Abstract

Penyakit kardiovaskular merupakan penyebab kematian utama di Indonesia. Keterlambatan penanganan dan kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pertolongan pertama pada kasus kegawatdaruratan kardiovaskular dan rumah tangga menjadi faktor penting yang mempengaruhi tingkat keberhasilan penanganan.  Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota Majelis Taklim Nurul Falah Kelurahan Baruga, Kota Kendari dalam kewaspadaan dini serangan penyakit kardiovaskular dan pertolongan pertama kegawatdaruratan rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui dua tahap: 1) Pendidikan kesehatan tentang penyakit kardiovaskular dan pertolongan pertama, 2) Pelatihan dan simulasi pertolongan pertama pada kasus henti jantung dan kegawatdaruratan rumah tangga. Peserta terdiri dari 11 anggota Majelis Taklim. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan, serta uji keterampilan untuk menilai kompetensi pertolongan pertama. Terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan peserta setelah pendidikan kesehatan (p=0,003), dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 14,6 menjadi 22,7. Seluruh peserta (100%) berhasil lulus uji keterampilan pertolongan pertama pada kasus henti jantung dan kegawatdaruratan rumah tangga. Program pemberdayaan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota Majelis Taklim dalam kewaspadaan dini dan pertolongan pertama kasus kardiovaskular dan kegawatdaruratan rumah tangga.

Abstract

The Komala Village community has many goats but there are many problems faced by the community such as dead fetuses, malnutrition, limited health care, environmental conditions, lack of knowledge and training and limited infrastructure. Therefore, the aim of this extension activity is to provide education to the farming community about the correct way to raise goats. This activity was carried out on Friday, March 26, 2023 at 16.00 WITA - Finish, located at the Gazebo of the Komala Village Head's House, South Wangi-Wangi District, Wakatobi. Counseling materials presented to the community: (1) Types of appropriate and balanced feed for goats, (2) Natural feed, supplementary feed, and fermented feed, (3) How to organize feeding according to age, weight, and maintenance objectives, (4) Efficient feeding methods, and (5) Mixing and serving feed techniques. After following the goat farming extension, the community response was as follows: (1) enthusiasm and participation, (2) increased understanding, (3) interest in new practices, (4) awareness of the importance of improving goat rearing practices (5) satisfaction with information, (6) positive perception of benefits, (7) desire for further training, and (8) better collaboration. The conclusion from this community service activity is that the community in Komala Village still has low knowledge regarding how to raise goats. Although they have experience in raising goats, many things can still be improved in farming practices to achieve better results. As for what needs to be improved in community knowledge, such as feed management, care, production management, use of technology, and business management skills.

Abstract

Masyarakat kecamatan Poasia merupakan masyarakat yang gemar memelihara ternak unggas tetapi sistem pemeliharaan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat pada umumnya bersifat tradisional dengan teknologi beternak ayam yang belum memadai, akibatnya produksi rendah. Kegiatan penerapan ipteks ini merupakan program penerapan ipteks yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemberdayaan potensi masyarakat di Kecamatan Poasia, khususnya dengan memberikan bimbingan teknis tentang cara menjalankan mesin tetas telur sederhana kepada anggota kelompok Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah: (1) ceramah dan diskusi mengenai potensi, prospek dan manfaat mesin tetas, (2) demonstrasi dan pembimbingan mesin tetas serta pemilihan bibit telur tetas yang baik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa materi penyuluhan mendapat respon positif dan cukup memuaskan dari para peserta mengingat selama ini belum pernah dilakukan kegiatan serupa. Umumnya para peserta ingin mengadopsi materi tentang cara menjalankan mesin tetas dan cara memilih telur tetas. Disimpulkan bahwa para khalayak sasaran yang terdiri dari para anggota kelompok PKBM sangat antusias dan aktif dalam kegiatan bimbingan teknis pembuatan mesin tetas sederhana. Secara umum para peserta pelatihan berkeinginan untuk menjadikan usaha ternak ayam buras sebagai mata pencaharian pokok disamping kegiatan usaha tani mereka.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the macronutrient content of local food (Sinonggi) and identify the level of acceptability (color, taste, smell, texture and crunchiness) of Sinonggi. This type of research is descriptive, with a total of 20 panelists. Data on the nutritional content of Sago was measured using the acceptance level using the Likert scale hedonic test. The results of this research found that Sago has a higher carbohydrate content than protein and fat, and the Sinonggi that many people like is Sinonggi S3.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the macronutrient content of fish chips and identify the level of acceptance (color, taste, aroma, texture and crispiness) and the results of anthropometric measurements of stunted toddlers. This type of research is descriptive, with a sample of stunted toddlers of 21 intervention groups and 21 control groups. The number of panelists was 20 people. Data on the nutritional content of chips was analyzed in the UHO integrated laboratory, data on the level of acceptance using a Likert scale hedonic test. The results of the study in 100 grams of fish chips contained 3.62% carbohydrates, 2.71% protein, 2.30% fat and TPC 61 X 103 CFU / g. The level of acceptance of the color, aroma, taste, texture and crispiness of tuna fish chips combined with turmeric (curcumin sp) mostly liked A1 chips. Then the average weight of stunted toddlers intervention is 8.57 kg and control is 10.02 kg. The average height of intervention is 75.50 cm and control is 81.79 cm and the average Z-Score intervention is -2.66 and control is -3.17. The conclusion is that tuna fish chips have a higher carbohydrate content than protein and fat and the chips that are most preferred are A1 tuna fish chips. Suggestions for the East Kabaena sub-district government and toddler mothers so that tuna fish chips can be consumed routinely for Stunting Toddlers.

Abstract

Produksi daging yang terdistribusi ke masyarakat hendaknya memperhatikan prinsip higienitas daging dalam prosesnya. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mengenai aspek keamanan daging yang memenuhi persyaratan ASUH. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Potong Hewan kota Kendari, yang meliputi kegiatan penyuluhan, ceramah, focus group discussion dan bimbingan teknis pemeriksaan kesehatan ternak dan pemeriksaan daging. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya transfer pengetahuan kepada peserta dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu keamanan daging di RPH dan sebagai upaya mencegah penyakit yang berasal dari pangan (foodborne disease) dan zoonotic disease. Produksi daging yang higienis diharapkan dapat diterapkan disemua aspek di RPH mulai dari pemeriksaan kesehatan hewan, pemeriksaan daging, karkas dan jeroan dan penanganan daging hingga sampai ke konsumen sehingga daging tersebut sesuai dengan prinsip aman, sehat, utuh dan halal.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where blood pressure exceeds 140/90 mmHg. Hypertension can cause complications of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, heart disease and diabetes mellitus. The number of hypertension cases in Lemo-Lemo in 2019 was 112 new cases of hypertension and in 2020 increased to 150 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sodium consumption and physical activity with the incidence of hypertension. Quantitative research design, cross sectional study approach. The population is all coastal communities aged 18-50 years in the Lemo-Lemo Environment, Bombana Regency as many as 180 people and a sample of 64 people obtained by Simple Random Sampling. Data were analyzed using Chi-square test and Fisher Exact. The results obtained p value of 0.014 for the relationship of sodium intake with the incidence of hypertension, p value of 0.018 for the relationship of physical activity with the incidence of hypertension, The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between sodium consumption and physical activity with the incidence of hypertension. The suggestion of this research is for the coastal community of the Lemo-Lemo environment, to limit the consumption of salted fish, shrimp and shell. For the government of the Lemo-Lemo Environment, to provide education related to the prevention of hypertension through limiting foods that are high in sodium and for further researchers, to analyze other factors that cause hypertension such as macronutrient intake, family history, stress factors, age and obesity factors.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a problem of nutrition that still widely found in the community, especially in the Abeli Health Center where the case of malnutrition in January-May in 2022 is 33 people. One of the efforts to tackle lack of nutrition is to provide additional food in the form of Laguna pudding which is made from local food, namely purple sweet potatoes and dragon fruit. This study aims to determine the nutritional content and level of flavor of Laguna pudding in toodler Nutrition. This research is a descriptive research with a complete random design. The population of this study was that all of the malnutrition in the Abeli Health Center amounted to 33 people with sampling techniques using total sampling. This research data was obtained by sharing a questionnaire to find out the level of preference while the nutritional content was obtained by conducting carbohydrate, protein and beta -carotene examinations in the MIPA laboratory at Halu Oleo University. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the highest carbohydrate content in Laguna pudding A1 was 35.52%, while in Laguna pudding A2 it was 29.20%. Likewise, the protein content of Laguna Pudding A1 is more, namely 1.91%, while Laguna Pudding A2 is 1.55%. Then the beta-carotene content in Laguna Pudding A1 is 10.66 g/g while Laguna pudding A2 is 9.95 g/g. Then the level of liking for Laguna pudding A1 mostly liked as many as 23 people (69.7%) the rest did not like as many as 10 people (30.3%). While the Laguna pudding A2 mostly disliked as many as 22 people (66.7%) and liked as many as 11 people (33.3%). The conclusion of this study is the content of Carbohydrates, Protein and Beta-carotene and the level of preference for Pudding Laguna A1 is higher than A2. Suggestions for the health center, especially nutrition workers, are to disseminate the benefits of Laguna Pudding to overcome malnutrition and for parents who have toodler to provide Laguna Pudding as additional food for Toddler.

Abstract

Nutritional education for the first 1000 days of life is an education that contains the preparation and improvement of nutrition from 270 days during pregnancy and the first 730 days of life since the baby is born. This study aims to determine effect of nutritional education on knowledge and attitudes about the First 1000 Days of Life in future bride in Abeli’s religious affairs office. This research is a type of pre-experimental, with a One Group Pre-Post Test design. The sample in this study were 39 female catin in the KUA working area of ​​Abeli ​​District which were obtained by sampling technique using the Slovin formula. The variables studied consisted of the dependent variable, namely knowledge and attitudes, and the independent variable, namely nutrition education in the first 1000 days of life. Data analysis using Wilcoxon (α = <0.05)The results of the research show that the p value of the knowledge and attitude variables is 0.000 < α (0.05 ). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of nutritional education in the first 1000 days of life in knowledge and attitudes of future bride in Abeli’s religious affairs office.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infection is an infectious disease of the upper and lower respiratory tract caused by bacteria or viruses enters the respiratory system, causing symptoms like a cough, runny nose, hoarseness, and fever. and mucus discharge for less than 14 days. The problem of nutrition is essentially a public health problem whose handling cannot be done by approaching medical services and health services alone. The causes of nutritional problems are multifactorial, so they must involve various related sectors. Despite the fact that smoking can reduce morbidity and mortality, it remains a public health issue. In addition to leading to mortality and morbidity. This type of research is descriptive research. Descriptive research is research with a method to describe a research result. The Simple Random Sampling method was used to collect the sample for this study. Univariate data were obtained in the form of sex, weight/age, and number of smokers.
