Abstract

This study aimed to examine factors related to the quality of life in women at menopause. This cross-sectional study included 53 women aged 45 to 65 who were at menopause, with self-reported good general health and not receiving hospital treatment, and were willing to participate as respondents. The Menopause-Specific Quality of Life (MENQOL) questionnaire assessed quality of life across four domains: vasomotor, psychosocial, physical, and sexual. Data analysis involved univariate analysis using frequency tables and crosstabs, bivariate analysis using correlation tests, and multivariate analysis using chi-square tests. The bivariate analysis revealed a significant association between education and quality of life (p = 0.000). Additionally, the age of menarche (p = 0.022) and income (p = 0.006) were significant factors. The multivariate analysis confirmed that both income (p = 0.021) and frequency of sexual activity (p = 0.032) significantly impacted the quality of life. The quality of life among women at menopause was influenced by factors such as education, age of menarche, income, and early menopause. Income and the frequency of sexual activity particularly affected the quality of life, specifically in the sexual domain. This research holds implications highlighting the need for targeted interventions to help women prepare for menopause and mitigate physical complaints.

Abstract

The absence of a model that simultaneously integrates the social, legal, and health dimensions hinders efforts to build community resilience in the era of global health crises. This study develops the Integrative Tridomain Model (Social–Legal–Health) to design comprehensive interventions that sustainably strengthen community resilience amid global health crises. Employing a conceptual approach with a descriptive orientation, this research constructs the Integrative Tridomain Model through a systematic synthesis of cross-disciplinary literature to broaden the understanding of community resilience in the context of global health emergencies. The findings indicate that the development of the Integrative Tridomain Model marks a paradigmatic leap in conceptualizing and fostering community resilience during global health crises. The model offers an epistemological synthesis that unites social, legal, and health knowledge; an ontological framework that perceives resilience as a systemic and relational entity; and an axiological foundation that prioritizes humanitarian values, justice, and sustainability as its core objectives. By merging the strengths of these three domains, the model not only addresses existing challenges but also shapes a more adaptive and inclusive order, enabling communities to endure and thrive in the face of complex and recurrent uncertainties.

Abstract

The main problems in telemedicine include the lack of uniformity in international regulations, limited technological infrastructure in some countries, and data protection and patient privacy. Additionally, legal responsibilities and malpractice risks have not been standardized. Gaps in access to services, especially in remote areas, and ethical challenges and quality standards are also obstacles. The purpose of this research is to find out international legal considerations regarding the use of Telemedicine and find solutions to overcome Telemedicine legal issues. This research uses a normative juridical approach with an emphasis on comparative studies. The results of the research were then analyzed qualitatively. Based on research results, show that Telemedicine is regulated differently in various countries. In Indonesia, it is regulated by Minister of Health Regulation Number 20 of 2019 for diagnosis, treatment, and continuing education with service costs borne by the health facility. Malaysia has a Telemedicine Act 1997, focused on follow-up care and drug prescriptions, growing rapidly in the private sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. Argentina published telehealth guidelines in 2019 and 2022, requiring health insurance companies to adopt teleconsultation platforms. Austria through the TeleHealth Commission since 2013 regulates telemonitoring, teletherapy, teleconciliation, and teleconferencing with strict data protection laws. Mexico integrates telehealth in general health services, regulated by IMSS and ISSSTE, while Russia regulates through the Health Protection Law with strict IT requirements. International telemedicine legal solutions require harmonization of regulations, personal data protection, information security standards, recognition of professional licenses, dispute resolution mechanisms, and legal liability regulations. Education and public awareness are essential to overcome these challenges, supported by international cooperation that strengthens the global legal infrastructure of telemedicine.
