Abstract

Control system challenges such as remote access and long-distance command execution can be addressed using supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. SCADA enables real-time monitoring and control of industrial processes, allowing remote decision-making, improving operational efficiency, and accelerating response to issues. It also enhances data transparency, enabling engineers to detect and analyze failures more effectively. However, SCADA implementation often involves high costs and requires skilled personnel for maintenance. To address these limitations, this research developed an affordable SCADA system tailored for small and medium-sized industries. The system used a programmable logic controller (PLC) for control and a human machine interface (HMI) on the remote terminal unit (RTU). Data from the RTU were sent to a master terminal unit (MTU), which was independently developed and enabled remote monitoring and control via industrial internet of things (IIoT) technology using the message queueing telemetry transport (MQTT) protocol. The system monitored two variables: temperature (RTU 1) and rotational speed (RTU 2), aiming to measure communication time and data accuracy. Testing showed sensor accuracy of 98.6% for RTU 1 and 100% for RTU 2, with 100% communication accuracy between layers. The average real-time communication duration was 0.324 s, demonstrating high efficiency and low latency. These results indicate that an IoT-based SCADA system is reliable, cost-effective, and suitable for small to medium industrial applications. It is also easy to replicate and reconfigure, making it a practical solution for broader industrial adoption.

Abstract

Background: Suicide is a significant public health concern among school-aged adolescents. Suicidal ideation (SI) in adolescents are robustly associated with greater risk of concurrent and succeeding suicide attempts. Evidence suggests that suicidal ideation in adolescents is influenced by peer support at school. Purpose: Our aim was to investigate the influence of peer support on school-based suicidal ideation in adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Malang, Indonesia. A total of 179 Adolescents aged 13-15 years were recruited from six classes at junior high schools in Malang by stratified random sampling. An anonymous self-report questionnaire was used to collect demographic characteristics, suicidal ideation, and peer support. Logistic regression was used to test the hypotheses. Results: The results of the multiple logistic regression showed that peer support and protection against suicidal ideation had a significance value of 0.008. This means that peer support influences protection against suicidal ideation. The results also showed that peer support and suicide vulnerability had a significance value of 0.840. This means that peer support did not influence vulnerability to suicidal ideation. Conclusions: Suicide vulnerability is a risk factor for suicidal ideation. Peer support can enhance protective factors against suicidal ideation. Public health nurses can collaborate with school nurses to regularly detect symptoms of suicidal ideation and provide early intervention. Educating peers and teachers about methods to enhance protective factors in adolescents can be beneficial in reducing suicidal ideation.

Abstract

Organizational culture needs to be transformed periodically according to the human resources (employees) in the company, so that the company's goals have an optimal impact on employee performance through training programs provided by the company which will also help to improve employee performance where optimal employee performance will be able to help companies in achieving goals are becoming faster. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of organizational culture and training on employee performance at PT. Marahe Inti Alam Perkasa Langkat. The type of research used is associative. The sampling technique used was a total sampling technique with a total of fifty-five participants. The results of this study were obtained Organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a tcount of 6,792> a t-table value of 2,006. Training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a t-count of 11.064> a t-table value of 2.006 and organizational culture and training have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with an F-value of 78.875> a t-table value of 3.170 or a significance value of 0.000 <alpha (0.05). Expected For companies, it can create an organizational culture and training that is more appropriate or in accordance with the working conditions of employees so that they are increasingly able to create and optimal employee performance.

Abstract

Research to determine the influence of production factors and their efficiency on rice farming of SL-PTT participants and non-SL-PTT participants and non-SL-PTT participants in North Poleang Bombana District. Carried out in May – July 2011. Samples were determined using simple cluster sampling based on villages, as many as 2 villages (50% of the village population). Respondents from each village consisted of 15 participants and 15 non-participants of SL-PTT in a simple random manner (60 samples). Analysis using multiple non-linear regression using the Cobb-Douglas function and price efficiency analysis. Research results: (a) Production Factors; Land area, amount of use of seeds, fertilizer, labor and pesticides are closely related and simultaneously influence the production of lowland rice farming (R; l 0.889 and R2 = 0.790). (b) partially, except for the number of seeds, all production factors have a positive effect, but only fertilizer has a real effect, even at a confidence level of 85%. (c) Efficiency analysis shows that the use of fertilizer, labor and pesticides is not efficient so they can still be added to improve, while seeds are not efficient.
