Abstract

This study investigates the awareness levels of economics teachers in senior high schools regarding curriculum changes in the digital era, with a focus on internet use in Banjarmasin City and Barito Kuala (Batola) Regency, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Using a survey research design, data were gathered through documentation and questionnaires to measure teachers’ self-efficacy and concerns in adopting e-learning practices. The population of this study was all economics teachers in the two regions, while the sample consisted of selected economics teachers who participated in the survey. The study refers to curriculum changes within the framework of the Indonesian national curriculum, particularly the transition toward the Kurikulum 2013 (K13) and digital-based learning adaptation in the current curriculum policy. Results show that teachers’ overall internet self-efficacy is moderate, with an average score of 3.73 on a 6-point Likert scale. Teachers rated reading texts from websites highest (4.15), while creating simple webpages with text, images, and links was rated lowest (2.65). About 54.76% of economics teachers actively engaged in e-learning, reaching the management (2.38%), consequence (21.43%), collaboration (9.52%), and refocusing (21.43%) stages of concern. A significant positive correlation exists between internet self-efficacy and levels of concern in implementing e-learning. The findings highlight the importance of boosting teachers’ confidence in using digital tools to increase their engagement with e-learning. It is recommended that economics education programs raise awareness of digital-era curriculum changes, provide practical e-learning resources, and offer continuous mentoring to help teachers effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices.

ABSTRACT The transformation toward a green economy requires strengthening sustainable entrepreneurial capacity, including within Indonesian diaspora communities abroad. This International Partnership Community Service Program (PkM-KI) aims to enhance green entrepreneurship literacy and the capability to design green businesses based on the Green Business Model Canvas (GBMC) among the Indonesian diaspora in Japan. The program was implemented through a blended approach consisting of online webinars, offline workshops, and digital mentoring. A total of 30 participants attended the offline workshop and served as respondents for the pre-test and post-test. The results indicate an increase in the average score from 2.30 to 4.46, reflecting a gain of 2.16 points. The program produced tangible outputs in the form of community-based green business idea designs and the establishment of the Greenpreneur Indonesia–Japan forum. The program contributed to improving participants’ cognitive capacity, self-confidence, and strengthening the socio-economic networking of the diaspora. The blended community empowerment model based on GBMC proved to be effective and adaptive to the geographical and time constraints faced by participants. This program is recommended for replication among other diaspora communities as part of the internationalization of community engagement initiatives based on the green economy.   Keywords: green entrepreneurship, Indonesian diaspora, green business model canvas, community empowerment, green economy.   ABSTRAK Transformasi menuju ekonomi hijau menuntut penguatan kapasitas kewirausahaan berkelanjutan, termasuk pada komunitas diaspora Indonesia di luar negeri. Abstract

This study investigates the condition of literacy and numeracy skills among vocational high school students in Central Java, focusing on Surakarta, Sukoharjo, and Karanganyar. The research is motivated by national concerns regarding Indonesia’s low performance in international assessments and the critical role of literacy and numeracy in vocational education. The study aims to explore students’ lived experiences, contributing factors, and school responses related to literacy and numeracy challenges. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving students, classroom teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, and student affairs administrators. The findings indicate an imbalance between literacy and numeracy competencies, where numeracy shows gradual improvement while literacy remains a significant challenge, particularly in reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and interpretation of long texts. These conditions are influenced by digital distractions, limited reading habits, weak learning foundations, and emotional factors such as low confidence and learning anxiety. The study concludes that strengthening literacy and numeracy in vocational education requires a holistic approach integrating humanistic pedagogy, contextual learning, responsible technology use, and collaborative support from schools and families.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology over the past decade has fundamentally transformed educational ecosystems worldwide. Innovations such as artificial intelligence (AI), adaptive learning, learning analytics, and digital administration systems have reshaped how schools communicate, manage data, and build their institutional identity. In this context, digital transformation is no longer merely an instructional enhancement but has become a strategic necessity for educational institutions to maintain relevance and competitiveness in the digital era (Wang, 2024). Along with these developments, public expectations toward transparency, professionalism, and digital credibility of schools have also increased. Parents and prospective students increasingly rely on digital information such as websites, social media, and multimedia profiles when evaluating the quality of a school. Therefore, the construction of a strong digital profile plays a crucial role in educational branding, influencing public perception and shaping institutional identity (Keller & Swaminathan, 2020; Wibowo & Lestari, 2021). A well-developed school digital profile not only presents factual information but also functions as a strategic communication tool that showcases values, programs, achievements, and cultural identity. However, many schools especially those with limited human resources struggle to produce professional and competitive digital publications. Challenges typically arise from limited design skills, inadequate documentation equipment, and low digital literacy among teachers. As noted by Li & Chen (2023), AI offers transformative potential to address these limitations by supporting automated content generation, enhancing visual materials, and accelerating digital production processes. In educational contexts, AI provides an accessible and efficient solution for schools seeking to strengthen their branding without requiring advanced technical expertise. SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Wuryantoro represents a relevant case study because it has recently begun integrating AI to develop its digital school profile and improve institutional branding. While previous documentation was fragmented, inconsistent, and limited in visual quality, the adoption of AI tools such as AI-based text generation, photo enhancement applications, and automated graphic design platforms has enabled the school to redesign its digital presence more systematically and professionally. Despite the relevance of this topic, existing research on AI implementation in school branding remains limited, with most studies still focusing on classroom learning and administrative automation. Thus, there is a gap in understanding how AI contributes specifically to digital profile development as a branding strategy particularly in schools with limited human resources. Based on this gap, the present study aims to analyze the implementation of AI in developing the digital school profile of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Wuryantoro and to evaluate its impact on content quality, school branding, and teacher digital literacy. This study positions AI not only as a technical tool but also as an enabler for institutional transformation and capacity building.
