Abstract

Stunting was a problem of chronic malnutrition for a long time and interferes with growth especially in early childhood. PKM activities conducted in PAUD and Kindergarten of Ihsanul Hasanah and Al-Hidayah East Sukadamai Village. The partner problems were the PAUD and Kindergarten in East Sukadamai Village never given education on the importance of consuming livestock products (eggs, meat and milk) and selecting that's products with the ASUH concept (Safe, Healthy, Whole, Halal) for stunting prevention in early childhood. The aim of PKM was to understanding teachers, parents and children about the importance of preventing stunting through the consumption of ASUH livestock products. The PKM method was lectures to parents and teachers. Telling story and socialization on eating livestock products to children. The PKM results show that increased understanding of parents and teachers of the importance of consuming livestock products and choosing ASUH livestock products to prevent stunting. PAUD and Kindergarten children enthusiastically listen to stories about stunting and begin to know that eggs, meat and milk were important for stunting prevention. Giving livestock products to children every two weeks. The conclusion of PKM was PKM activities increase the understanding of parents, teachers, and early childhood about stunting prevention with ASUH livestock products.Keywords: early childhood; livestock products; stunting  Abstrak: Stunting merupakan masalah kurang gizi kronis yang terjadi dalam waktu cukup lama dan mengganggu pertumbuhan terutama anak usia dini. Kegiatan PKM dilakukan PAUD dan TK Ihsanul Hasanah dan TK Al-Hidayah Desa Sukadamai Timur. Permasalahan mitra yaitu PAUD dan TK di Desa Sukadamai Timur belum pernah diberikan edukasi pentingnya mengonsumsi produk ternak (telur, daging, dan susu) dan pemilihan produk hasil ternak dengan konsep ASUH (Aman, Sehat, Utuh, Halal) untuk pencegahan stunting pada anak usia dini. Tujuan PKM yaitu memberikan pemahaman kepada guru, orang tua, dan anak tentang pentingnya pencegahan stunting melalui konsumsi produk ternak yang ASUH. Metode PKM adalah ceramah terhadap orang tua dan guru. Dongeng pada anak-anak serta sosialisasi makan produk peternakan. Hasil PKM menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman orang tua dan guru akan pentingnya mengonsumsi produk ternak dan pemilihan produk ternak yang ASUH untuk mencegah stunting. Anak-anak PAUD dan TK antusias mendengarkan dongeng tentang stunting sehingga mulai mengetahui bahwa telur, daging, dan susu sangat penting untuk pencegahan stunting. Pemberian produk ternak pada anak-anak setiap dua minggu. Kesimpulan PKM adalah kegiatan PKM meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua, guru, serta anak usia dini tentang pencegahan stunting dengan produk ternak yang ASUH.Kata Kunci: anak usia dini; produk ternak asuh; stunting

Abstract

Fine motor skills in children with moderate mental retardation have an important role and influence in completing daily tasks and the level of independence of children with moderate mental retardation. This happens because children's daily activities involve coordination skills between the eyes and hands and the strength of small muscles. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of cutting techniques in improving fine motor skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. The research method used by researchers is a literature review, which is carried out by analyzing data from various previous research studies and trusted sources. The results of the research show that the cutting technique is an effective way to improve fine motor skills in children with moderate mental retardation. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the application of cutting techniques at SLB C Muzdalifah for children with moderate intellectual disabilities in order to provide intervention to children and facilitate the development of fine motor skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. By providing appropriate intervention, teachers can use this technique as a tool that can help mentally retarded children who are facing difficulties developing fine motor skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of inclusive education to group A kindergarten learning, in Pari City. The object of research is the learning process of group A Kindergarten in Pari City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Research data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data collected was analyzed descriptively qualitatively using an interactive analysis model. The validity of the research data was re-tested using extended participation, observation persistence, and triangulation. The results of the study show that inclusive education serves all the needs of students regardless of differences. This can be seen from: (1) class composition consists of various aspects of diversity; (2) each learner gets treatment according to his needs; (3) SPMB is based on the age of the child and there is no test;(4) using an independent curriculum that is tailored to the needs of students; and (5) learning develops aspects: cognitive, language, physical-motor, social-emotional, and moral

Abstract

Early childhood is a period where children's development can optimally grow, both in the social-emotional aspect and other aspects. Therefore, efforts to address children experiencing temper tantrums are crucial to ensure that children's development can progress optimally. This research employs a qualitative research method with a psychological approach. The subjects of this study are educators and children experiencing tantrums at Tazkia Islamic Kindergarten, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. Data collection techniques used include observation, documentation, and interviews. For data analysis, the researcher uses the data analysis technique from Miles and Huberman. In the final stage, the validity of the obtained data will be tested using triangulation techniques, both source and method. The results of this research are expected to provide deeper insights into ways to overcome temper tantrums in early childhood at Tazkia Islamic Kindergarten, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. Additionally, this study will also produce recommendations for educators in applying emotional-based approaches to managing temper tantrums. Thus, this research has the potential to contribute positively towards efforts to manage early childhood temper tantrums and encourage the formation of early childhood character.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is one of the steps taken by the Ministry of Education and Culture in realizing the profile of Pancasila students. Various trainings and educational socialization have been carried out by the government. However, it seems to escape that in addition to formal education there is also education called informal education, namely children's education at home. Which parents are the teachers. To support government programs in realizing the profile of Pancasila students, parents should also take their role in shaping the love of the country for their children. Parents certainly need to be educated about what things will be done with their children. In line with this, researchers conducted research on optimizing the role of parents in shaping the love of the homeland to realize the profile of Pancasila students which is the goal of the current independent curriculum.

Abstract

"Free Curriculum" is an innovative educational approach that encourages the development of creativity, skills, and character of students. One interesting approach in implementing the "Free Curriculum" is the use of educational games, such as "Local Culture Compass," which aims to connect students with local cultural heritage while facilitating enjoyable learning. This research proposes to investigate the phenomenon of implementing the "Free Curriculum" through the "Local Culture Compass" game in the context of education. The aim of this research is to explore the impact of the "Local Culture Compass" game in integrating the principles of the "Free Curriculum" into learning. This research will explore the perceptions of students and teachers regarding their experiences in using this game. Data collection methods will involve classroom observations, interviews, and document analysis. The collected data will be analyzed using an interpretative approach to identify key patterns in learning and teaching experiences. The results of this research are expected to provide deeper insights into the effectiveness of the "Local Culture Compass" game in implementing the "Free Curriculum." Additionally, this research will also produce practical recommendations for the development and implementation of the "Free Curriculum" through game-based approaches in the context of local culture. Thus, this research has the potential to make a positive contribution to advancing innovative education in Indonesia and promoting the preservation of local cultural heritage in the learning process.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling services are one of the efforts that must be held in schools to facilitate the development of students both individually and in groups. Currently there are still a number of schools that still provide conventional guidance and counseling services, where counseling services are still carried out offline (face to face) in the school counseling room. With the implementation of such guidance services and the identicality of the counseling room with students who have problems, students who are called or come to the counseling room get a negative opinion from other students. Even though counseling services in schools do not only deal with students who have problems, but counseling services in schools can be a facility that can be used by students to carry out guidance (academic, talents, interests, potential) and counseling (activities carried out by counselors (counseling teachers) and students with the aim of providing solutions and helping solve problems faced by students). For this reason, it is necessary to utilize technology so that counseling services can be carried out digitally. This research focuses on making a prototype guidance and counseling information system. Prototypes are made using figma with the aim of getting user experience. User experience is needed so that when the guidance and counseling information system is built it can suit the needs of the school.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyse the application of joyful English learning methods for early childhood at PIAUD Ummul Habibah, Klambir 5 Kebon. Using the joyful learning approach, this study examined how a fun learning atmosphere could increase students' motivation and engagement in the English learning process. The technique of data collection by conducting the interview. The subjects of this study were three teachers at PIAUD Ummul Habibah Klambir 5 Kebon.The results showed the teachers implemented the joyful learning in the class based on the daily plan of English learning. Moreover, they also that used of various creative activities, such as games, songs and stories, successfully attracted children's interest and accelerated their understanding of English. In addition, the positive and interactive environment also contributed to the children's social and emotional development. This study recommends the integration of joyful learning methods in the English curriculum to support effective and fun learning for early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the planning and implementation carried out by TKIT Baitul Hijrah Binjai City in the formation of religious characters in early childhood through independent learning. This research method uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique is the results of observations made on umar bin khattab class children totaling 15 children, direct interviews with 1 principal, 2 teachers and 2 parents, as well as documentation sourced from the TKIT Baitul Hijrah Kota Binjai education unit curriculum and child development records. Data analysis is carried out through data condensation, data display and conclusion drawing or verification which is arranged into a sentence that contains the findings obtained from the research. The result of this research is that planning for the formation of religious characters through independent learning is carried out by compiling school programs in the form of extracurricular programs and teaching modules that support the formation of religious characters, while the application is carried out using learning methods that are fun for children such as singing, storytelling, role playing and involving parents in learning at home.

Abstract

Di Kelurahan Sunggal, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah minimnya pemahaman orang tua mengenai gizi dan stunting, serta kurangnya minat untuk memeriksakan kesehatan anak secara rutin ke posyandu. Ditambah lagi, kurangnya akses terhadap informasi berbasis digital mengenai stunting dan pengasuhan yang dapat memperburuk situasi ini. Kebanyakan orang tua belum memanfaatkan teknologi untuk memperoleh informasi penting mengenai kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang anak. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu inovasi yang memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung program penurunan stunting di daerah ini. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, program Pemberdayaan Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dirancang dengan fokus pada peningkatan pemahaman orang tua terhadap tumbuh kembang anak, stunting, dan parenting melalui aplikasi berbasis Android, “Grow Smart (No Stunting Smart Parenting).” Metode tahapan pelaksanaan yang akan dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi: sosialisasi kepada orang tua, pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi “Grow Smart (No Stunting Smart Parenting)”, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta keberlanjutan program. Aplikasi “Grow Smart (No Stunting Smart Parenting)” berbasis android akan menjadi upaya strategis yang dapat dilakukan dalam membangun generasi emas bebas stunting dengan memanfaatkan berkembangnya konsep parenting berbasis digital yang memungkinkan masyarakat mendapatkan informasi secara mobile learning yang memberikan ruang informasi dimana saja dan kapan saja. Hal ini memberikan peluang besar dalam membangun generasi emas bebas stunting.
