Abstract

This study examines the comparative form and function of prefixes and reduplication in Gorontalo and Atinggola languages using a comparative linguistics approach. This comparison aims to identify similarities and differences in morphological structure in both languages. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving native speakers in Randangan District, Pohuwato Regency, and Atinggola District, North Gorontalo Regency. A total of 200 basic Swadesh vocabulary items were used as the primary analysis material. The research findings indicate that both languages have relatively similar morphological systems, particularly in the use of bound morphemes, such as prefixes, which contribute to verb formation. However, there are differences in their productivity and grammatical functions. Gorontalo has six types of prefixes and 20 forms of reduplication, while Atinggola has four types of prefixes and 25 forms of reduplication. Reduplication in both languages serves to express meaning, such as emphasizing intensity, adding meaning, and varying meaning. In general, this research contributes to the development of comparative historical linguistic studies and can be used as a reference in the conservation and development of regional languages in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Tingkat Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengoperasikan alat-alat laboratorium di Program Studi Tadris Fisika IAIN Kendari, (2) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengoperasikan alat-alat laboratorium pada mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Fisika IAIN Kendari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan metode gabungan (mixed methods). Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa program studi tadris fisika angkatan 2017 yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling.   Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar kuesioner dan Tes Perbuatan (Performance test). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan metode campuran (mixed method) melalui uji t-test pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh Faktor-faktor yang mempegaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengoperasikan peralatan laboratorium yaitu (1) pengetahuan awal tentang peralatan laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai signifikansi koefisien regresi sebesar 0,004 lebih kecil dari nilai taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,05. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan awal mahasiswa berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan dalam mengoperasikan peralatan laboratorium mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Fisika IAIN Kendari. (2) ketersedian alat dan bahan laboratorium Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai signifikansi signifikansinya sebesar 0,047 lebih kecil dari nilai taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,05. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa kondisi dan keterbatasan alat dan bahan laboratorium berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengoperasikan alat laboratorium mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Fisika IAIN KendariKata Kunci:  Kemampuan; laboratorium fisika; peralatan laboratorium

Abstract

Students' low motivation and listening skills in learning biographical texts have prompted the need for more interactive learning media. This study aims to describe the use of Wordwall media in teaching biographical text listening skills and its impact on the learning motivation of grade X.5 students at SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory observation as the primary data collection technique, supported by pre-tests and post-tests as supplementary data. The study subjects were 35 students. The results showed an increase in listening skills, as evidenced by a comparison of test results: in the pre-test, only 3 students scored 19-20, while in the post-test, this increased to 28 students, scoring 19-20. Observations showed that the majority of students fell into the "quite clear and consistent" to "very clear and dominant" categories in terms of interest, activeness, and learning persistence. These findings indicate that Wordwall is effective in improving listening skills while strengthening students' learning motivation.
