.5%), pekerjaan orang tua buruh 73 responden (36.5%). Responden yang memiliki pengetahuan baik tentang pendidikan seks sejumlah 165 responden (82.5%), cukup sejumlah 30 responden (15%), dan kurang sejumlah 5 responden (2.5%). Kesimpulan penelitian tentang Gambaran Pengetahuan Remaja Tentang Pendidikan Seks adalah berpengetahuan baik yaitu 165 responden (82.5%).

Abstract

The community service program was designed to raise collective awareness of bullying while fostering a more positive school environment. The program was implemented through needs assessment, collaboration with schools, and the delivery of educational materials using visual aids, interactive discussions, games, and edutainment activities. The results indicate an increased understanding among students of the forms and impacts of bullying, greater willingness to share personal experiences in safe discussion spaces, and the internalization of values such as empathy, cooperation, and respect for diversity. Active student engagement was further supported by teachers and school leaders, who affirmed that the program aligned with existing character education efforts. In conclusion, although not supported by quantitative data, this participatory approach proved effective in enhancing anti-bullying awareness and encouraging a collective commitment to building a sustainable and conducive learning culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of students in the Basic Physics course implemented through a contextual approach. This approach was applied to connect physics concepts with real-world situations in order to enhance students’ conceptual understanding. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 62 students from the Geography Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Makassar, as research subjects. Data were collected through an essay-type achievement test that assessed conceptual mastery and the ability to apply physics principles. The results showed that 11.29% of students were in the “very good” category, 32.26% in the “good” category, 24.19% in the “fair” category, 19.35% in the “poor” category, and 12.90% in the “very poor” category. These findings indicate that the majority of students achieved results ranging from good to fair, demonstrating the effectiveness of the contextual approach in improving learning outcomes. The contextual approach helps non-physics students bridge the gap between theory and reality while shifting their learning paradigm from passive to active and reflective. Through direct experiences and analysis of environmental phenomena, students are better able to construct knowledge and develop interdisciplinary scientific thinking skills. Abstract

Climate change impacts all aspects of life including agriculture, which influences land management practices, soil temperature and moisture, and land use types. This research aims to identify soil temperature and moisture fluctuations across various agricultural land cover types and their relationship to soil physical properties. This research was conducted in Mariat District, Sorong Regency, on four types of land use and was selected intentionally (purposive sampling). The coordinates of each type of land are: Rice Field 075°77’35’’E 98°88’12”SL; Garden land: 075°75’82”E, 98°88’09”SL; Agroforestry land: 075°74’30”E, 98°88’01”SL; and Unproductive land 075°76’30”E, 98°88’80”SL. Measurement of soil temperature and humidity using environment-meter for 30 consecutive days and soil sampling was carried out (intact soil samples and disturbed soil samples) to identify the physical properties of the soil. The research results showed fluctuations in soil temperature and moisture content across each land use. In general, the average morning temperature was 27.2°C, midday 32°C, and evening 27.5°C. Meanwhile, the average soil moisture content was 79.5% in the morning, 74% in the afternoon, and 81% in the evening. The physical properties of the soil in the four land uses are different in soil texture, soil color, available water, permeability, and aggregate stability. The use of rice fields and dry fields has the same temperature and humidity. However, the use of gardens and agroforestry land tends to differ because variations influence plant vegetation. Temperatures too high and humidity too low can worsen soil conditions, causing physical degradation that affects agricultural productivity and soil sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of legal awareness among business actors in registering their trademarks in the field of intellectual property at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Southeast Sulawesi. Legal awareness in this context includes the understanding, attitudes, and behavior of business actors toward the importance of legal protection for trademarks. The research method used is a juridical-empirical approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving MSME actors and officials from the Regional Office. The findings reveal that the legal awareness of business actors in Kendari City remains low, as indicated by the limited number of registered trademarks. Several inhibiting factors were identified, including lack of legal knowledge, the perception that the registration process is complex and costly, and insufficient outreach from relevant institutions. On the other hand, business actors who have registered their trademarks reported clear benefits, such as legal protection, increased competitiveness, and business legitimacy. Therefore, continuous educational and participatory approaches, along with inter-agency collaboration, are essential to enhance the legal literacy of business actors regarding trademark registration.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in seaweed processing, where the production process uses coal as boiler fuel to generate steam power for driving production activities. Coal combustion produces two types of waste, namely Fly ash and Bottom ash. Long-term accumulation of Fly ash and Bottom ash waste may require large storage space and cause environmental problems. This study aims to utilize Fly ash and Bottom ash waste (FABA) as an additive material in the production of concrete blocks (batako) and to calculate the production cost per batch. The research method used to address the problem was an experimental method. Based on the test results of the concrete blocks, it can be concluded that Fly ash and Bottom ash waste is feasible to be used as a mixture material in concrete block production with quality level II, using a composition of 300 g cement, 1500 g sand, and 1500 g Bottom ash. The test results showed a unit weight of 2.5 kg/unit, a compressive strength of 60 kN, and a water absorption percentage of 30%. The total production cost for producing concrete blocks using Fly ash and Bottom ash waste was Rp. 1,057,808 per batch, or Rp. 3,340 per unit

Abstract

Marketing strategy is a policy implemented by a company to win competition within an industry. By determining the right marketing strategy, a company can achieve a competitive advantage over its rivals. PT. X is a producer of bottled drinking water (AMDK) in South Sulawesi. PT. X aims to determine an effective marketing strategy for their company to compete with other brands and increase profitability. This research utilizes the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) to determine which strategic alternative is the most attractive or appropriate for PT. X, based on the analysis of influencing external and internal factors. The data source used consists of respondent answers from questionnaires distributed to the marketing manager of PT. X. The data analysis technique follows the analytical steps of the QSPM to select strategic alternatives. The results indicate that the strategic alternative for marketing PT. X's bottled water products is to enhance and expand sales access through social media, with a Total Attractiveness Score (TAS) of 0.789
