Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a physics learning module on fluid material and to know the student's perception of the module. This research includes research and development. The development Model used is ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The Physics learning module on the fluid material of basic Physics 1 courses has been declared worthy by the validator. Test Result module obtained 85 (very good) for the design aspects of learning, the material aspect is 85.07 (very good), the aspect of readability module is 85.22 (very good), the visualization aspect of the module is 84.11 (very good). The basic Physics Module 1 development fluid material is worth using as one of the learning teaching materials in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning outcomes on the cognitive aspects of students of class X IPA 4 SMA Negeri 10 Kota Jambi on Newton's Law material by using Adobe Flash Cs 6. Learning Media This research is a classroom action research consisting of three cycles. Each cycle includes planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Qualitative data taking with observation of student activity using observation sheet while quantitative data collection that is to know improvement of student learning result by using test (Formative replication) at each end of cycle. In the first cycle the expected learning results are not in accordance with the KKM determined by the school that is 72, on the second cycle there is an increase in learning outcomes but have not reached the KKM that has been determined after the improvement at the time of teaching on cycle III learning outcomes achieved by students have been appropriate with KKM. Based on these results can be concluded that the use of Adobe Flash Cs6 learning media can improve student cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the obstacles in the implementation of the integrated science practicum faced by teachers and students in the 17 State Junior High Schools in Jambi City and 19 Public Schools in Jambi City. This type of research uses a mixed methods approach. The population of this study were integrated science teachers and eighth grade students of 17 Kota Jambi Middle School and Jambi City 19 Middle School with a sample of 133 students and two integrated science teachers. Data collection instruments used student questionnaires and teacher interviews. Data were analyzed statistically descriptive for quantitative data and miles and huberman models for qualitative data. The results showed practicum implementation was 64% with good category in Jambi City 17 Middle School and 66% with good category in Jambi City 19 Middle School, so that the results of the students did not experience obstacles in the implementation of school practicum.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a medium of physics learning using software prezi with the scientific approach of Newton's law material on the movement of high school class X. This research includes research and development or Research and Development using 4D (Four-D) development procedures. The subjects of the trial in this study were students of Muaro Jambi 2 State Senior High School MIPA class X totaling 26 students. The research instruments used were material and media validation questionnaires and student perception questionnaires. Data analysis techniques of students' perceptions were carried out in descriptive statistics. Product specifications are prezi-shaped software using the exe format. The prezi advantage is easy to read because it uses the Zooming User Interface (ZUI) method which can enlarge and highlight certain parts that are being discussed. The results of the expert validation stated that the design used in accordance with the material title and learning objectives was declared valid. The test results of students' perceptions were 68.6 in very good categories and reliability in 0.835 in very high categories. Based on the results obtained that the media prezi with the scientific approach Newton's legal material about motion is suitable to be used as teaching material

Abstract

The limited time and low participation of students in discussion activities in the classroom causes the optimal process of lecturing, especially in the subjects of statistical physics. On the other hand, the rapid development of information technology and social media and the occurrence of a paradigm shift in learning to be an active creative education bring challenges and solutions. The number of lecturers and students who use social media Whatsapp, media that allows sharing of information online, easy, fast and cheap, is an alternative solution for the not optimal learning process in the classroom so far. So it is necessary to do research that produces a social media-based technology integration model for discussion activities outside the classroom. This type of research takes the form of research and development. The process of developing learning media with online discussion using whatsapp refers to the Four-D development model which includes 4 stages: Define, design, development, and Dissemination. The results generated are whatsapp-based online discussion models that can be used as a reference for educators who will utilize whatsapp social media in learning both in school and college. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the understanding of straight-motion concepts through discovery learning-based learning through the talking stick method. This research is a kind of exploratory descriptive research. The subject of the study is a student of grade X MIA 1 SMA Islam Al-Falah Jambi as many as 29 students. Data collection techniques through concept-sorting tests, student skills observation sheets and documentation. Data analysis techniques are performed in a descriptive. Learners follow the learning of discovery learning through the talking stick method of straight-motion material. Learners are enthusiastic to answer questions, brainstorm, and respond to friends ' answers. The test result of concept understanding was obtained on average 77.80. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that discovery learning based learning through the talking stick method can improve the understanding of the straight motion concept.

Abstract

The constant volume type gas thermometer has an important role as a learning medium that can help students understand the concept of absolute temperature more easily and concretely. Considering that this tool is difficult to find in the market, it is necessary to make an effort to make and develop the tool. The purpose of this development research is to produce a product in the form of a fixed volume type gas thermometer that is better than the existing one. The research method used is research development that includes research and data collection, planning, developing product drafts, developing learning materials, learning processes, and evaluation instruments, initial field trials, field trials, refining product field test results, perfecting final products and implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability of pedagogical content knowledge students of Physics Education Jambi University who take School Field Practices (SFP). This research was a survey research. The population of this research was 85 students who are taking SFP. The number of samples used was 20% of the population. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students' pedagogical content knowledge ability was in a good category. Aspects of pedagogical content knowledge consist of subject matter knowledge, instruction representation and strategies, instructional objective and context and knowledge of student understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to improve physics education students' ability to think creatively and critically. The Project Based Learning model was chosen as a solution found by researchers in the field regarding the low ability of students to think creatively and critically, seen from making their paper assignments and displaying their PowerPoint presentations, how to ask and answer questions in Micro-Learning courses. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) is carried out in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, Action Implementation, Observation, Analysis, and Reflection. The data collection techniques were observation, interviews, documentary, and literature studies. The results showed that using the Jambi local wisdom-based Project Based Learning Model in Micro-Learning Courses can Improve Students' Creative and Critical Thinking Abilities. The percentage of students with the ability to think creatively in cycle I was 37.5. In cycle II the percentage increased to 56.8, and in cycle III, the percentage increased to 91.1. Meanwhile, the ability to think critically experienced an increase in cycle I, the percentage obtained was 36.0. In cycle II the percentage was 59.8, and in cycle three, it increased to 80.4.

Abstract

This examine pursuits to research students' wishes for coaching substances used in the physics learning system. This studies is an exploratory descriptive studies with 30 students majoring in science majoring in 11th grade SMA. The studies records became obtained from observation and filling out a wishes questionnaire. observation consequences show that physics learning contains extra texts and physics formulation, but due to the restricted mastering time in each assembly, it's far hard for teachers to provide an explanation for examples of physics concepts determined in normal lifestyles to students. The consequences of the questionnaire analysis display that scholars want teaching substances in the form of enrichment books as a aid within the studying process and can be used independently or with teacher assistants at school.
