Abstract

Abstract

Local governments continuously strive to provide the best public services to their citizens, one of which is tax administration services through digital platforms. Each region faces unique challenges in developing an online system for local tax administration, making it crucial to understand the factors influencing the effectiveness of these services. This study uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a conceptual framework and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) using the Smart PLS application to analyze the factors affecting the acceptance of the Local Tax Administration System (SiPAD) by 131 taxpayers in Boyolali Regency. The results of hypothesis testing reveal that experience, compatibility, complexity, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness have varying impacts on the acceptance of SiPAD, with three hypotheses accepted and seven rejected. These findings underscore the importance of making SiPAD user-friendly, compatible, and perceived as useful to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax administration and increase local tax revenue. The study also highlights the need for adequate training and socialization for taxpayers to keep pace with rapid technological developments. A well-implemented system is expected to expand the taxpayer base and support the success of local tax administration reforms.

Abstract

Stunting prevalence in Indonesia has exhibited a relatively consistent trend, with rates of 36.8% in 2007, 35.6% in 2010, and a slight increase to 37.2% in 2013, though showing a decline to 30.8% in 2018. Despite this decrease, Indonesia's stunting rates remain higher than the global prevalence of 22.2%, indicating a significant public health concern. Stunting poses long-term health risks, and early prevention is crucial. This article review aims to identify factors contributing to child stunting in Indonesia, utilizing the WHO's conceptual framework. Employing various study designs and extensive literature search, the review identified 15 relevant articles, highlighting factors like exclusive breastfeeding, household economic status, maternal education, and environmental conditions as key determinants of child stunting.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the pivotal role of leadership and business strategy in addressing the challenges of the rapidly changing and uncertain business environment known as VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous). In the context of ongoing globalization and technological transformation, organizations are facing increasing pressure to adapt and innovate. This study employs a comprehensive literature review methodology to identify key elements of effective leadership in managing the uncertainty, complexity, diversity, and ambiguity associated with VUCA. The research results yield a leadership and strategy model that integrates essential elements, including adaptive leadership, collaborative leadership, and responsive strategies. This model provides practical guidance for business leaders in developing strategies to tackle VUCA challenges and capitalize on existing opportunities. In a fast-paced business world, a deeper understanding of how to effectively combine these elements becomes the key to long-term success. This research holds significant relevance in understanding how organizations can achieve sustainability in the VUCA era and enhance their competitiveness. The proposed model offers a framework that can be applied across various industry sectors and can assist organizations in facing the challenges of an increasingly uncertain business environment more successfully. Keywords: Adaptation; Business; Leadership; Strategy; VUCA World.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/E3J/v6i2.124-132

Abstract

This study uses the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) approach to analyze the factors that influence local tax revenue in Boyolali Regency, Central Java. Although regional autonomy provides opportunities, dependence on central transfers is still high. The last five years of data show good target achievement, but the contribution of local own-source revenue (PAD) to the total revenue of the Regional Budget (APBD) is relatively small. Qualitative methods with a post-positivism paradigm were used, and triangulation was carried out based on the results of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study found that Boyolali Regency has not fully met the criteria or standards in the formulation of strategies to increase tax revenue according to the SOAR framework. The strengths of Boyolali Regency lie in the size of its government area, which is the basis of the PBB object, as well as the diversity of local culture. Opportunities are the large number of PBB objects that are still not registered as tax objects and the large amount of uncollected tax receivables. Aspirations are not taken seriously, and the measurement of results has not fully considered the real potential of local tax revenue. In facing this challenge, further efforts are needed to formulate a more comprehensive strategy involving various parties. Suggestions for BKD Boyolali are to consider the utilization of local culture, expansion of the PBB base, increased cooperation that provides added value, increased community participation, and setting targets in accordance with existing regional potential. And the suggestion to the next researcher is to do a comparison with other objects or methods. With the implementation of the right strategy, it is expected to reduce dependence on the transfer of funds from the central government and achieve an increase in local tax revenue and a positive contribution to regional development.

Abstract

West Java has a road map for 2017-2020 related to developing world-class tourist destination areas. Bandung, Cirebon, and Ciletuh and their surroundings are included in the three priority areas of tourist destinations in West Java. Ciletuh and its surrounding tourist destinations have the lowest search popularity compared to Bandung and Cirebon areas. This study aimed to determine the level of satisfaction of tourists visiting the Ciletuh area and its surroundings. This study uses sentiment analysis using the orange application with the Vader method for sentiment classification and Ekman for emotion classification. The data is taken from Google Maps and Google Reviews in English in Ciletuh and surrounding tourist destinations using web scraping techniques. The sentiment analysis results show that tourists visiting Ciletuh and its surrounding tourist destinations have a high level of satisfaction. Positive sentiment on reviews reached 77.56%, neutral sentiment 17.15%, and negative sentiment 5.29%. The emotion classification analysis was dominated by joy at 61.5%, followed by surprise, fear, sadness, anger, and disgust. Many negative sentiments and emotions are related to difficult road access to tourist attractions. This research is expected to be input for stakeholders regarding positive and negative reviews on Ciletuh tourist destinations and their surroundings.
