Abstract

Education aims to improve the quality and quantity of students. The selection of the right learning model in the learning process greatly affects the high and low learning outcomes of students. The learning model is an approach that can be taken by educators so that the teaching and learning process runs effectively so that educational goals are achieved. The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects because the learning model used is still not varied and conventional. To overcome these problems, researchers applied the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model with the aim of improving Islamic Education learning outcomes in class V UPTD SDN 01 Sarilamk students. This research uses the type of classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this study were class V UPTD SDN 01 Sarilamak students totaling 16 students consisting of 7 male students and 9 female students. Classroom action research was carried out in four cycles, each cycle consisting of one meeting. In this study there are four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection was carried out using observation and written tests. Based on the results of the study showed that, the average learning outcomes of students have increased. It is known that the KKTP value that has been determined from the school is 70. In pre-research, it is known that 6 students have reached KKTP with a percentage of 37.5% and 10 students have not reached KKTP with a percentage of 62.5%. In cycle I, it increased as many as 9 students had reached KKTP with a percentage of 56.25% and 7 students had not reached KKTP with a percentage of 43.75%. In cycle II, there was an increase of 11 students who had reached KKTP with a percentage of 68.75% and 5 students had not reached KKTP with a percentage of 31.25%. In cycle III, there was an increase as many as 12 students had reached KKTP with a percentage of 75% and 4 students had not reached KKTP with a percentage of 25%. Furthermore, in cycle IV there was also an increase as many as 16 students had reached KKTP with a percentage of 100%.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to describe efforts to improve the learning outcomes of class V students of UPTD SDN 02 Sarilamak in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects through the use of video media. This research was conducted in two cycles. In each cycle, researchers designed and implemented learning using different video media. Research data were obtained through student learning outcomes tests and observations of student activities during learning. The results showed an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes in each cycle. In addition, observations showed an increase in student motivation and learning activities during the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of video media is effective in improving student learning outcomes in PAI subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the scientific communication skills of junior high school students who participate in robotics extracurricular activities through STEM-based learning with the Transcript-Based Lesson Analysis (TBLA) approach. The research was conducted at Nurul Ilmi 1 Integrated Islamic Junior High School, Jambi City, involving four groups of robotics extracurricular students. Each group is involved in the robot creation and testing project, and the interactions between group members during the activity are recorded, transcribed and analyzed using TBLA instruments. The analysis was carried out in a descriptive quantitative manner by calculating the frequency of the occurrence of six indicators of scientific communication, which were then converted into percentages. This process is done with the help of an excel application. Preliminary results show that the most dominant indicators are the ability to convey work verbally and the use of simple scientific terms, while the indicator asking about how robots work appears the least. These results provide an overview of students' scientific communication tendencies in the context of robotics activities, as well as provide a basis for the development of STEM learning models that can improve students' scientific communication skills through non-formal approaches

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in the class A Civics Education Study Program in the odd semester Pancasila course. This type of research is classroom action research. This research uses 3 cycles and each cycle has 4 stages, namely Planning, Action, Observation and Reflection. The research results show that there has been an increase in students' critical thinking skills through integrated learning innovations at the Muaro Jambi Temple Archaeological Site based on Adobe Flash. In cycle 1, students obtained an average critical thinking ability score of 47 with a percentage of 58.75% and were included in the good category. In Cycle II, students' thinking ability scores reached an average of 55.79 or a percentage of 69.73%. This score shows that students have good critical thinking skills and have experienced an increase in scores from cycle I. In Cycle III students have received an average critical thinking ability score of 65.07 or a percentage of 81.33%. Students' critical thinking abilities in cycle III have entered the very good category. After carrying out cycle III, the indicators of success have been achieved so that this research can be declared successful.

Abstract

Strengthening STEM literacy is essential in facing 21st-century challenges that demand critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and technological literacy. However, the implementation of STEM education in Indonesia still faces obstacles, such as limited technological training for teachers and the lack of student experience in project-based learning. Therefore, this program was designed to provide hands-on and practical experiences through educational robotics.This community service program was conducted at SMAS Perintis Tanjung Jabung Timur with the aim of enhancing students’ STEM literacy and strengthening teachers’ identity as STEM educators (STEM Teacher Identity) through robotics-based learning using the S4A Arduino platform. The implementation method included workshops, hands-on robot programming sessions, mini-project mentoring, and reflective learning activities. A total of 25 students and several teachers actively participated in the program. The evaluation results indicated that more than 85% of participants responded positively, Students stated that learning using S4A Arduino robotics was engaging and relevant to their everyday lives. Approximately 70% of Students successfully completed robotics projects that demonstrated a good understanding of how Arduino components work and function. Despite challenges such as limited tools and time, this program proved effective and relevant. Overall, the activity successfully enhanced 21st-century skills, strengthened teachers’ pedagogical competence, and showed potential for replication in other schools as a support to the STEM curriculum and the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) policy. Abstrak. literasi STEM menjadi penting dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21 yang menuntut kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, kolaboratif, dan melek teknologi. Namun, pelaksanaan pendidikan STEM di Indonesia masih menghadapi keterbatasan, seperti kurangnya pelatihan teknologi bagi guru dan minimnya pengalaman siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman langsung dan aplikatif melalui robotika edukatif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMAS Perintis Tanjung Jabung Timur untuk meningkatkan literasi STEM siswa serta memperkuat identitas guru sebagai pendidik STEM (STEM Teacher Identity) melalui pembelajaran berbasis robotik menggunakan platform S4A Arduino. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi workshop, praktik hands-on pemrograman robot, pendampingan proyek mini, serta refleksi pembelajaran. Sebanyak 25 siswa dan beberapa guru berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan lebih dari 85% peserta memberikan respons positif siswa menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan robotik S4A Arduino menarik dan relevan dengan kehidupan mereka sehari-hari. Sekitar 70% siswa berhasil menyelesaikan proyek robotik yang menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik tentang cara kerja dan fungsi komponen Arduino. Meskipun terdapat kendala berupa keterbatasan alat dan waktu, kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dan relevan. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berhasil memperkuat keterampilan abad ke-21, meningkatkan kompetensi guru, dan berpotensi direplikasi di sekolah lain sebagai dukungan terhadap kurikulum STEM dan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar.

Abstract

In the context of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka), emphasis is placed on integrating elements of local wisdom into the learning process to support the development of student profiles aligned with Pancasila principles. Therefore, teachers are expected to prepare instructional materials that incorporate elements of local heritage in line with the Independent Curriculum. However, field observations, particularly in Kota Jambi, indicate that some schools, such as SMPN 17 Kota Jambi, still rely on teaching materials based on the previous curriculum, which do not incorporate local heritage or STEM aspects related to cultural sites. The purpose of this community service activity is to train teachers at SMPN 17 Kota Jambi to develop Independent Curriculum learning tools that integrate local wisdom and STEM aspects using the Muaro Jambi Temple archaeological site as a contextual learning source. Heyzine was utilized in this program to create interactive digital learning modules, enabling teachers to visually and contextually present the cultural significance of the Muaro Jambi Temple site. The method used in this activity is a workshop comprising three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This training took place on August 29, 2024, at SMPN 17 Kota Jambi. The results of this training indicate that teachers at SMPN 17 Kota Jambi gained a solid understanding of the concepts, techniques, and use of Heyzine in preparing learning tools in line with the Independent Curriculum, thereby enabling more effective integration of local heritage and STEM aspects associated with the Muaro Jambi Temple into the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis. 1) Sebaran Perkebunan kelapa Sawit, 2) Dampak Perkebunan kelapa Sawit terhadap Aspek sosial dan ekonomi berdasarkan analisis dampak lingkungan, 3) Dampak perkebunan kelapa sawit dilihat dari konflik dengan masyarakat lokal. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixmethod. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah : seluruh KK (Kepala Keluarga) yang ada di Kecamatan Kinali Sebanyak 1.218 KK. Sampel responden ditarik secara Proposional Random Sampling. Dengan besar proporsi 20% dari jumlah KK pada sampel yang ada yaitu sebanyak 92 KK. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket dan wawancara pada pihak terkait. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) Berdasarkan sebaran perkebunan kelapa sawit dapat dilihat bahwa di Kecamatan Kinali sendiri hampir 90% daerah nya adalalah perkebunan kelapa sawit dan masyarakat mereka juga rata – rata bekerja di perkebunan kelapa sawit. 2) Dampak perkebunan kelapa sawit terhadap aspek sosial dan ekonomi berdasarkan analisis dampak lingkungan mendapat persentase baik yang mana memperoleh TCR 78,03% masyarakat setuju bahwa aspek sosial dan ekonomi aibat perkebuanan kelapa sawit sangat berpengaruh namun di balik itu lingkungan mereka menjadi tercemar. 3) Dampak perkebunan kelapa sawit dilihat dari konflik dengan masyarakat lokal yang mana hasil wawancara di beberapa daerah yang menjadi sampel rata – rata masyarakat menjawab bahwa memang telah adanya konflik antar masyarakat akibat pembelian lahan yangg dilakukan oleh perusahan swasta tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran berbasis problem based learning pada materi zat dan perubahan wujud sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah R&D (research and development) dengan model 4-D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media untuk menilai kelayakan video yang dikembangkan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran ini sangat layak digunakan dengan tingkat kevalidan 98% berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan media. Selain itu, uji coba pada 32 peserta didik menunjukkan respons positif dengan persentase 82%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa video ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi zat dan perubahan wujud. Video pembelajaran berbasis problem based learning memiliki keunggulan dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, memudahkan pemahaman konsep, dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif. Oleh karena itu, video ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam mata pelajaran fisika di tingkat SMP.

Abstract

The school is required to assist students in determining choices according to their interests and talents and to assist them make plans to realize the decisions that have been taken. The activities carried out are career guidance that provides students. Guidance participants are class XI students at SMAN 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur. The activity begins with the preparation stage, followed by a report on the results of community service activities. The time needed is six months, starting from April to September 2023. The methods used in this guidance activity are lectures, discussion methods, and question-and-answer methods. The material provided is in the form of knowledge about work and continuing studies at university. The desired output of this activity is to increase students' understanding of SMA Negeri 8 Tanjung Jabung Timur in the field of work and continue their studies at university. The data were questionnaires distributed to 21 students at the beginning and end of the activity, an average increase in student understanding was obtained from 39.86 to 42.71. If calculated, the N Gain is 0.31, included in the moderate category. Thus, this activity has succeeded in increasing students' awareness of career choices in the future

Abstract

PAN cannot be used as a stand-alone nanofiber, so it needs to be modified through copolymerization with other polymers, such as PVDF. It is composite mutually beneficial for both PVDF/PAN polymers. Study aims to see the effect of process parameters, such as voltage, flow rate and needle tip distance of PVDF/PAN composite nanofiber as well as molecular interaction and crystal structure, to confirm the presence of polymer in the nanofiber composite. The nanofibers with solution parameters PN1: PVDF 6% and PAN 8%, PN2: PVDF 6% and PAN 10%, and PN3: PVDF 6% and PAN 12% were prepared using electrospinning. Morphology of the process parameters of voltage (12kV, 16kV, 18kV), flow rate (30 μl/min, 60 μl/min, 90 μl/min) and needle tip distance (75 mm, 100 mm, 125 mm) were observed. The results showed straight and continuous fibre morphology, with a smooth surface and no beaded structure, with homogeneous fibre distribution with an increase in diameter from 394 ± 79 nm (NF1) to 851 ± 89 nm (NF3). The optimal state was in the solution of PN2: PAN 10% (w/w) and PVDF 6% (w/w), High Voltage 12 kV, Flow Rate PN3: 60 μl/min, and Needle to Collector Distance 75 mm.
