Abstract

This study aims to describe the essence of the implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model in improving the learning outcomes of science and science subjects in grade 5 SDN 2 GUMIRIH. The problem raised in this study is the existence of problems in the learning process such as the emergence of students' boredom with the use of monotonous learning models that cause some students to still not be able to understand the material as a whole and have an impact on the acquisition of low social science learning outcomes, so there is a need for improvement in the application of creative and innovative learning models such as the PJBL model. The method used in the study is a qualitative descriptive approach using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. As for the analysis technique and validity of the data, it uses member checks and credibility tests. The results of the study show that the implementation of the PJBL model in grade 5 of SDN 2 GUMIRIH is in accordance with the essence of Project Based Learning itself, which focuses on creating projects that are used as the main facilitator to achieve the learning goals that have been set from the beginning. It's just that there is a difference in the use of the learning syntax, in terms of forming groups for project creation which is changed to individual project making activities. The conclusion that researchers can draw is that the implementation of PJBL in grade 5 SDN 2 GUMIRIH is in accordance with the essence of the PJBL model itself and can overcome the problems that occur and can support the improvement of social science learning outcomes of grade 5 students.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' learning outcomes in reading poetry through the application of demonstration methods in class VIII of Muhammadiyah 11 Rogojampi Middle School. The background to this research is the low ability of students to read poetry expressively, caused by conventional learning methods that do not involve students' liveliness. This research uses a Class Action Research (PTK) approach with two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The research subjects were 16 students with varying levels of ability. The results of the pre-cycle observations showed that the majority of students were in the category of sufficient and insufficient grades, with an average of 59.37. After the application of the demonstration method, there was a significant increase in cycle I with the average value reaching 73.43. Students experience development in terms of intonation, expression, articulation, and appreciation when reading poetry. In addition to improving technical skills, this method also has a positive impact on students' learning motivation and self-confidence. The results of the study concluded that the demonstration method was effectively used in learning to read poetry because it was able to integrate cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Therefore, this method is recommended to be applied in the teaching of other literary materials that require the expressive and interpretive involvement of students directly.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a personal approach method to enhance learning motivation and child engagement at TK PGRI 3 Jatibanteng. The study is motivated by the fact that young children possess diverse characteristics, mindsets, abilities, and temperaments, necessitating instructional strategies tailored to individual needs. The results indicate that the personal approach was implemented optimally and systematically through various enjoyable learning activities. Teachers provided direct guidance to each child, adapted instructional strategies to individual characteristics, and encouraged active participation throughout the learning process. Teachers acted not only as facilitators but also as motivators, offering encouragement and attention suited to the children's needs. The personal approach successfully boosted learning motivation, evidenced by the children's enthusiasm, enjoyment, and interest in learning activities. Furthermore, this method positively impacted child engagement and participation; children who were previously passive became more communicative, cooperative, and active, while also demonstrating polite and courteous communication skills. The successful implementation of this method was also supported by parental involvement in guiding, educating, and monitoring the children's behavior within the family environment. Thus, the personal approach serves as an effective instructional strategy for enhancing motivation and engagement while simultaneously stimulating cognitive, social, and emotional development. This method warrants continued implementation as an alternative instructional approach in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes through the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model, supported by Wordwall interactive learning media, focusing on the topic of constructing question sentences for third-grade students at MI Raudhatus Shalihin Tamansari Sumbermalang. The study employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects comprised 20 students. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. The implementation of the Wordwall-assisted STAD model involved material presentation, the formation of heterogeneous groups, group discussion and collaboration, interactive exercises using Wordwall, individual evaluation, and the awarding of group recognition. The results indicate that the Wordwall-assisted STAD model successfully enhanced student engagement and Indonesian language learning outcomes. The average learning outcome score rose from 49.0 in the pre-cycle stage to 88.0 in Cycle II, Meeting 2. Class mastery also increased from 20% in the pre-cycle stage to 95% in Cycle II, Meeting 2, with 19 out of 20 students meeting the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). The increase in class mastery reached 75 percentage points, surpassing the research success indicator of 80%. Thus, the Wordwall-assisted STAD cooperative learning model is effective for improving Indonesian language learning outcomes—specifically regarding the construction of question sentences—for third-grade students at MI Raudhatus Shalihin Tamansari Sumbermalang.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide an understanding of simple bookkeeping for TAPE business actors in Pakem village, Pakem sub-district, Bondowoso district. Entrepreneurship is something that is very hotly discussed, starting from creating types of business such as permits from the relevant government to setting the concept which must be more measurable so that the business being developed becomes more useful and produces positive results. The method used is based on the criteria for achieving maximum understanding and outcomes regarding bookkeeping. so that business actors can do it well. Based on understanding through counseling activities and workshops regarding bookkeeping using the TAPEntar type, the pre-questionnaire results were 93.2% in the category of never having attended training, while the post-questionnaire results at the end could increase drastically to 98.2% who already understood bookkeeping using TAPEntar.

Abstract

This community service aims to apply local wisdom skills by learning to dance Rerere in Sidorejo village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang Regency. By using the training implementation method for children and teenagers at the service location with 11 times training and 1 time peak performance. In conclusion, the application of traditional dance is local wisdom that needs to be preserved, by transforming Rerere dance skills is a form of imparting education in the form of culture which is characteristic of the Indonesian nation. Rerere dance training was conducted in Sidorejo Village, Rowokangkung District, Lumajang Regency with participants ranging from children to teenagers. This implementation was prepared to welcome Indonesia's 79th Independent day, to be precise, August 17 2024.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sembulung Village face challenges in enhancing their competitiveness and business sustainability in the digital era. These challenges include limited understanding and skills in utilizing digital platforms for effective product marketing. This community service aims to provide practical and applicable solutions through the implementation of relevant digital marketing strategies. The program also analyzes the potential of local products with high market value and strategies for optimizing digital platforms to reach a broader audience. The results are expected to significantly impact the increase in MSME product sales and local economic growth. Abstract

Community service through a mentoring program for writing hijaiyah letters at TPQ Baiturrahman. Education is a form of conscious effort to change circumstances. From not knowing to knowing. Education has an important role, especially in the progress of the nation. Education is the main center in the formation of national cadres. No exception for religious education. Religious education is an important education for every individual. Learning activities at TPQ are relatively the same as Islamic boarding schools. The difference is that if at TPQ students leave from home, then at Islamic boarding schools students are domiciled. The PKM method used in the study uses the INPO method, namely (input-process-output). The INPO method is divided into three stages, namely the input stage, the process stage, and the output stage. The INPO method is a method that combines field research with qualitative and quantitative, based on the mentoring activities for the ability to write hijaiyah letters at TPQ Baiturrahman running smoothly with a very effective level of understanding of 20% and an effective 80% meaning that this activity was maximally successful.

Abstract

Leadership issues within student organizations often manifest as low adaptability to change, weak inter-divisional communication, and poor collaboration skills. These challenges reduce organizational effectiveness and hinder the holistic development of student leadership. To address this, a community service program was conducted to foster adaptive and collaborative leadership among the 2025 board members of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Bakti Indonesia. The training took place on May 28, 2025, at Vinus Tourism Area, Songgon, Banyuwangi, using an experiential learning approach that combined theoretical concepts with practical application through indoor and outdoor activities. The program included leadership theory sessions, case discussions, team problem-solving simulations, an outbound leadership challenge, and individual and group reflection. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and participant reflections. Results showed a 24.4% average increase in post-test scores, particularly in understanding adaptive leadership, collaborative ability, and readiness to face organizational dynamics. Behavioral changes were also evident, including improved listening, crisis readiness, and greater awareness of cross-divisional teamwork. Visual documentation and participant reflections confirmed the program’s transformational impact. This training effectively shaped student leadership that is participatory, contextual, and relevant to 21st-century challenges. Similar programs are recommended to be held regularly, accompanied by post-training mentoring and expansion to other student organizations for broader and more sustainable impact.

Abstract

Turning used plastic bottles into a decorative garden at PGRI 1 Mlandingan Kindergarten in Situbondo Regency is a creative way to reduce plastic waste and enhance the beauty of the environment. By utilizing used plastic bottles as the main material, the decorative garden can be created with a unique and attractive design. A systematic and participatory planning, implementation, and evaluation process can help increase the success of the activity and provide greater benefits to the school and the environment. Thus, turning used plastic bottles into a decorative garden can be an effort to minimize the problem of plastic waste and enhance the beauty of the environment.
