Abstract

The aims of this research are twofold: (1) to investigate how the reading aloud technique is applied in enhancing the speaking skills of eighth-grade students at MTsN Kota Palopo, and (2) to assess its effectiveness in improving those skills. The study utilized a pre-experimental method, specifically employing a one-group pre-test and post-test design, to evaluate the impact of the treatment. The research population included 288 eighth-grade students, from which a single class—Class C with 32 students—was purposively selected due to their relatively better speaking ability compared to other classes. The results indicated that the use of reading aloud as a teaching strategy had a positive effect on students’ speaking development. This approach incorporated structured oral practice through reading aloud and interactive question-and-answer sessions, targeting the enhancement of accuracy, fluency, and clarity in speech. The mean score from the pre-test was 24.43, categorized as "Very Poor," which significantly improved to 44.71 in the post-test, demonstrating notable progress. A paired sample t-test yielded a t-value of 24.328, surpassing the critical value of 2.093, with a p-value of 0.000, confirming the statistical significance of the treatment. Moreover, a high positive correlation of 0.919 between pre- and post-test scores further underscored the consistent effect of the intervention across students with varying initial proficiency levels. Although a majority of students remained within the "Poor" category, the overall findings highlight reading aloud as a promising strategy for fostering speaking skills in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh pemekaran terhadap pembangunan infrastruktur di Desa Ogolali dengan menggunakan kerangka evaluatif Dunn (efektivitas, efisiensi, kecukupan, pemerataan, responsivitas). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif; data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam (11 informan purposive), dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemekaran berhasil mewujudkan sejumlah output infrastruktur seperti fasilitas pendidikan, irigasi, dengan capaian teknis sekitar 80%; namun pencapaian outcome yang berdampak nyata terhadap kesejahteraan (terutama perbaikan jalan desa) belum konsisten. Faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan fiskal, kapasitas teknis lokal, koordinasi antar-institusi, dan mekanisme partisipasi masyarakat yang belum optimal. Secara umum, pemekaran memperpendek jalur birokrasi dan meningkatkan potensi alokasi sumber daya, tetapi efektivitas dan kecukupan hasil masih perlu penguatan melalui prioritas anggaran untuk infrastruktur kritis, penguatan tata kelola dan transparansi dana, serta mekanisme monitoring partisipatif. Keterbatasan penelitian: studi kasus tunggal dan desain cross-sectional yang membatasi generalisasi.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to identify the various types of farmer agribusiness institutions and to investigate the factors that influenced shallot farmers' group institutional growth in Rumbia District, Jeneponto Regency. Simple random sampling was defined as a sampling technique of every item in the population. The study was conducted out by utilizing a field interview technique with onion commodity questionnaires from farmers, collectors, suppliers, and merchants. The study's findings demonstrated that the diversity of marketing forums used by farmers participating in distribution had two channels: first (producers, collectors, traders, consumers) and second (producers, collectors, traders and consumers) (producers, collectors, inter-district wholesalers, district traders and consumers). The farmer group (X1) had a very significant effect on the growth of farmer institutions as a farmer's economic institution using a significant effect coefficient of 0.331 (p 0.001), then the beta coefficient was significant and the direction was positive. This a coefficient was influence of 0.205 (p>0.005), so that the association of farmer groups (X2) had no effect.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' interest and learning outcomes in Informatics subjects through the implementation of project-based learning with Blockly and Google Sites. The subjects of the study were students of class VIID of SMP Negeri 7 Malang. The research method used was classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of project-based learning through Blockly and Google Sites can improve students' interest in learning, as indicated by an increase in active participation, enthusiasm, and motivation of students during the learning process. In addition, student learning outcomes also showed a significant increase, marked by an increase in the average final test score in each cycle. This study is based on constructivism theory, which highlights the importance of students' roles in the educational process, as well as previous research that has shown the effectiveness of project-based learning methods in improving students' skills and understanding. Therefore, the use of project-based learning methods involving technology such as Blockly and Google Sites can be considered an effective alternative to improve the quality of education in Informatics.

Abstract

Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang adalah kontrasepsi yang dapat dipakai dalam jangka waktu lebih dari dua tahun. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada ibu maupun PUS tentang penggunaan metode kontrasepsi jangka panjang, melalui edukasi berbasis pendekatan pada ibu maupun PUS dalam upaya penggunaan MKJP. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Action Research dengan pendekatan program tindak partisipatif dalam bentuk edukasi kesehatan melalui penyuluhan pada PUS sebanyak 170 Peserta. hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu dan PUS sebelum diberikan penyuluhan kesehatan terdapat 17,6% KK yang tidak mengerti tentang penggunaan MKJP, namun setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan evaluasi post test menunjukkan ibu maupun PUS yang tidak mengeti tentang penggunaan MKJP menjadi 0,59%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut kami harap pihak pemerintah desa dan puskesmas desa bahari dapat memberikan edukasi lanjutan terkait penggunaan MKJP.

Abstract

The innovation of KKN Profesi students aims to increase the interest of students visiting the UPT Library of Muhammadiyah University of Enrekang The method used is a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation to evaluate the condition of the library and the needs of students. The results of this activity include increasing the collection of digital books in the form of e-books, procuring posters, preparing repositories and activating the library's social media accounts. The conclusion of this study shows that the innovation of KKN Profesi students aims to increase the interest of students visiting the UPT Library of Muhammadiyah University of Enrekang The library is expected to attract student visits and strengthen its role as a learning center. Further involvement of librarians and students is very important to support the development of the library in the future.

Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas mengenai Keterampilan Manajerial Kepala Sekolah dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Kinerja Guru di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 17 Luwu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: untuk mengetahui keterampilan manajerial Kepala Sekolah di SMAN 17 Luwu; untuk mengetahui mutu guru di SMAN 17 Luwu; dan untuk mengetahui hambatan dan tantangan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu guru di SMAN 17 Luwu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data seperti observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknis analisis data yang diambil adalah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Guru yang ada di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 17 Luwu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 3 temuan utama. Pertama, Keterampilan manajerial kepala sekolah di SMA Negeri 17 Luwu terlihat dari perencanaan program peningkatan kompetensi guru, supervisi akademik rutin, serta dukungan berupa anggaran, workshop, bimtek, dan diklat. Kepala sekolah juga bekerja sama dengan pengawas dan memberi motivasi, sehingga guru lebih profesional, kreatif, dan berkualitas dalam pembelajaran. Kedua, Mutu guru di SMA Negeri 17 Luwu tercermin dari kualifikasi akademik yang sesuai bidang, kedisiplinan, serta upaya berkelanjutan meningkatkan kompetensi melalui belajar mandiri, pelatihan, dan seminar. Guru juga merancang pembelajaran sesuai karakteristik siswa dengan metode variatif dan inovatif untuk menciptakan suasana belajar interaktif. Ketiga, Hambatan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu guru di SMA Negeri 17 Luwu mencakup keterbatasan anggaran dan rendahnya motivasi sebagian guru akibat faktor keluarga, sosial, dan sikap apatis. Kendala ini diatasi melalui pertemuan untuk mencari solusi serta dukungan dari dinas pendidikan, komite sekolah, orang tua, dan kebijakan pemerintah agar guru tetap terdorong meningkatkan kompetensi dan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Used cooking oil is known to contain lipids resulting from the oxidation process at high heating temperatures. The oxidation process in cooking oil continuously causes the formation of alkyl peroxide radicals. Used cooking oil is at risk of disrupting water and soil ecosystems if disposed of into the environment without further management. In this study, a characterization test of corn cob activated charcoal was carried out based on SNI 06-3730-1995, characterization using the Surface Area Analyzer (SAA) instrument and a test of the peroxide number in used cooking oil. The results of the activated charcoal characterization test showed that it still met the requirements of SNI 06-3730-1995 and showed an increase in surface area of ​​109,705 m2/g in the SAA test. In the control before the adsorption process using corn cob activated charcoal, the peroxide number was 30 mek O2/kg. In the refining process of used cooking oil, there was a decrease in the peroxide number. The optimum decrease in the peroxide number was found at a charcoal mass of 4 g with a contact time of 45 minutes. The peroxide value obtained was 8 mek O2/kg, which was a decrease of around 73.33% from the used cooking oil before refining. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of human resource (HRM) management in building a collaborative work culture in MSMEs in Makassar City. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to explore the practices, challenges, and strategies implemented by MSMEs. The research sample was purposively selected based on the criteria of small and medium-sized MSMEs with 10–100 employees and having been operating for at least three years. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with business owners, HR managers, and employees; direct observation in the workplace; and policy documentation and organizational reports. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis methods, which included data reduction, grouping by theme, and data triangulation. The results show that MSMEs in Makassar implement strategies such as strengthening internal communication, teamwork training, implementing participatory leadership, and using technology to support collaboration. However, obstacles such as limited resources, individualistic work patterns, and minimal government support remain key challenges. Nevertheless, MSMEs that successfully implement a collaborative work culture demonstrate increased efficiency, innovation, and employee motivation. This study concludes that HRM plays a strategic role in building a collaborative work culture. Leadership support, investment in employee development, and collaboration between teams are the keys to success in increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of reading interest on the reading comprehension ability of sixth-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 11 Bara baraya. This research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The sample consisted of 22 students selected from the entire sixth-grade population. Reading interest data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 10 Likert-scale statements, while reading comprehension ability was measured through an objective test comprising five items. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, a linearity test using residual scatterplots, and simple linear regression analysis. The normality test showed that both variables were normally distributed (p > 0.05), allowing regression analysis to be conducted. The linearity test indicated that the relationship between the two variables was linear. Regression analysis revealed a significance value of 0.002 (< 0.05) and produced the regression equation Y=6.182+0.540X, indicating that reading interest has a positive and significant effect on reading comprehension ability. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.374) shows that 37.4% of students’ reading comprehension ability can be explained by reading interest. Thus, this study concludes that increasing reading interest contributes significantly to the improvement of sixth-grade students’ reading comprehension ability.
