Abstract

AbstractThe purposes of this study are to identify misconceptions among Elementary School students related to the material about magnet taught and to describe the factors causing these misconceptions. The subjects of this study were 18 sixth grade students (7 males and 11 females). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data were obtained through observation, documentation, interviews, and 16 multiple-choice tests accompanied by a CRI (Certainty of Response Index) column. The data analysis consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study reveal that students believe that magnets only attract iron, the type of magnet from nature is artificial, the strongest magnetic force is located in the middle, and there is only one way to make a magnet. Not only that, misconceptions also occur related to students' misunderstanding of the concept of magnetic poles and their misconceptions about the use of magnets in compasses and refrigerators. The causes of misconceptions found are students' low interest in learning both at home and at school, the textbooks used, and the teacher's teaching methods.Keywords: Material About Magnet, CRI Method, Misconceptions. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa Sekolah Dasar terhadap materi magnet yang diajarkan dan mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab miskonsepsi tersebut. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI yang berjumlah 18 siswa (7 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, dan tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 16 soal yang disertai kolom CRI (Certainty of Response Index). Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa siswa meyakini magnet hanya menarik besi, jenis magnet dari alam adalah buatan, gaya magnet yang terkuat terletak pada bagian tengah, dan hanya ada satu cara membuat magnet. Tak hanya itu, miskonsepsi juga terjadi terkait kekeliruan pemahaman siswa akan konsep kutub magnet dan miskonsepsi mereka terhadap penggunaan magnet pada kompas dan lemari es. Penyebab miskonsepsi yang ditemukan yaitu rendahnya minat belajar siswa baik di rumah ataupun di sekolah, buku pembelajaran yang digunakan, dan metode pengajaran guru.Kata Kunci: Materi Magnet, Metode CRI, Miskonsepsi.

Abstract

Understanding key scientific concepts is vital for elementary students, yet misconceptions are common. This study identifies misconceptions about magnetism among sixth-grade students at SDN Muhammadiyah Purworejo using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method. Involving 33 fourth-grade students, the research employed a qualitative case study approach with CRI-based diagnostic tests. Responses were categorized into four groups: “guessing,” “understanding the concept,” “not understanding the concept,” and “misconceptions.” Results showed the highest misconceptions in how to make a magnet, followed by the magnetic field, understanding magnets, magnetic poles, and distinguishing magnetic from non-magnetic objects, with the lowest misconceptions in the application of magnets in daily life. The study highlights the need for effective teaching strategies to address these misconceptions and improve students' understanding of magnets.

Abstract

Learning media innovation relates to the process of creating learning media with novelty to provide a new revolution in teaching and learning activities. This process depends on the perception of teachers at the primary school level, which can be defined as a person’s understanding or thought of an object that will be interpreted through the five senses. The purpose of this research is to find out how elementary school teachers perceive learning media innovations with digital games in implementing of independent curriculum. This research is qualitative in nature and uses descriptive methods with the research subject being teachers in one of the private elementary schools located in Bayan District, Purworejo. The interview technique was used to collect data from teachers to find out their perceptions specifically. The data obtained will be analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique. The results showed that teachers agreed with the existence of digital games as one possible way to explore learning media innovations to support the implementation of the independent curriculum. Teachers responses to digital games are thought to be able to follow the needs of children who like to play and can minimize the use of digital games that do not contain learning elements so that they are very practical to be integrated in teaching and learning activities. It can be concluded that the perception of teachers who accept the existence of digital games as a learning media innovation is the first step to be implemented in the teaching and learning process both online, hybrida, and face-to-face so that it can keep up the times.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya kemampuan literasi murid dan belum maksimalnya guru dalam mengimplemntasikan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh metode bercerita terhadap kemampuan literasi murid kelas V. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Pra eksperimen dengan model One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara sampling jenuh. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30 murid. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes. Uji prasyarat analisis terdiri dari uji normalitas menggunakan bantuan SPSS Statistic for windows 25.0. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik non parametrik yaitu Uji Wilcoxon berbantuan program IBM Statistic for windows SPSS 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode bercerita berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan literasi peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil analisis wilcoxon yang menunjukkan nilai Sig 0.000< 0.05 maka H0 ditolak dan untuk Ha diterima. Sehingga secara signifikan metode bercerita berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi murid kelas V. Selanjutnya metode bercerita dapat digunakan sebagai metode alternatif didalam proses pembelajaran bagi guru yang mencari metode pembelajaran yang berfariasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil analisis implementasi Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) kelas IV SD sebagai bahan evaluasi demi terciptanya suatu program yang lebih baik lagi. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Tahap analisis data meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah melaksanakan P5 di kelas IV berbasis kearifan lokal permainan tradisional dimana hal ini merupakan warisan nenek moyang yang wajib dijaga dan dilestarikan. Temuan penelitian pada tahapan dalam mendesain P5 antara lain tahap persiapan meliputi pembentukan tim fasilitator namun belum memiliki SK hanya terdapat koordinator saja, kemudian mengidentifikasi kesiapan sekolah, menentukan dimensi, tema dan alokasi waktu, menyusun strategi dan modul projek, namun guru terkadang belum menyusun modul projek, dan menyusun strategi pelaporan hasil projek. Kemudian tahap pelaksaan meliputi pengenalan, kontekstualisasi, dan aksi P5. Tahap evaluasi meliputi pelaporan hasil, evaluasi ketercapaian pelaksanaan serta keberlanjutan program. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi P5 kearifan lokal permainan tradisional dilaksanakan dalam tahap berkembang, mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal, serta melibatkan orang tua dan masyarakat sebagai mitra P5 guna pengembangan karakter peserta didik sesuai dengan nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila.

Abstract

The Trirejo Village Government, Loano District, Purworejo Regency has succeeded in educating its people to be aware of a clean and healthy environment. The mindset of the community needs to be changed that waste will be of economic value to improve welfare. One way to maintain a clean environment is the management of a waste bank that can be used as an economic value. The purpose of this activity is to increase environmental conservation and the economic value of waste through waste bank management. The community-based 3R (reduce, reuse, and recycle) waste management strategy is able to change the imagination of many people towards waste that has no economic value. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The method used in this research is the phenomenological method as a medium to examine and analyze life. individual in the form of experience of phenomena or appearances as they are which is commonly referred to as consciousness. The TPST 3R waste bank manages waste originating from household waste and other types of household waste. then the waste is also distinguished again between organic and inorganic waste.

Abstract

The numeracy ability of fifth grade students of SDN Kedungpucang through the traditional Sundanese Manda game was examined in this study. The results of the AKM pre-test showed that the average student numeracy score was 50.33, below the school's KKM of 70. This study aims to analyze ability numeracy in games Sundanese manda in mathematics learning. This type of research is included in the qualitative descriptive category. with stages like data collection, data reduction, extraction conclusions, and verification. Tools for collecting data include observation , interviews , documentation , and sheets. Work student. Data analysis methods applied use approach analysis descriptive qualitative. Student performance was measured through active discussion, accuracy in solving problems, and application of mathematical concepts in real situations. The results of the study after the intervention increased significantly, with the average post-test being 67.33 or an increase of 17 points. Students involved in the game showed understanding operation count on concept numeracy in a way deep and contextual. Thus, integration game traditional sunda manda proven effective in develop skills numeracy.

Abstract

Reading and writing skills are essential skills in education. Reading skills involve understanding texts, while writing skills include organizing ideas and information. This study aims to improve the reading and writing skills of grade II students of SD Negeri Sindurjan by using flashcard learning media. The study method used in this study is PTK (Classroom Action study). Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The provision of action using flashcard media was carried out on grade II students at SD Negeri Sindurjan who had problems with low writing and reading skills. At the pre-cycle stage, the average value of grade II was only 56.7, and the classical completeness was only 42.11%. Using flashcard media given to grade II at SD Negeri Sindurjan improved student learning outcomes in each cycle. In cycle I, classical learning completeness became 68%; in cycle II, classical learning completeness became 78%.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) develop display media from inorganic waste materials, (2) determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of developing display media from inorganic waste materials. This research uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The subjects of this research were class V students at SD Negeri 2 Banyumudal. Data collection techniques use interview methods, test methods, questionnaire methods, and documentation methods. The learning instruments are in the form of a syllabus and teaching modules, while the assessment instruments are validation sheets from media experts, materials and practitioners, and student response questionnaires. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that (1) a product is produced in the form of display media which can be used as reference material and learning media, (2) the validity of the display media results in an average of 3.6 with valid criteria, (3) the practicality of the display media is seen from Student responses at the extensive trial stage received a percentage of 89.55% in the very practical category. (4) the effectiveness of display media seen from the evaluation value at the extensive trial stage received an average of 87.2 in the very effective category. So, it is concluded that display media made from inorganic waste materials can be categorized as valid, practical and effective as a learning resource for elementary school learning.
