Abstract

The price of rice depends on the relative influence of certain market and the mechanism of price transmission of one market to another (farm gate market system). The analysis of market integration can be obtained through some measurements among others by price correlation and price transmission analyses. This research is to analyze the integration of free market in some districts of Lampung Province. The samples are two regions which are Central Lampung, which is the production center, and Bandar Lampung as the center of consumers market. The data used are monthly time sequel data provided by the Food Crops and Horticulture Office and the result of observation in some markets both in Central Lampung and Bandar Lampung. The data related to price of rice in the markets were obtained from the markets in the two regions within 2009 until 2011.Based on the analyses, the correlation price of rice in producer and consumer levels in Lampung Province indicated by the value of price transmission is bigger than one. This indicates that if there is a price of rice change in the level of retailers as big as one percent, it will be followed by the changes as big as 1,783 % in the farmers. It also means that the changes in the level of farmers are slightly bigger than the price in retailers. The value of the correlation analyses of free market of rice indicated by IMC is 0.415. This indicates that integration level of both markets is relatively high. If IMC < 1 or close to zero, the market integration level will be higher. The market in farmers level and retailers in Lampung Province appears to have high level of integration. Key words: rice market, market integration

Abstract

This research is aimed at finding the following ;(1) Testing heteoskedasdicity, multicolinearity, normal distribution and autocorrelation at Cobb-Douglas production function (2) Identifying production factors which influence broilers production in the avian flu infected area, using Cobb-Douglas production function analysis (3) Finding out the natural environment effect of avian flu to productivity and income of broiler farmer. This research was conducted in Tanjungkarang Barat, Telukbetung Barat, Sukarame, and Tanjung Senang. The method used was survey method.  The number of the sample was 25 chicken farmers. Cobb-Douglas function analysis was applied to view avian influenza effect to the income by using total output, total cost and output price variables. The result shows that the influencing factors are area, poultry and food at < 0.05 real point. Meanwhile vaccine and labor have no effect to the broiler production at > 5% real point. The dummy variable also has no effect. The effect of avian influenza to the average income at the infected area is bigger than at the uninfected area. Key word:, income, production, avian influenza(AI)

Abstract

Coffee is an agriculture commodity which is has very important meaning for economic in  Lampung.  Based on acreage, coffee plantation in Lampung effort by the most of people traditional farming.   This research was conduct to identify the factors which was influence coffee  production and then to determine coffee production response.  Production, acreage, and productivity condition of coffee on the time series data was analysis with ordinary last square for production elasticity . The analysis showed that  production elasticity value was more than one (EQ,P = 1,349). These condition mean coffee production was responsive with the domestic price change.  If there were coffee domestic price changing will  followed by coffee  production response. While the factors which influence coffee acreage were the last year domestic price, climate, and  the acreage on the year before.  Then, the productivity of coffee determined by three year ago domestic price, coffee acreage, climate, and last year coffee productivity.  Kata Kunci:  respon produksi, luas areal tanam, produktivitas harga domestic,                       elastisitas produksi
